We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, warm, clean and very well appointed with high quality soft furnishings. The breakfast was delicious with super service and quality food. Location was just right being only a short walk from a choice of pubs and restaurants in Callander with ample parking.

The owners are continuously updating the property and there are always things you would like as a guest. For us, a shelf in the lovely walk in shower would have been useful. Mixer taps would save water. Door furniture could do with updating, but these are just observations not dislikes.

This is a first class establishment. The whole hotel is immaculate and tastefully decorated. Our room was excellent with a good layout, comfortable beds and a great en suite where everything worked. We had a warm greeting from the owners on arrival. Our breakfast was also well presented and of good quality. We have stayed here before and would not hesitate in recommending to others. We intend to stay again when next in this area

There is really nothing to fault this excellent small hotel.

Very comfortable and nicely furnished room (no 6). Good location only a few minutes walk from the centre of Callander. Good off-road car parking in front of the property and safe for motorcycles if touring. Very nice bar area with a huge choice of whisky as well as other drinks. Very good breakfast in a nice dining area and great service from the owners. Overall an excellent B&B which we would highly recommend and we would definitely return if in the Callander area.

There were no issues.

Our welcome from Susan made us feel like we had arrived home. The room was fresh and spacious with a very comfy bed. They have a really beautiful bar downstairs where it would be lovely to relax in after a wet day hiking. You order your breakfast from a wide range the night before and it’s lovely to have everything brought to your table in the morning. There was a feeling of calm competence in this hotel and we would definitely return.

Shower was a bit small.

Lovely big room and a good sized en suite. Lovely breakfast room with good choices for breakfast. Ideal location. 5 minutes to the town centre. Entrance to river walk was across the road. Lovely hosts who were always available to help

There wasn't anything we didn't like. One very small point though would be a chest of drawers. We were only there for a couple of days so managed fine but would be useful if saying for a longer period

The breakfast was very good with lots of options. All hot food cooked to order. The staff were very attentive and always interacted with us and gave lots of advice about things to do in the area.

Nothing really. Only my husband found the stairs a bit difficult, but as he's 82 years old it was hardly the hotel's fault.

Location - near shops, eating places. Parking . Breakfast - A good selection of cooked food, selection of fruit, cereals, yoghurt. Very friendly staff who could not do enough for you. No 1 bedroom large room with settee and chair to relax Bathroom large with bath and separate shower

Comfort, cleanliness, friendliness,plenty I n room tea/coffee etc, in room local information. Bedroom decor and carpeting was to a high standard. Adequate toiletries and towels. The shower was excellent but - see below Excellent breakfast with a good pre-order night before system. WiFi Parking space, nice gardens.

Although adequate and functional ,the en-suite shower & toilet unit was quite small with the hand basin located in the bedroom area.

Beautiful house and quality furnishings, just on the edge of town and close to pubs and restaurants. The breakfast was perfect. and the hosts are superb. There is a fabulous little bar in the hotel,serving drinks from 3pm -7pm, we didn’t use it on this occasion, but plan to stay and try the great selection of whiskies on another occasion.

The breakfast room was well set out and food excellent. Staff were great. There is an excellent malt whisky bar. Staff were lovely. Room had all you need for a stop over.

A marketing issue only. This is not a hotel today. It is now run as a good B&B. Selling the property on here as Poppies Hotel is wrong. The bar closes at 7.30 pm. No meals other than breakfast. ( owners need time to themselves understandably)
