I have stayed at Sleeperz several times when visiting family around Cardiff, the central location right by the train station is extremely convenient and the hotel is absolutely excellent value especially in the winter months. Rooms are simple, very clean and well maintained and the hotel has a nice lobby and breakfast room. On this visit the staff were particualarly helpful and friendly offering extra help and services whilst being very respectful of guests privacy. I will definitely stay again next time I'm in Cardiff.

Nothing, this is a great example of a modern budget hotel.

Colleagues working at the reception are extremely friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The housekeeping team are super friendly, we needed more towels and were given some right away . The room was very clean with everything you needed . The bed was comfortable with extra pillows if needed in the room . Breakfast was very nicely presented and tasty for the price , there were options for a cooked or cold breakfast just helped yourself to what you liked . We were in an accessible room and it was the perfect size for what we needed .

Accessible access from the lower ground floor was very tight . But there is one on the ground floor that is super easy to get in and out so it was a problem.

The location was right next to the train station and about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable.

The room was really small. Reminded me of hotel rooms in Scandinavian countries. The entrance to my room was a bit weird - I was in room 309 and the room was just a normal push door, into a porch type area with key card access to my room and a cleaner cupboard? Just a bit confusing when I arrived. The room was largely clean, although there were dried clumps of something on the TV screen and wall (it looked like a previous guest had thrown a pizza and the tomato/cheese sauce had gone everywhere)

The bedroom wasn't the largest but it was okay. The bed was fairly comfortable, the pillows lovely and soft (two each). The bathroom was a bit on the small side but there was plenty of hot water. An extra shelf or a rail for the towels would have been useful but there wasn't really room. It was a great location a couple of minutes from Central Station and the Bus Interchange and not too far from the shops. It was quite quiet considering the proximity to the train track.

I didn't like the sliding translucent door with the inch gap either side (and I never put the light on in the bathroom!). The stiff sliding curtain/blind didn't shut fully so let light in at night, the lamp outside the window didn't help!

Really handy to Cardiff City centre and train station so no concerns about having to book a taxi back at end of the night from being out in the town! We were able to check in early as the room was ready. Very friendly efficient staff, decent buffet breakfast for the price. Clean room with good amenities. Nice lounge area to sit and have a coffee or nightcap!

A 12 o clock checkout ( instead of 11) would be good as a lot of hotels offer this . It was nice having an additional door before our room off the corridor, although we then realized it was probably to access a house keeping store so there was a bit of additional noise in the morning, I take it when equipment was being accessed.

Location and cleanliness of the hotel is fantastic. I was given a room with the bathroom fan running constantly loud and didn't go off . I reported this to reception saying i would not be able to sleep in the noise. Michelle from reception told me she would give me ear plugs ! ! ! What sort of customer service is that. ? I requested another room in the hotel so i could get sleep . We went back downstairs and was given another room which was peaceful and i had two good nights sleep. Breakfast is excellent . Thank you and i will return.

Bathroom fan running none stop

Great location next to train station and anywhere you might want to see in the city center. Staff is friendly, rooms are compact and tidy, tea provided in room (with milk sachets, which I hadn’t seen before, as a yank). The only complaint for me was that my TV had pretty bad reception, and only clearly got one or two channels, but I didn’t ask to resolve this because it wasn’t important to me. I also couldn’t get my safe open, but that 100% could be my user error. Just check those things when you get to your room if those are important to you. I didn’t have any valuables or much cash as in Cardiff you can pay with your phone literally everywhere (again, as a yank I was surprised, never once did I use my physical card or need cash). You can get a simple cocktail or a coffee from the small lobby when it is staffed. All in all a good value and would definitely recommend.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and great to chat with. The room was a great size for myself and two teenagers. Lovely and clean, wonderful rainfall shower and handy having conventional shower hand held also. Fresh towels daily, clean comfortable bed. Right next to the central station and you'd never know. Quiet relaxing environment. Perfect quick easy Location. Checked in early too as room was available, drop your suitcases off and go and explore the wonderful city of Cardiff.

A slight incident with an inexperienced member of staff in the bar area. She was very polite, friendly and apologetic but I was verbally abused by another guest who felt I was in the wrong for the staff inexperience in cocktail making so I was served first for a simple order. Not the fault of the staff member or myself but seemed to have a lack in training for the responsibility of running a busy bar.

I travel to Cardiff for work a lot and am unable to claim hotel allowance due to the proximity of my home address to the office. I have been staying in this particular hotel when im in Cardiff for 2 years now and I've always had amazing service and a really enjoyable stay. It's in the perfect location for me (next to the train station) for any onward journey. The staff are always helpful and I was upgraded on my last visit which was a pleasant surprise. I can't rate this hotel enough and am looking forward to my next stay. Thank you

There isn't anything in particular that I don't like. If I was forced to think of a negative it's that there isn't parking and that is a stretch as more often than not I travel by train yo Cardiff.

We loved the central location to everything. Right beside the train station and short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants along with the stadium while we were there for a concert. Quick effortless check in and out with pleasant staff at all times during our stay. Although the hotel was fully booked at time of stay we were very surprised at how quiet it was no banging and slamming of doors which have experienced in far superior accommodation. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tea and coffee was able to be in the room by kettle and products provided which was nice touch.

The room was abit tired and could do with a freshen up of paint.
