We were in Bournemouth for the weekend with our dog and needed a dog friendly hotel. The Trouville was perfect. Great location & very good value for money with breakfast included. We did not have any other meals there but breakfast was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful weekend on the beach with the dog and will definitely be back.

There was nothing that we did not like. I have read some very scathing reviews about the property and I believe that some people just expect far too much. This is a 3* property not the Ritz and the stay is priced accordingly. The property is a little tired and is being renovated in stages.

lovely place, well located, comfy bed with nice pillows, swimming pool medium size but perfect for a refreshing dip.

Sauna was not working, there was a fan in my room but it did not work properly cause is too old, i missed a small fridge for my drinks there considering the room got enough space for it. We came 1 hour early before 3pm check in because our room was ready and after 20 minutes there someone tryed to get in the room without knocking the door to check if everything was ok with cleaning the problem was we were changing clothes almost naked fortunately the door was locked. just be careful guys

Location of hotel is fantastic, short walk to BIC, beach/pier, town centre and gardens. Helpful staff. Facilities in the room (fan, tea/coffee, etc). The pool was nicely heated. Breakfast was good quality and a nice selection.

Facilities were worn and dated and rooms were not as well maintained or cleaned to the standard of larger chains. Bed was too soft for my liking resulting in a poor night's sleep. No control of the room temperature, radiator on/off automatically with no manual override. Pool is in need or refurbishment. Breakfast needed replenishing more regularly, guests were sat waiting for plates, bread or the toaster, yoghurt etc.

Good Location, room clean beds comfy

Receptionist ( British girl with purple hair) was meant to make sure cot bed will be in place before bed time, this was never sorted out and I had to argue with night shift reception staff who tried saying this can only be done daytime as housekeeping has locked all the cupboards and noone has access. 10 minutes later cot bed was delivered to the room but all the stress wasn't worth it. So people with little kids make sure that cot bed is in your room before evening. This was the only let down to the hotel, I had no issues otherwise.

Room was tidy. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were what you'd expect for the price. All the staff we met were friendly and efficient. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the hotel but we noticed that the catering looked first class. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and other amenities. I would certainly consider staying at the Trouville again.

The window in our room was difficult to open from the closed position. Could have done with a few more sachets of sugar, teabags and milk. These were the only small items for this answer.

Well equipped room all you need, the shower was great, pressure was perfect and heated towel rail for your towels perfect. bed was comfortable clean had a good night sleep. The whole stay was just perfect.

To park your car over night was very expensive. the charge for a dogs stay was over the top £20 per night.

The location was great, so close to the centre and where a lot of the hotels are. It's also not too far from the station (you can walk about 30 mins or get a bus). The room was big, with a private bathroom and a BATH 😍 which I was very pleased about. TV in the room, so i was able to chill and watch Antiques Road Trip when I arrived. And the hotel has a swimming pool, which I was happy to make use of before I left. It was quiet since it was Tuesday at around 8:30am and I basically had the pool to myself which was nice!

My only real complaint is that there was damp in the corner of my room (the carpet was wet just in one corner), this was room 304 I believe just so the hotel is aware of this issue. This was after a bath, so not sure if there is a leak or something.

Parking was a bonus, one of the reasons I booked with Trouville, although a little pricey on top of paying for the hotel accommodation. Swimming pool, although it did look a bit cloudy. Location was amazing, right next to restaurants, shops, gardens and a short walk to the beach.

The breakfast was good although I would have liked a choice of pastries or croissants. The plates were cold for the hot breakfast which was a little cool also. So I would suggest hot plates and serving hotter food.

It was clean and comfortable. Good location. Very helpful staff. We were in our first room, although the room was lovely, the shower was running very hot with no cold water. I spoke to the manager and we were moved immediately. They couldn't do anymore for us. Okay! The hotel could do with a little updating, but it's clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of cereals, yoghurts, toast, fruit, etc, as well as a cooked breakfast. The swimming pool is quite small and we found finding time around the private swimming lessons for children were a bit of a pain. It was within walking distance to the BIC(2 mins) and 5 mins to the beach front and the same for the city centre All in all, though, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely go again
