The breakfast was a buffet and was a very good breakfast. A lot of buffet breakfasts have terrible fried eggs. The eggs were good. Evening meals were really nice. Staff were brilliant. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Lifts worked well, with a choice of two lifts.

We had a room on the front with a Seaview. The lights in the carpark shine up at the windows and spoil the view at night. The TV was a little old and didn't work. It was swapped pretty promptly for a TV for another room. The original room fridge didn't work and had been replaced by a freestanding fridge. The door on the old one was held shut with blue tack. The area the hotel is in is a little run down but there isn't much the hotel can do about that. The car park was £9 which in the winter could be free as there is plenty of on road parking next to the hotel... I used the parking on the road. So there were a few little things that weren't tip top but we still enjoyed our stay. The thing the hotel could change is the spot lights. Room maintenance could be improved.

beautiful example of a traditional sea front hotel location is perfect for all things Blackpool with 2 tram stops and a bus stop within a short distance of the front door breakfast was an amazing selection and cooked to perfection car park was £9 for overnight but we didn’t need to move it until 3pm the next day so gave us freedom to enjoy Blackpool despite having checked out

being such an old building the floor boards creak and the sash windows rattle. I packed our windows to stop the noise but couldn’t prevent the noise of the floorboards creaking all night. if your a light sleeper take earplugs

Beautiful period property which has retained many of its original features (people who like modern, corporate hotels probably wouldn't like this hotel). Large bedroom with extremely comfy bed, great free Wifi and onsite parking (£9) albeit there is also plenty of free street parking available. The hotel is huge with a lovely bar area, reasonably priced drinks, bar snacks available, a restaurant and leisure facilities (currently closed for refurbishment}. Bathroom had a bath and shower which had excellent pressure alongside free toiletries. We only stayed for 1 night due to seeing a show but would 100% book this hotel again. Breakfast was excellent, fleshly cooked hot selection, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, pastries, toast all included in the price.

Absolutely nothing, loved it.

Old glory hotel with beautiful reception. Nice stay but can find better for money paid. Staff great Liked · Booking in, breakfast and pleasant staff. Room large at top of turreted building. Breakfast good and plentiful. Great coffee. Pleasant restaurant staff. Bathroom was ok as was the hot room. Parking for me was available at 11AM. Nice dinner in evening though a tad pricey for what you get. Special mentions to Amanda, Emma, Ellie and Ricky on reception. Also to Panyotta , Sarah, Lawrence and Jack in restaurant. Morning and evening.

Disliked · DONT charge paying guests £9 per day to park. very expensive. Send the furniture in the bedrooms back to Noahs Ark and update. Shabby lampshades and ottoman style stool. Shabby armchair, and edging around bath was poor which was a surprise as the tiling was good in bathroom. Shower head old and very slow. Horrid curtain around bath. The whole corridor from the lift to the room was not vacuumed the time we were there and was not a good impression, debris all along. I did mention it to reception but as an observation and not a complaint. Bar was dull and dreary with old unwiped tables. left to sit outside in the cool evening air. It could be really beautiful with a bit more TLC. Perhaps charge a pound or two more and update.

The hotel, the staff and the location were spot on. We decided to use the train and not take the car so we used the tram and bus to get about, which we found easy. We visited Fleetwood and Lytham which from the hotel's location was straight forward. We had the Jubilee afternoon tea on the first day, went to Bispham to an Italian restaurant that we know on the second night and had dinner at the hotel on the last night, which we really enjoyed. A very enjoyable stay.

A bath mat to use when showering would have been helpful as I am unsteady on my feet these days. The pool was not in use but we knew that when we booked.

We love this place - it's all dilapidated grandeur on a huge scale, the kind of experience you'd hope for in an old resort like Blackpool! Parking is easy and right outside (£9 a night). Reception is fast and friendly. The impression when you go in is huge and impressive, and the dining rooms and service are old-school! Breakfast is plentiful and wide-ranging, served buffet-style. The room was small but comfortable and the bed had shining white sheets and was also very comfy. All the staff very friendly and helpful, particularly on reception and one time when we couldn't get our keycard to work.

Room was a bit creaky: super-clean, but with an old rattly sash window that was jammed open to start with (we released it) and basic and quite worn furniture.

Breakfast was a buffet ! there was plenty of it available, but it was very busy due to the nature of the weekend ! Staff were very helpful and the dining facility was imacculately clean Trams were frequent outside the Hotel to take you the few stops to the Centre and at only £6 per day ticket Bargain !

bed was a little soft and room was of a good size, although we could have done with more power points and maybe 2 bedside lights as oppose to just 1 ! the Hotel is old and could do with a little makeover, only 1 lift in the Hotel so if you find yourself on the top part of the hotel stairs can be an issue !

Food and Breakfast in general, Janet and her team going the extra mile, the Chef shows a great deal of consistency well done! Team smiling and courteous nothing too much trouble

Slight hiccup with room, and I had an issue not being able to utilise the electric toothbrush point (Broken) Amanda and her team on reception sorted it in record time, and helped us move to a lovely room and looked after us in general terms, bar and concierge service excellent Thank you One slight moan, why let people congregate around entrance door smoking and vaping/drinking, it is lowering the tone of the establishment, you should continue to raise standards cheers
