No breakfast, parking too expensive, No plug for the hairdrier in the bathroom. If you plug in at the mirror, the plug socket is on the floor, the wire of the hairdrier ist only 50cm long, so If you want to blow dry your hair, you have to sit on the floor. This ist completly stupid, who planed this?

The Hyatt Centric in Cambridge is a spunky, accommodating and comfortable hotel to stay in. Due to the weather, I wasn't able to check out the rooftop bar, but the restaurant 'The Astronomer' had a great ambiance and very kind staff. My room was charming and classy, with a very comfortable bed.

The location of the hotel is quite a way out of Cambridge's center and train station: half an hour with the bus for the center, 45 minutes to the train station. Keep this in mind while booking; however, there is the possibility of renting bikes at Hyatt, and the bus stops right in front of the hotel.

This hotel is like new, all of the facilities are new and clean. Hotel room is big and with big window. And Hotel garden is very beautiful. Good location, 10 minutes walking distance to Madingley Park and Rude (Bus PR1 directly drive from Madingley Park and Ride to city centre, total 15 minutes, easy to reach and go). 2 minutes walking distance to Sainbury’s supermarket, very convenient. You can also take U1 and U2 (University shutter bus, student £1, others £2.5) from hotel front go to city centre. Around hotel is a new and modern community, safe and quiet. It is a great hotel to try if you want to visit Cambridge, good value for money.

If the breakfast could be more options or more food, more dessert, it will be much more greater.

the room was lovely, spacious and a great bathroom/shower. in room iron and full-size ironing board very useful. good quality Bluetooth speaker. free bike rentals (£100 deposit only) was so useful as the hotel is a little too far outside town to walk. the bus is on the doorstep. Allowed a late check-out for free. I did not use the gym or restaurants, but the decor looked very nice.

Some stains (? bleach) on the carpet. there is a kettle with instant coffee, rather than more usual espresso machine. I was overcharged at check in but his was corrected quickly once I notified them.

We had a lovely surprise when we found out the bars and restaurants that were at the hotel as we had no idea! Staff were lovely and the room was beautiful and a really good size. We always worry about what the beds are going to be like and this bed was nothing to worry about. Very comfortable and we had a great few nights sleep!

The room wasn't as clean as I thought it would be. There were stains and burn marks on the carpet and the bathroom had a lot of scum/limescale marks. The storage in the room isn't great as there's only one one very deep massive drawer and the fridge wasn't very cold.

Spacious room, good bar and fine food. Everywhere very clean. Lifts worked!

Not briefed on arrival about how to use the lift, which requires the room card to be waved in front of a reader before it will move. The car parking was complicated as the one car park served both Hyatt Centric and the adjacent aparthotel. The additional cost for parking was a bit irritating, especially as the out of town location means (I imagine) that most people arrive by car, and will expect this cost to be included as part of the overall accommodation package.

The location of the hotel in Eddington is ideal for visiting Cambridge. Lovely room, the decor ( Cambridge blue) felt new and fresh. Comfy beds with choice of pillows. Bathroom has an excellent shower, toiletries were good La ge TV ( we visited during Euro 24 so enjoyed watching one of the matches). Bottled water in mini bar was much appreciated. Room service is also available Very nice restaurant, we had dinner there which was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed Staff at hotel and restaurant were very pleasant and welcoming. Very nice lobby with coffee shop and breakfast items.

Slight noise when air con was switched off. A little expensive overall, we might look for a special offer in the future

The choice of breakfast available was very good although we did not take advantage of it this time. The female staff were excellent and helpful in explaining how everything works.

Locating the hotel was very difficult. Although it came up clearly on Google maps, we drove as far as the bollards which prevented us from seeing the hotel. We drove around the streets at the back of the hotel, and still couldn't locate it so went back to park at the Park and Ride nearby and walked to the hotel. I currently have a mobility problem and had requested hotel parking if possible so this wasn't ideal and needless to say we arrived a little frazzled. I do wish there had been something like a "HOTEL" sign sticking out of the hotel to identify it. In fact signage for the hotel was sadly lacking. Looking flat on to the hotel is fine, but not when one is walking towards it. The receptionist was pleasant but it took me rather a long time to relax and enjoy my stay.

Everything, it was amazing. This is a hotel that has really thought about guests’ needs …from lighting in bathroom which comes on low when you open the door (handy at night) to niche reading lights for bedtime reading. Parking £15 per night was fantastic as we were able to hop on a bus outside the hotel which was £2 single to city centre which took about 20/25 mins. Parking in city centre is very expensive i.e. Grand Arcade daily rate £24. The staff are just brilliant- every member of staff we encountered over the weekend were so helpful and super friendly. We’ll definitely stay here again - hopefully room rates won’t increase after this review 😂 Thank you for a wonderful stay Hyatt Centric Cambridge 10/10!
