The access codes to the main door and key safe for the room were easy to use and the email that explained everything was clearly written. The room was very clean and the bed linen smelt lovely and fresh and the bed was also very comfortable. There was plenty of tea, coffee and milk. The restaurant area looked appealing, even though I didn't have a meal. The bar staff were friendly and the seating area was clean and comfortable.

The shower wasn't very powerful, but that could have been down to me not being able to control it correctly. I don't know if there should have been a hairdryer in the room, but there wasn't and I had forgotten to take mine. Luckily my hair dried quickly.

Location, location, location! Nicely decorated, nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Plenty of tea and coffee. When I booked I couldn't see what the breakfast consisted off, probably a glitch on my tablet. If I had been able to I would had ordered it and probably the evening meals as well. The staff in the morning and evening were super friendly. Overall an excellent stay and would quite happily stay again.

My double room needed a bit of sprucing up. White paint showing through scratches on the dark paint on the wall behind the headboard, lack of accessible sockets for the kettle, some mould on the bathroom grouting, an obvious damp patch starting by the shower end of the bath. Maybe install plug sockets with usb outlets for those who forget chargers? The TV was too small to bother watching as I had left my binoculars in the car. It sounds a lot, but they are minor faults. 😁

It was a pleasant hotel. Key system was straightforward, beds comfortable and shower simple but good. Staff absolutely lovely, evening meal and breakfast were both good. We were walking the Cotswolds Way and this is only a mile away from the end of the route.

Unfortunately the hotel is not effectively soundproofed and we were unlucky enough to have nearby extremely selfish people who decided to loudly laugh and socialise until 4 a.m. in the morning! This was reported to the staff and then the owner the following morning. The owner called me and promised to talk to the people involved. Thankfully the following evening was very peaceful and we got a very much needed good night's sleep.

Excellent breakfast: good selection of hot dishes, freshly-cooked, tasty and well-presented; very good value. Attractive contemporary decor & bathroom fittings. Clean. Good value for the area. Free on-site parking. Good free Wi-Fi. The one staff member encountered (at breakfast) was very pleasant and friendly. Convenient location on A40.

Contactless (no reception), which keeps cost down, but could do with clearer explanation re how to open room doors (code is to extract key from box, not directly to open door); another guest had to show me. No bar open after 9.30pm (and no mini-bar). Room nicely furnished, but mattress was not great. Shower looked good, but water pressure seemed low. No aircon or fan in room. Only one hairdryer per corridor, if you needed one.

The local is on the outskirts of Cheltenham which was perfect for me as I was travelling to Tewkesbury the next day. On arrival the instructions were clear about the entry codes to both the property and accommodation. One of the staff members was there to assist. The room was clean and tidy. No iron in the room but call the emergency telephone number and they told me where it was. The staff at the bar/restaurant were lovely and couldn't help enough. I had dinner and a couple of drinks before heading to my room. As it was very hot day I managed to catch one of the team and asked for a fan as my stiflingly and as I was on the ground floor felt uncomfortable leaving the window open. The property has outside space to eat and drink.

I would say the hotel isn't boutique, just a jumble of furniture from different eras. The pillows were way too soft and needed three and room to hot, so I didn't sleep very well. Also, the room door was poor quality, so I could hear other guests walking past and staff going into their laundry room. I found it strange there was no staff after they clocked off. All rooms should have a fan, especially during the summer months.I had the beef stroganoff for dinner but found the beef to chewy and not spicy enough and did raise this with the staff.

Very nice room, well furnished clean. Parking good. Clear instructions provided prior to day of arrival. Lovely full English breakfast at an additional charge.

Having no staff in attendance for check in. Sorry, I just don't get it and never will. The room allocated was very nice but 2 issues. Firstly, this was a ground floor room with a large window with no means of restricting the opening in a secure manner. This should NEVER be the case for a ground floor room. Almost an invitation for theft if you leave it open which your insurers would laugh at a claim for them even though it is a rural location. Secondly, I was awoken just around 06:30 because the hotel plumbing system is one of those from hell and the sound of water running through pies was very loud. That noise continued for over an hour. This needs improvement.

The hotel and attached restaurant are really nice Looks like it has recently been updated. The food in the restaurant was really good and very well priced. Our double room was a decent size and the bathroom had a great bath with shower over. It had nice furniture and it was a bonus to have two comfy chairs to read in. It was quite inside our room and we did not notice an other Guests around us. The parking was good The gardens look nice and I think it will be lovely in the summer The dawn chorus was a nice wake up.

Not having a reception meant that we were not able to change our room which was 15 in the top of the house. We are both quite old and I have RA, I generally walk with a stick so find stairs a challenge. The road noise and lights may be a problem to some.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Although the location is a bit far from the city center and situated at the edge of town, it doesn't matter much. The room, toilet, and good Wi-Fi connection were all amazing. This hotel is contactless, which makes things easy. There is a bus service from the city center (801 Pullhams & S2 Stagecoaches), so the distance is manageable. This location is ideal for budget-friendly travelers like me who want to explore the Cotswolds area. The Pullhams 801 offers a day pass for around 7.5 to 8 pounds, allowing you to travel to several beautiful Cotswolds villages, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Lower Slaughter, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, and Stratford-upon-Avon. Therefore, staying at this hotel and taking advantage of this bus pass can make your trip unforgettable. It's truly worth it.

Contactless check-in is very easy. Room surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was mostly clean. Conveniently located 2 miles from Cheltenham. Very good value at £110 for two nights at the weekend. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of storage space. Toiletries provided. Clean towels.

Lots of noise from other rooms - doors slamming, loud music. Given that you see no staff at all it would have been good to get a text making sure everything was okay. We would have booked breakfast but you have to pre-book the night before and there are no staff to pre-book with! TV is tiny and no programme guide.

We enjoyed our stay here the room was spacious and had three single beds . The restaurant was very attractive and served delicious reasonably priced meals. The breakfast was also tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately although the room was spacious it had very low ceilings. The bathroom plumbing also needed attention, although the shower was powerful and hot, the ceiling in this room was also very low so mind your head. There is a steep spiral staircase to the family room. The wine was also expensive it would have been nice if there was a reasonably priced house wine. There was an offer on beer though.
