Fantastic breakfasts including the made to order ‘Brewers breakfast’. We had really tasty dinners while we were there (the mushroom & Stilton mac’n’cheese with salad and also chicken’n’tarragon pie with mash & root vegetables) washed down with their fabulous real ales brewed on the premises. All the staff were very friendly and our room spacious and comfortable. The overhead shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The hotel is nicely located midway between the railway station and the city centre.
We both found the wi-do was a little intermittent and there was a small leak from the fan in the bathroom otherwise everything else was excellent.

Amazing en-suite, spacious and powerful shower with hot water. Comfortable bed. Great choice at breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Own beers served in bar. Good food.
Heating on a timer, first night was very cold and I slept with a cardigan on. Metal steps up to the room felt hard to climb. For 2 people drinks supplies were scant only 2 teabags, 1 hot chocolate and 1 packet of biscuits. Parking was unusual not being able to park at hotel until 4pm having to move the car on Saturday morning by 10am and then back after 4pm due to residents parking restrictions. No car parks local that offer 24 hour parking.

The bedroom was lovely and I had a huge bathroom with lots of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet - I had a good night's sleep! I ate in the bar in the evening and had a superb dinner. Breakfast the next morning had a good choice and was most enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
The bedroom was a little cool although, to be fair, the weather was cold and windy and the building is an old one. I had to order breakfast the night before and state a time. I arranged to be in the bar area for 8.15 (my time) but it was 8.45 before my cooked breakfast arrived. People came in after me and they appeared to be served first. Some of the bedrooms are up a narrow circular staircase which was a little tricky going down with a suitcase on my day of departure.

The staff, location and food are all exceptional.
We have stayed at this property on four occasions and each time the only issue we have encountered is the parking, we parked at Ram Meadow car park that is reasonably priced, however it’s a good ten to fifteen minutes walk from the property, when I had dropped our luggage off at the accommodation then parked at this car park unfortunately on my return to the accommodation it absolutely poured with rain, and yes I was drenched, not the best start to a weekend away. I feel the management should present a better case to the local authority for a limited number of visitors parking permits, after all when you stay at the property you are a resident.

Excellent Breakfast made to order. Very friendly and accomodating staff who made us breakfast to go.
Breakfast only started at 08:00, so we had some challenges getting breakfast and making our meetings on time. The staff were very accommodating and made us pain au chocolat to go. Which was fantastic, but not quite as nice as the incredible breakfast they serve from 08:00 onwards. Parking was a bit of a challenge. Free parking outside the pub (except for 10am to 4pm), but often hard to find an available spot.

Excellent welcome by Max. Excellent comfortable ground floor room with Nepresso coffee machine. Luckily able to park in street outside.
Service in restaurant needs work. Astonished at not being able to add dinner to room bill, especially as we were not advised of this. Having been ignored for some time after finishing our meal, we went to our room only to receive a call asking us to return to pay. As we were booked and had paid for two nights on arrival it was unlikely that we'd have done a runner before sleeping even one night! Bizarre policy, left an unpleasant taint on our stay.

The feel of the place. The staff. The beer being made there! Beer was great and they served good pub grub. The trivia quiz going on was fun to witness.
Getting there was awkward. Satnav told me to turn right shortly after entering Northgate street from a roundabout and I didn’t notice the very narrow Cadney Lane she was telling me to turn into. Then the one way system and a few diversions conspired to prevent me getting to the property. Ended up parking and walking there and got advice from a friendly staff member and all was well.

Great location just at start of old Bury Edmunds within walking distance of all sights and shops. Room was rustic, comfortable with nice shower and added touch of Nespresso machine. Food for dinner and breakfast was great and of course beer was amazing. Staff were all friendly and helpful throughout stay.
No major surprise or issue but some people may not like constant hop smell but it is a brewery. Check is at bar and did feel bit silly standing there with all my stuff to check in. Parking is always available but nearby act parks are cheap and easy to get too.

The bar is lovelyvwith bare wood and odd chairs. Loved it and the range of beers from the brewery. There is a lovely covered outside seating area as well. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board and a chair. Tea making facilities and a coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. The bathroom was lovely with a large shower, and toiletries. The breakfast was lovely and we didn't feel hurried at all. All the staff are friendly and it is only a 10 minute walk to all the great shops, theatres and cathedral in the town. Definitely aim to stay there again.

The lady who met us on arrival, was also our waitress, super friendly and made to feel very welcome. A credit to the company. The bar is fab and the hotel room was spacious. Bed soooo comfy! Huge fan in the room and it was well lit. Had a lovely vibe
The kettle was so limescaled up I couldn’t actually open it. So did make me question when it was last cleaned or checked. There was a random patch on the wall by the tv which hasn’t been painted which once you see it, you can’t unsee. The breakfast included was randomly covered in chives. Not nice. And the sausages were Rock solid as clearly reheated. Didn’t enjoy the breakfast at all
