Breakfast wasn't included in the price. The room was clean and tidy.friendly and helpful staff.

The entrance to the room has 23 steps so did not cater for my disability needs. The reception door entrance has a high step so also does not cater for people with mobility disability..I informed the hotel about my mobility disability that I walk with 2 crutches and have difficulty using stairs but I was still allocated with a room having 23 stairs leading up to it..climbing these steps caused my back and leg pain to deteriorate. My anxiety increased each times I suggled up the stairs with both my sisters helping me.

This was our second visit here. Room was excellently situated, clean and very comfy. Kitchen area was basic and the fridge was was small - only suitable to hold a few drinks, and not food which I had hoped for. It had a microwave but no microwavable dishes / bowls to cook anything so that was a dissapointment. The location of Newlands is excellent being a 15 min walk into Charmouth beach and the Charmouth Heritage Centre for fossil info, guided walks etc. Bus stop right outside the complex and easy access to Lyme Regis in one direction and Weymouth in the other. The Jurrasic Coaster buses run past in either direction. With the £2 bus ticket cap its a cheap option, and we got a 7 day group ticket on the first bus app for £55 which saved us money. On site at Newlands there is plenty to do for the kids with a outdoor park, indoor games room with pool, air hockey etc, two swimming pools (you have to book and pay extra for these) a soft play area, a gym, out door table tennis and plenty of grass to run around on. There is a laundry which is useful for top up washes part way through your stay. The Tow Bar offers a good selection of food and drinks on site (table booking are advisable.) there is a small Spar shop next to reception for basics. We used the Tesco Express in Lyme as had more of a selection. Def would recommend and we will be returning again next year. It is a family favourite now.

The location is excellent and we also liked the comfort of the apartment. Newlands is in a great location and 15 min walk from Charmouth beach. Bus stop outside makes easy access to Lyme Regis in one direction and Weymouth and beyond in the other, using the Jurassic Coaster buses.

excellent family room that was larger than expected. very clean and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. The restaurant was great with entertainment for the kids and huge meals and drink deals as well. good to have a convenience store on site as well.

the pool was a bit disappointing and i'm not sure how they justify charging 3 GBP each time you go and not even give you a towel? can't see what the charge is for? Not even a wrist band so you can go in and out during the day? The indoor pool gets booked up quickly (a separate booking needed) but the outdoor was mostly empty when we were there. I think there is a better way to facilitate this for families. Also the sauna was out of action.

Very friendly staff. Nice grounds, gorgeous view, beautiful beach nearby. We used the pool, jacuzzi and sauna - I loved having the facilities nearby (paid £3.50 per adult). The room was simple but very clean!

I wish we knew there “might be” entertainment noise (We stayed in a room in the motel) as this would have possibly deterred us from staying on weekend in the future. We made a non-refundable booking and then got an email mentioning possible noise. But we stayed on a Wednesday so it was quiet. Our room was a little hot so we had to keep the windows open - it would have been a nightmare with a toddler if the music downstairs was on loud!

Fantastic site, lovely and clean. Outdoor pool especially was a bonus during the amazing weather. Lots of outside space with a park. Spa on site. Didn't use the restaurant or bar facilities but all looked good. Would stay again and recommend to others.

We stayed in a studio, non of us liked the pillows, too flat and crumply! Lovely skylight, but no blind which meant the room was blaring with light as soon as the sun rose - take an eye mask! The studio was lovely and clean apart from dust/cobwebs/dead spiders around windows and blinds and cupboard areas which needed a good wipe down. Lost something which fell under the bedside cabinet, when pulled out was very dusty and dead buggy underneath. Howev, well-useded areas were spotless. All minor things which would not put us off booking again 😀

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was well portioned for the price, the accommodation was comfortable and clean with everything we could need in a self catering studio. Both swimming pools were excellent.

The only downside was the number of spiders in our studio. The windows were open a small amount when we arrived and with the play park and grassy area all around it wasn't a surprise but I wish I'd thought of it before going in with our 5 year old. We must have evacuated 20+ of the little beggers after doing a full sweep. Not much that can be done about that though.

The staff are always friendly and attentive. We booked 3 rooms as a family group and were all upgraded to the studios which was great. Pool is lovely and restuarant was good. Was very nice to have dinner in the sunshine

The only negatives were some of the other guests with 10-12 yr olds kicking balls at our rooms late at night and causing chaos in the pool (no adult supervision, going in the adult only sauna, throwing balls at other guests in the pool). Also, there wasn't parking outside our rooms as the caravan/campers took it all up which was disappointing but not the fault of Newlands.

Great facilities, especially for a family. Service from staff barman, waitress, cleaners, front desk so on first class always with a smile & very helpful. Beds comfy & I felt the food was good vale & great to have a restaurant onsite. Location very good we loved charmouth Excellent facilities for a family (soft play poll so on) Pool was good. A little inconvenient having to book/pay but I can see why they do it in order to manage the number of people in peak. We were off peak and pool was quiet

It is true in the motel there is a little noise (for us could here kitchen fan & in my brother room said they could hear bar a little). However, fir me not super noticeable & not anything that disturbed anyone sleep but if you are a sensitive sleeper then something to consider. We were in off peak season so generally quieter

Lovely room, great amenities on site, kids soft play and outdoor playground, bar, indoor and outdoor pool. The food was ok. Not a great selection but nice fish and chips in town. Beach was only a 20 min walk away. Room had lovely decoration, very clean, well laid out. Loved the common room outside as well. Wifi connection was great.

There were just a few niggly things, there was no shelf in the shower to put your shampoo/body wash, only 2 chairs at the table for a 4 bed room. Lights were good but no low lights.

We came to Charmouth for a guided fossil hunting walk and booked one night at Newlands because the price was very reasonable and the location convenient. We were with 2 adult daughters and booked a family motel room. We did not expect at £111 to have so much space - and a lounge available on the same floor. Everywhere was very clean and in a good state.

However I got back ache from the bed, which was too soft. The weather was hot and bedrooms were a bit stuffy with no air con. There was no shampoo, but luckily one of us had brought some.
