Excellent directions led me straight to the property which was well lit in the dark so nice and easy to locate key etc. There was plenty of parking on site. Host very helpful and friendly.

The main road which runs alongside the property boundary (although you access the property from the lane, not the main road) was really busy, which I wasn't expecting. Because the night was so hot all the windows were open and the traffic noise wasn't great, especially if you're not used to it! Breakfast was a little disappointing - maybe a toaster in the room would be a nice addition.

It was family that were staying there and the comments i make are from them. I booked three rooms and two rooms were noted as good, but the other room was deemed to be small. The B & B worked for what we wanted it to do in reasonable distance for dinner at Infusions Café and to us in High Rougham. Beth and Mike with me on the telephone were extremely friendly and accomodating.

Breakfast was prepacked. I would expect a proper full English breakfast to be available in all B & Bs though this is becoming less and less. this is the main reason for marking this B & B down. After all it was a very short stay and a bed for the night. The family arrived, got changed caught a taxi at 18.20, had dinner, return taxi arrived at 22.50. They left at around 10.00 on the Sunday.

Good well organised B&B. The directions that you are provided with to find the property are clear and good. Very clean throughout the bedroom and bathroom. Pleasant proprietors. Breakfast is eaten in the bedroom, which is a spacious room with a fridge, microwave and toaster. Breakfast consists of cereal, pastries, fruit juice, yogurt, bread and conserves and a small selection of fruit. Plenty of room for parking, and a good rural position some 3 miles from Bury St Edmunds.

The stairs to the room were quite steep, and there is no help with your luggage. Some lights over the mirror in the bathroom didn't work. As a solo traveller, I found having everything in your room a bit isolating. It would have been good to have some cheeses and smoked meats with the breakfast. The additional information provided after booking is rather too long, and perhaps could be less voluminous.

Loved the house and the character of the building. Beautiful large staircase. It was clean and tidy. The bathroom was large a spacious, the shower was powerful and very warm. Well presented all round, the owner is a very friendly gentleman and would recommend the B&B to anyone.

It was a really warm evening and the room got very warm. So a little uncomfortable to sleep in, but only a minor gripe and certainly wouldn’t put me off recommending or visiting again

The bread in the box outside our room was great. I think it's especially great for those with anxiety issues or other mental health issues who struggle with social interactions as it doesn't force guests to socialise when having their breakfast if they dont want to. I thought this was a great idea. The host was really kind. The room was really clean. Plenty of refreshments in our own little fridge such as milk, orange juice and cereal etc. The milk tasted amazing! Never tasted milk so nice and creamy before! Overall a great short stay!

I loved how cozey the room felt, there was pleant of tea and coffee and milk to drink, the breakfast was more lovely. We stayed in the room with the en-suit bath, it is much deeper than it first looks. The views from the windows were lovely and there is a big wardrobe to hang your clothes if you are staying for longer than one night. I went with my partner and my parents for a wedding event the next day, we are already talking about coming back next year for a nice weekend away. The staff were very friendly, if they are not there to greet you by the door they will text you a code to get your keys from the lock box next to the front door. Breakfast is delivered to you in a very cute wooden box some time in the night, it is left outside your door so you dont have to wake up eairly to have it. There in a mini fridge and microwave already in your room along with the kettle, above that airea is also a tv which gets all the free view channels, and there is a dvd player on the side. On the landing when you go up the stairs near some of the other bathrooms is a smallish bookshelf that has a nice selection of books and dvd's for you to borrow. The house is surrounded by lots of trees so the noise from the main road is dampened quite alot. According to google maps there is a very big lake near the property, it says its a 6 minute walk...it is if you are willing to walk through a fenced off woodland airea, there is a public footpath to the lake but you would do better to drive to it first as its quite a big walk to get to it otherwise.

The floor is a little creeky and theres a tiny bit of chipping in the wall pain in the bathroom, plus its a carpeted bathroom which i have never experienced before. Really though these are very trivial complaints as i still have a lovely stay.

Had a 2 night stay to attend a wedding. The room was relaxing and comfortable. Continental Breakfast was good. Microwave was useful. Spacious bathroom.

There was a mix up regarding the payment that was out of our control and made us feel uncomfortable. Would be better if the shower head could be attached to the wall. People moving around on the landing and waking us in middle of night!

A lovely rural location - proprietor sent very clear directions. Continental breakfast included everything we wanted and already in the room which facilitated early getaway. Lovely large bathroom. Loads of parking

The bathroom was across the landing from the room but this was explained on the booking and didn't cause any problems. The room was small but it was adequate for our needs

Excellent Continental breakfast, choice of all common cereal, proper bread farmhouse and white, yoghurts fruit juice, croissants, pain au chocolate and more. Toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge in room. Massive bathroom. Proprietor charming and helpful. Building in wooded surrounding, peaceful and isolated though very easy access to A134 and Bury St Edmunds

Nothing unless you must have full English breakfast but the Continental so good you won't mind that! No shower cubicle but shower attachments to bath plumbing so not a problem, unless you have problems getting in and out of baths

Well what can I say, our stay at Brighton’s was perfect after the heartbreaking start to the week when we lost our dear little dog. Mike was so understanding as it meant we wouldn’t arrive till later that night. He is such a kind and gentle soul and so accommodating. We could not complain about a thing, room was big, bright and very comfortable, I’ve never slept so well. Double aspect windows looking over garden, in tranquil countryside with the sound of birds constantly and yes mike I did see the woodpecker this morning but not the stag😢unfortunately but there’s always a next time. The bathroom has to be the biggest we’ve seen and lived the carpet under our feet, deluxe 😊. The few days we spent at Brighton’s was well needed and so very enjoyable and special on sad times. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much Mike From Mandy & Stu x

There wasn’t 1 thing we didn’t like, loved it all. Thank you Mike
