This hotel oozes old world charm and is so steeped in history. Just sitting in the reading room and being surrounded by pictures of the famous people who have stayed gives a feeling of privilege. I felt the hotel was well kept in spite of its age and it was nice and warm. The breakfast choice was one of the best I've experienced with a variety of fresh fruit such as 3 choices of melon, mixed fruit salads, granolas and yoghurts. Fresh poached eggs cooked to order too. Okay some of the bathrooms might be small but they were at the time the hotel was built, it is all part of the heritage. If you want all the "mod cons" go and book a sanitised stay at a Hilton

Nothing, the staff went out of their way to help us at all times and were very accommodating.

Firstly, thank you so much to all the staff for such an enjoyable stay! When we walked into the hotel, we were wowed by the grander of the building, with it's art deco features and panelling. Check in was a breeze, although our room was not ready at the time we checked in, but that didn't matter. We decided to check out the No 10 Bar, which was so cozy and good value for money. Once our room was ready, we decided not to use the lift and walk up the stairs to the 3rd floor. As we walked through the building, it was clear that this hotel is a really old girl and to be honest, the negative reviews only amplify how this is a grade 2 listed building and that work on the building is limited. She may be very old but remember, the Hotel is limited to what it can do, due to it's listed status. We got to the room and the Housekeeper had just finished servicing our room. We walked in and realised how cosy the room really was. We got a very comfy double bed, bedside tables, wall lights either side of the bed, a TV, a desk, a phone (which sadly didn't work!) plus chairs and a bath!!!!!! I live in a flat with a shower and have not had a bath in 2 and a half years and really enjoyed a really really hot soak. There was also a iron, safe and tea and coffee making facilities. We slept so well on the Egyptian Cotton Sheets under the thick dovet and woke up the next morning for Breakfast. What can I say about Breakfast... Well it was amazing. A selection of fruits, cereal, pancakes, toast and a cooked option. Plus you could go up as many times as you want. Plus we had a pot of coffee to ourselves too. That evening, we decided to have dinner in the Palm Court Restaurant. It was table service and was very reasonable for 2 people for 3 courses. I had the smoked Maceral, followed by the Shoulder of Lamb and then Icecream for desert. The staff, (as were all the staff throughout the hotel) were very attentive and polite.

Nothing. Everything was just as it should be. I can't complain! :)

We always enjoy staying at this hotel, although there are a few areas which need updating you have to remember the splendour of this 1867 Hotel in all its Granger All of the staff are professional friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We did have a few issues at check-in which was not the hotels fault more through Booking.com, but the hotel dealt with it extremely fast.

The only negative I would’ve had this time is a lengthy check-in weight of about 40 minutes as rooms weren’t ready and coach parties that had checked out that day were still occupying a reception area so there was nowhere to sit and wait for the new guests. Due to the weather the hotel this time was extremely warm and even with windows open not much ventilation even with radiators turned off but I’d rather it be too warm than too cold

Great location on the North side of Blackpool; close enough to all amenities, but also a quiet part of the town to relax. The hotel is beautiful and a great example of a luxury Victorian hotel. We informed the hotel before arriving we were booking for a special occasion and they upgraded us to the Windsor Suite, a really kind gesture and more than appreciated. It was great reading about the history of the hotel, famous visitors, and rooms such as the Dickens suite which was next door to our room, Churchill Suite, and Royal Suite. The food was good, staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. You can understand why the Imperial Hotel has been a popular location for many years and how luxurious it must have been in times gone by.

It took a little while longer to check in than you’d expect (almost 40 minutes) and we had to wait for our room to be ready well after the stated 15:00 time, however, as we’d been upgraded we cannot complain.

The breakfast was a buffet and was a very good breakfast. A lot of buffet breakfasts have terrible fried eggs. The eggs were good. Evening meals were really nice. Staff were brilliant. Room was clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Lifts worked well, with a choice of two lifts.

We had a room on the front with a Seaview. The lights in the carpark shine up at the windows and spoil the view at night. The TV was a little old and didn't work. It was swapped pretty promptly for a TV for another room. The original room fridge didn't work and had been replaced by a freestanding fridge. The door on the old one was held shut with blue tack. The area the hotel is in is a little run down but there isn't much the hotel can do about that. The car park was £9 which in the winter could be free as there is plenty of on road parking next to the hotel... I used the parking on the road. So there were a few little things that weren't tip top but we still enjoyed our stay. The thing the hotel could change is the spot lights. Room maintenance could be improved.

beautiful example of a traditional sea front hotel location is perfect for all things Blackpool with 2 tram stops and a bus stop within a short distance of the front door breakfast was an amazing selection and cooked to perfection car park was £9 for overnight but we didn’t need to move it until 3pm the next day so gave us freedom to enjoy Blackpool despite having checked out

being such an old building the floor boards creak and the sash windows rattle. I packed our windows to stop the noise but couldn’t prevent the noise of the floorboards creaking all night. if your a light sleeper take earplugs

Arrived on the Friday. plenty of parking spaces, which you pay £10 per day. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was big, twin beds on our request. Tea,coffee facilities and a fridge. Great sea view, through clean windows. Two chairs sat at the window, to watch the world go by.Beds were comfortable and had a great sleep, very little noise. Used room service, and very happy with the time it took to arrive and the quality. Breakfast was excellent, for myself who is Coeliac and requires a gluten free and for my non-gluten free sister. They are well clued up, you get a separate menu and server who deals with your choices.

Sadly I had my perfume "go missing".

The building is gorgeous. The Imperial has an extensive history. You can book a tour of the whole hotel including the most historical parts, and it is worth it. All the staff are welcoming, professional and friendly, nothing is too much trouble! Requests are dealt with promptly. The food is exceptional. The variety available for breakfast is fantastic , and the chef is prompt at replenishing the cooked element, and staff are as prompt with the continental elements so you know everything is fresh. The rooms are clean, well decorated, and tea and coffee provisions are replenished every day, but if you should require extra, reception can provide them too. Bathroom facilities are very very good and as a disabled person, I felt very safe using the bath/shower. There is shower gel etc provided, which you can also purchase. The location is very good for both the trams and buses, the stops are a few metres from the hotel. They also have a large car park.

On occasions the hotel heating system can make the building very very warm, a little too warm in fact.

Beautiful period property which has retained many of its original features (people who like modern, corporate hotels probably wouldn't like this hotel). Large bedroom with extremely comfy bed, great free Wifi and onsite parking (£9) albeit there is also plenty of free street parking available. The hotel is huge with a lovely bar area, reasonably priced drinks, bar snacks available, a restaurant and leisure facilities (currently closed for refurbishment}. Bathroom had a bath and shower which had excellent pressure alongside free toiletries. We only stayed for 1 night due to seeing a show but would 100% book this hotel again. Breakfast was excellent, fleshly cooked hot selection, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, pastries, toast all included in the price.

Absolutely nothing, loved it.
