Great location for catching direct bus to Cambridge. Very comfortable modern room. Great breakfast. Friendly staff and quick check-in. Close to Morrisons and Home Bargains.

The hotel was perfectly clean, well appointed and newly refurbished. Large quiet rooms. TV was large and worked (not always the case!) good water pressure and air con controlled from a panel. The service is excellent and 24 hours. Large car park easy to get round, and walking distance of Camborne which is actually a nice little commuter village with a busy enough centre.

The food is OK. The evening menu is essentially bar snacks (pizza / burgers). The breakfast is almost good, but the eggs are reconstituted I think. They didn't seem fresh. Some fish would turn it from good to excellent.

A solid 10 across the board — Holiday Inn Express Cambourne, Cambridge exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything ran so smooth and organised. The location, though a bit outside the city center, offered peace and quiet — a welcome retreat after a busy day in Cambridge. Public transport and parking were both convenient, making it easy to reach the heart of the city. The room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with a super comfy bed that gave us a perfect night’s rest. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like plenty of plug points, great water pressure in the shower, and excellent soundproofing. The breakfast was generous, fresh, and well-managed — from hot options to fresh fruit and pastries, it was a great way to start the day. But the real standout? The staff. Every team member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They made me feel at home, and nothing was too much trouble. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, I’d highly recommend staying here — it’s great value, with top-notch hospitality! ☺️

We have stayed here before and it didn't disappoint this time either! The location is perfect for us as we were visiting relatives. Everything about this hotel is just excellent, it's clean, it's comfy, nothing is too much trouble for the helpful friendly staff. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and warm with plenty of hanging space for clothes. It has very good sound proofing too, you very rarely hear your neighbours in the hall and never hear them in your room. A wonderful stay

Two things to put here, a second lounging chair would have been good, there were two of us and we couldn't sit comfortably to watch the TV unless we sat on the bed, and neither of us find that comfortable. We would also have liked a few drawers to put our small things in.

Our welcome - we were warmly met and checked in by Nikki. A welcome like that from an employee who understands customer service as she does sets IHG Cambourne ahead of its rivals. Exceptional. We loved the cleanliness everywhere as well as the design of this new hotel. We only stayed one night but enjoyed a hearty breakfast that provided a great array of choices. Really well laid out and attended to by the breakfast team who went out of their way to check the ingredients of some foods for us. We cannot recommend the hotel enough.

Minor gripe and it didn't spoil our time there but the we found the twin room we had a little too cramped. Like i said it didn't spoil our experience.

Staff were excellent during our stay. Jeffrey on main reception went above and beyond when we checked in. We'd had a stressful journey due to localised flooding and were running late to a wedding. He was so helpful and a resl credit to the hotel. Similarly, the restaurant staff at breakfast helped with gluten free options with nil fuss, prompt and professional service. Thank you to all

Bizarrely, the only thing I'd say could be improved was the scrambled egg at breakfast. Sounds petty and really didn't dent our enjoyable stay.

We've used the hotel many times for stays, working in the restaurant and car charging and it never fails to satisfy. The staff are so good, and as we often bring a dog it's great that they are really, genuinely animal friendly. Food and drink is good, the free breakfast is a bonus, for a stay the rooms are well designed and comfortable.

A general point about IHG is that if you look them up on the website for a phone number for the local hotel, you get a central booking number in the US. Which charges more for the rooms. The hotel itself is almost ideal

The Holiday Inn Express Cambridge West - Cambourne is a really good hotel. The rooms are extremely comfortable, quiet, clean and well equipped. The staff are cheerful, competent and helpful. (One staff member very kindly offered to do my shirt cuff buttons up as I struggled to do this myself waiting for the lift in the morning!) We arrived after a long, slow six hour drive at about 8pm and entering the hotel we felt we had made a good decision by choosing to overnight there. Parking is conveniently close to the hotel and the reception area was warm and spacious. The receptionist welcomed us and provided us with room details/ keys etc efficiently. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with an excellent choice of cereals, fruit, cooked food and a range of croissants/bread together with jams and an excellent selection of hot and cold drinks. If you enjoy breakfasts make sure you leave time to enjoy the breakfast on offer at this hotel. The whole stay was absolutely first class.

A tiny point but the wooden chairs in the dining room made a row when being moved over the wooden floor. Easy to fix with felt pads stuck to the chair legs.

Oh, it was so clean, clearly new or refurnished, no scuff marks, especially in communal areas, bed was comfortable, little or no noise….loved the feel, great.

Low or poor lighting on bath / shower room, with a big sink between mirror and user, a little difficult to see to have a good ‘wet’ shave. Wall socket low or almost on floor adjacent to large mirror in lounge area, which made it almost impossible to use hairdryer, as dryer lead not long enough to run from floor socket to allow user to stand to dry hair or sit in only ‘swivel’ chair in room.

Took the opportunity to have a full English cooked breakfast. The food was well presented and regularly replenished. The dining area was comfortable, spacious and very clean. The coffee was good too. The reception and bar staff were particularly friendly and helpful. I could not fault them. A very pleasant atmosphere.

The quality of the accommodation exceeded our expectations. One potential area for improvement, perhaps, the evening food menu offered limited choice. Furthermore, portion sizes were not generous. Just a little more Singapore noodles on my plate, please!
