Local shops, supermarket and chemist plus rail station within walkong distance also selection of places offering different types of food. The breakfast choice was good especially the pancakes as an alternative to the aassorted english fried breakfast.

Breakfast for me is Porridge and yoghurt/fruit although not on the menu I did ask if they could do some but the young man said only did what was on the menu, I was happy with the pancakes so not a problem but would like to have had a healthier option on offer.

Comfortable hotel. Room basic but clean and tidy. Hotel rooms are a bit tired but are fine. Lobby and bar/ restaurant area was nice. Staff were really nice and helpful.

Rooms could do with a paint. Bed was wobbly but was useable. A bit more choice at breakfast and perhaps simpler choices, eg standard breakfast fare like scrambled egg on toast etc ( although they very kindly made me scrambled egg on toast when I asked). Could do with cereals as an option.

Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. What made the visit especially was the breakfast. I was lovely. They accommodated for my allergy and the kitchen had remembered from the previous morning what I'd had and just gave it me without me asking.

In the room i had been given first I mentioned to the person in reception that there was a noise in the toilet which was continuous. I got the impression this feedback was not wanted and they wanted to hear it. They came to the room and they said that's just the way it is. I said this isn't right and they did change my room to one on the upper floor which was much better, and no noise from the bathroom.

My first and not last stay at the Stratton Hotel Biggleswade. All staff warm welcoming upon arrival. Thanks to front reception desk young lady who ensured things went smoothly and accordingly. Fantastic location and warm cozy clean tidy room certainly ensured a great comfy night sleep. Looking forward to staying there again 8n the near future.

Parking, Food. Saddle and spoke restaurant is really great. Very good menus. Size of rooms and big beds. Decent size telly in the bedroom. Plenty of hot water for a bath. Be prepared for security safety strip in the bath, great to prevent slipping...weird sitting on it though. Very good towels.

Some dusty areas but probably just like at home! Pillows very shallow. 10am check out a Sunday after a late ish night seemed harsh.

We liked the room and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel is easy to find and there is ample parking space. We enjoyed the evening meal, which was tasty and with good sized portions.

The mattress was very firm. Whilst there was a good choice of cooked breakfast, there were no cereals or fruit available as alternatives and orange juice was charged quite a lot extra for. My husband has a very small appetite due to ill health and was not up to eating a cooked breakfast. He did eventually get a slice of toast and a glass of milk but no jam or marmalade was offered. I enjoyed my steak and egg, but would have liked a piece of toast to finish off my breakfast.

The Stratton house is central in the town so easy to access the local shops and facilities as well as being close to the train station and nr family and friends. Under the new owners the hotel is clean and welcoming and comfortable and the food is excellent

Some of the bits in the bedroom were a little dated however they were still usable and in good order so this is very picky

The hotel is clear and comfortable and provides a home from home accommodation at a sensible price well done.

On the edge of town which on a hot day was a little too far,,but you can never have it all.good facilities in the town, restaurants.to cover most tastes a few shops and a major supermarket

The bar staff were very friendly

The room was very hot and the floor boards were very loud. When arriving paperwork was given for me to sign but when I pointed out to the reception gentleman he would not listen and after the 3rd time of saying the paperwork was incorrect I was going to just give in and then he found his mistake.

Breakfast very tasty & rooms very clean. Staff very polite , location wax great for the event we were going too

Although breakfast was very tasty but I think half a mushroom is very stingy & tea & coffee was self service but the hot water pot handle was scalding hot. Rooms not available till 3pm so the event we were attending started at 2pm so we had to get ready in the toilet. Not very pleasing
