It was so warm and welcoming. The staff, Stephanie especially, were all so pleasant, helpful and friendly. They were all very attentive to the customers’ needs ensuring a happy and comfortable stay. The food, drink and breakfast was great with an outstanding selection and variety. The bar and restaurant were beautiful too. With a log burning fire burning throughout the evening and the dining room furnished beautifully with hints of Scotland. The bedroom was beautifully furnished with great facilities- the bed was so comfortable!! Location was ideal for a stopover heading north too. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Outstanding!

The room was cosy, bed was very comfortable, shower room was perfect with a very nice big shower, room with filled with teas, coffee, snacks and biscuits. Bar/restaurant area was nice and gutted we arrived too late to use these facilities. So will definitely come back if we are in the area for dinner and drinks. Breakfast was amazing! Fabulous continental breakfast selection and the cooked breakfast (which was included in the price) was amazing! Staff were very nice and accommodating to our late arrival (due to a flight delay)

We stayed 3 nights, room nice and very comfi bed, good bathroom. Breakfast very good, dinner reasonably good, service overall good. Enjoyed the stay!

One dinner was really not good at all and one breakfast we waited for 45 minutes and when we asked again, the cook supposedly lost the ticket. Having owned restaurants, I know better: server had 4 tables and had no clue / eye on what was going on. But, in all fairness, the 3 day stay was really enjoyable and the above only means we score them a 9 instead of a 10. We’d book again, no discussion.

Everything! Our room, a Deluxe King, was spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. We dined in the restaurant each evening, with plenty of choice on the menu. Breakfasts were substantial, perfectly cooked and delicious and set us up for the day. This was our third visit and we have enjoyed it more each time we have stayed. Previously we had only been able to stay overnight but booked for three nights on this occasion so that we could spend more time visiting local attractions. We can recommend The Kelpies, Argaty Red Kites and Stirling Art Gallery and Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, considered it excellent value for money and look forward to visiting again sometime.

We could not find fault with anything at The Woodside, it is a lovely hotel which we are happy to recommend.

The Woodside is a family-run hotel. The staff were great, very friendly. We had dinner there and felt that the menu had a good variety. We both loved our food. We sat in the cozy lounge afterward and got a good recommendation for whisky from the barman. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including lovely snacks and water. Breakfast was great. They had some of the best sausages we had in Scotland. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wished we had booked another night.

The shower was small but not unmanageable.

Very friendly staff. Ideal parking close to building. There were several free snacks in the room. Shower was nice and hot/powerful.

The hotel had cold areas and our room took quite a while to warm up too. There were a few hooks missing on the curtain in our room. We paid for B&B but this didn't include a full Scottish breakfast (which was extra £11). We had a bacon butty included as the 'standard' breakfast. This was a disappointment, as previous visits had included a great full English/Scottish breakfast.

Fantastic room, spacious, big bathroom with large walk in power shower, thoughtful free welcome gift tin with snacks and water. Food was great, we had a sunday roast which was really good although above average price, staff were great

Although the breakfast was really good there was quite a wait for it and that was purely down to the fact that there was only one member of staff on who was taking orders, doing drinks, serving and clearing and cleaning tables, adding one more person to help in the morning would make a huge difference

This hotel has been refurbished to a high standard. The breakfast was amazing and the meals in the restaurant were very nice. All the staff were polite and friendly. The room was very clean with a super bathroom. It was at the front of the hotel but we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. There is plenty of parking. As a base for seeing friends in this area it was ideal, we stayed for 5 nights and we will certainly be back. We would recommend it to anyone.

There were no negatives at all for our stay.

Clean, tidy, modern, staff friendly, food excellent. At breakfast there was a fire alarm which was handled quickly & smoothly by staff. Little hiccup with replacement breakfast (went cold while we were evacuated) but breakfast was still excellent.

Room was modern and very clean. Bathroom great and spacious. Lovely welcome note with a few treats too! Bed was comfortable. Husband had the full Scottish breakfast and said it was best he has had. I had the full Vegetarian breakfast and that was lovely too - plenty of choice on the plate. Orange juice and tea/coffee also very good. The location is in a good place for travelling around Stirlingshire. We visited Doune Castle and went to Callander both very close by. Everything was good. Staff, Room, Bathroom, Facilities. It was a really good place to stay and I would recommend to others.
