The location is gorgeous, on top of its own hill overlooking Dunblane. The pool and sauna (one hot sauna, one steam room) are decent, albeit in their own seperate building. The employees are very friendly and helpful (and you get a delicious cookie when checking in). The kitchen especially the restaurant in the evening is a luxury experience, which we enjoyed on our last night there. The food was beyond delicious. The room is pretty standard and is kept very clean.

The breakfast is very good, but you need to pay extra to use the the entire buffet (incl. hot section) and not just the continental, which is bit of a shame.

All good. The bar staff, restaurant staff and reception staff were great. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, the Kailyard restaurant served amazing food and good prices. Our room was very comfortable

House keeping was a bit sporadic! Sometimes we'd get clean mugs in our room sometimes not! We also had the wrong size duvet for the duvet cover. Our cover was king size, our duvet was double. Alerted staff at the end of our trip as it was so warm it didn't need changing whilst we were there. But if it had been colder we'd have told staff during our stay - as I slept with only the duvet cover over me - no duvet

The food was utterly delicious and restaurant service excellent. checkin was lovely and friendly and we enjoyed the yummy cookies. we had a lovely time at the hotel

There was a wedding on which everyone seemed to be having a great time at - in the morning there were cans, untidy areas outside and main reception toilets had still not been cleaned from the night before. This I felt should have been done before guests were up in the morning for breakfast - was still not done at 930am when we had breakfast. just a small piece of feedback as otherwise a great stay

lovely hotel, nice location. the warm cookies on arrival were a lovely touch and the Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries are fab. the access to the pool, sauna and steam room made our stay. the reception and dining staff were really lovely.

we had no shower gel and it clearly hadn’t been checked by housekeeping as it was an empty bottle. housekeeping hovered about outside our door for half an hour before we checked out (an hour before checkout time), even coming in at one point even though we had met them outside our room coming back from breakfast and hung the “leave for now” card outside. it was really noisy at night.

Stayed several times at Dunblane Hydro. Location is excellent and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The Kailyard food is exquisite in my opinion. Nick Nairn really does know his cuisine. Leisure facilities are great and almost adjoining of the main building. We had a great Easter break. Would without hesitation recommend to all.

Some entertainment would not go amiss. Once out of the dining room there is nothing to do; except watching others on their mobile phone . Seriously, the atmosphere declines. Sad because it's a lovely experience and the staff are very attentive and nothing is any trouble.

Lovely location (although a very steep walk to the hotel if going into the town without the car!) and very friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and there was a massive selection which covered everything. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were as soft as marshmallows. I would stay again but just in a different bedroom.

It was a very small room and tightly packed with furniture so 2 people couldn't easily pass each other. When we opened the wardrobe doors they touched the bed so you were trapped in between the doors! It was difficult to bend down and see anything on the shelves in there and it made the safe unusable as we couldn't bend down to use it as the bed and wardrobe doors were in the way. The only other issue is we were next door to a room that had dogs in there. Every time we went back to our room and opened the door they would bark as the doors were very close to each other. It would probably be a good idea to have dogs in a room where the doors are further apart and more soundproofed rooms.

Beautiful setting at the top of a small hill, huge expansive lawn, sweeping down to the bottom. the leisure facilities were first class. The staff were efficient and helpful, especially the bar staff, they were very friendly. The bar meal was tasty and had excellent quality ingredients.

The.large room adjacent to the cocktail bar had seating and tables to enjoy a bar meal and drink but it was a bit unkempt looking.,flooring scratched, curtain tie backs missing or frayed. it detracted from the main bar area which in contrast, was lovely.

Nice big grand hotel with nice decor in public areas. Bedrooms nice enough, nothing fancy. Majority of staff friendly enough. Great choice for breakfast. Good location of hotel. Bus stop near end of drive. About another 10 mins walk into town. Nice Indian restaurant 5 mins from bottom of hotel drive. Nice views from entrance to hotel and front facing rooms. Small but adequate pool & gym in a separate building next door.

Gate house at entrance to drive needing tidied up and an old empty banner frame needs to be removed or used properly - doesn’t create a good first impression. There was an unfortunate strong air freshener smell in the entrance, main reception and lounge areas which was rather off putting. It was irritating to 1 of my party who had allergies. When asked a staff member did turn it off in the lounge where we were sitting. No pavement down the drive (5/10 minute walk). Few small niggles with room - charging points not beside bed, shower cubicle very small, no towel hooks. 1 restaurant on site with a lounge menu, not a great choice, especially for vegetarians. Quite expensive for food and drinks. Restaurant was very warm. Jacuzzi same temperature as pool.

Breakfast was beautifal

Room was lovely but bathroom door was breaking away at the bottom. In the communal areas the lovely parquet floor was badly scratched- a good buff and polish would have sorted that - the arms of the chairs in the bar were greasy - the carpets in the lounge were joined but not meeting and there was no tape across making it a trip hazard. I suppose I should have raised that issue with the management.

The location was good, walking distance to the town and nice grounds with lovely views. I enjoyed my swim in the pool. There was a very good choice for breakfast. The dining room was very nice, and the staff helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening, which was nice.

We were staying one night and booked the cheapest room available. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and had a very nice bathroom but there was no view from the window and the bedroom was quite small. I wouldn’t have wanted to have a longer stay in that particular room.
