The floating hotel room were brilliant. It felt spacious and quiet. We felt like we were by ourselves on the marina. Everything was clean and exactly how you’d expect from a good quality hotel. Loved the skylight - as it’s so dark on the marina, we were able to stargaze in bed! The breakfast inside the restaurant was also lovely both days. They were happy to make my partner a sausage sandwich, even though it wasn’t on the menu.

The water pressure wasn’t great, but that was to be expected in a place like this. It did the job and we we definitely refreshed by the showers!

The concept of staying on a marina is great and the pods are a good size with a deck to sit on watch the happenings in the marina area. The staff were great and responded well when we advised that the alarm on the pump that operates the toilet had been going all night, they replaced the coffee machine when it wouldn’t work. Housekeeping when it turned up. All that said I would stay again if we are in Cardiff.

On day one we returned late in the afternoon to find no housekeeping had been done after we had been told earlier that morning that they we on there way to our pod. The service in the restaurant was slow, you shouldn’t really have to ask 3 times for water to be bought to the table.

The room was stunning very modern and very clean. Fantastic set up and plenty of space. The bed was amazing and like sleeping on a cloud. Shower and bathroom spot on also very clean. Fridge provided, coffee, tea & hot chocolate available. Radio in the room and a tv with free Wi-Fi. The room had a fan thank god!! Heatwave weather!! Stunning view from our room. The Deck restaurant is beautiful inside and had a holiday vibe to it.

The only thing that was poor was the staff in the restaurant. It was very quiet at the time and service wasn’t the best. Took 25 mins for our drinks to be brought to the table after being ordered. The food was really nice but for the price the portion size was very small.

What a find, and so glad we did! We loved staying here, and will definitely be staying again when in the Cardiff area. The rooms are floating pods with private balconies, good size bathroom with shower, and super comfy bed. There is a sky light above the bed, where you can open the blind and lay in bed and watch the stars! Magic. The room had good facilities, and the pod was very secure with it's own separate door. Access to the marina is through a key fob given to you at check-in. Very quiet location. Free parking in the adjoining restaurant car park. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended and we will return!

We had to leave :(

These rooms are fantastic! The bed is the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in.Very clean and modern, dressing gowns and slippers nice little touch.Check in was quick.Booked for Sunday dinner which was lovely, definitely recommend. Special mention to Lily who looked after us from the time we arrived until we left, even working longer so she could finish serving us our dinner!

Nothing we didn’t like just a few things that could be added maybe…. A mat by the door for when it’s wet as walking straight on to carpet. A welcome pack advising how to use coffee machine etc. Maybe places to visit near by. Maybe guests staying here should be advised before arriving if there is a part of the restaurant that they won’t be able to use due to private advents.

Beautiful property. Very clean. Staff were helpful. Comfy bed and great tv. Lovely balcony area. Bathroom was immaculate. Appreciated the complimentary robe and slippers.

Some teething problems. As they are new, it wasn’t a big shock and didn’t ruin the trip. It was unfortunate that the electric blind above the bed was not charged, so we had to go for a walk to allow them to charge it enough to close it. Shame as it would have been nice to stargaze. It wasn’t charged enough to reopen. The shower pressure wasn’t great and the turn taps were flimsy, took awhile for it to come on. It was also very hot in the night but they do provide a fan. Overall, we’d rebook and love to return.

A pretty unique place to stay, floating in a luxury pod in Penarth marina. Fittings and quality of furnishings are very good and, although a little too small with a desk that barely fits a laptop, it was a very pleasant experience, felt very safe and was incredibly peaceful.

TV didn’t work, WiFi didn’t work, shower doesn’t drain and I had to close bathroom door as could smell drains. Overall though, for all the positives, this room was seriously over/priced. When I stayed there were no events on in Cardiff and yet this cost more than a King room at the Hilton, Mercure, Holiday Inn, etc. When you leave your accom pads toon feeling duped, it leaves a bad taste…

We had a wonderful stay in our floating pod. It was really modern and comfortable with a large TV and huge comfy bed. Jo and the staff were all really friendly. We enjoyed a delicious and reasonable breakfast with a view of the harbour. We also had an evening meal which was excellent. The mussels were fantastic and the cookie dough dessert was amazing!

We really loved everything but a kettle would have been nice as we are both tea drinkers and a small table on the deck would be useful too.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming. The floating pod is beautifu, modern, cleanl and has everything you would need for a 1 or 2 night stopover.

My only grumble was that we happened to be there on the hottest day of the year and there's an electric fan which didn't really do much to cool the room down so it was uncomfortable to sleep in with the heat. I think air conditioning would be a better choice although I know we don't get many hot days in the UK. Other than that the place is stunning!

WOW - just wow!! What a beautiful place! The restaurant food, music and staff are amazing especially Jo the manager who was so kind and helpful. The room - well we were blown away! Complete luxury in every single way! Nothing better than staying on the actual marina. The facilities were to such a high standard too! Bed super comfortable…we cannot fault anything and will be back!
