The room was nice and clean and comfortable. We was checked in by a member of staff called Euan who was very polite and helpful. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and Euan was our waiter he was very apologetic because we had to wait quite a while for our meal due to problems with the staff but he pre warned us about this before we ordered. He was very professional and helpful.

The whole vibe of the Inn was amazing so cosy. The room was clean and styled. We had amazing food both evenings and in the morning the breakfast was delicious! The staff were lovely and welcoming and we had some great music each night. A great place to be caught out by the storm. Loved the design and feel of the pub downstairs and can (and did) spend hours with some drinks and good food chatting away.
The only tiny bits was the bed was a little hard maybe could have used a thicker pillow and the door to the room slammed with the breeze when shut a bit, however we just stuck a piece of card in it and actually slept well. Everything else was perfect.

What a little Gem of a place. We were visiting Beamish with family from Kent and needed somewhere close and we were Not disappointed. Bus stop outside both sides of the road into Le Street then change for Beamish. Rooms clean and tidy with everything we needed. Breakfast was included and what a surprise it was cooked to order so No faults there, evening meals in the bar was More Bistro style than general pub grub so we loved that too. Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and on hand for anything needed. Big shout out to Olivia, Bryony and Sam you kept everything ticking over despite the rush on Tuesday. Would Not only recommend this place but are already planning on returning ourselves.

Full English breakfast with a choice of cereal, fruit, and juice was perfect, rating a solid 10/10. The evening meal, priced at around £15, was decent. Room cleanliness was impeccable, earning a 10/10, with an excellent bed also scoring 10/10. The bathroom was spotless, rated 10/10, and there was a generous supply of tea, coffee, and biscuits, all rated 10/10. Our initial stay was for three nights but, we extended by one night to watch the semi finals of the football, plus, to enjoy the fabulous breakfast in the morning. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful, (Sam and Calum) always finding time to engage with guests despite their busy schedules.
In the bar/eating area, we were disappointed by the choice of music. While trying to listen to the news during our evening meal, the heavy metal music overwhelmed the TV. I asked a couple of other customers about the music, one said it wasn't their choice that goes with our meal. The loud music eventually gave me a headache, so we skipped dessert and went to our room. The car park can be a bit congested and difficult to maneuver, but there are CCTV cameras for extra security. The menus could use an update, as they were well-worn and sticky. Our overall score is 7/10, with 3 points lost for the issues mentioned.

The bed was comfy. Room and bathroom were clean. We had dinner both nights of our stay. The first night we had to wait rather a long time as they were very busy, (Thursday Quiz night) but the food was excellent both nights. Loved the drawings in the dining room depicting the story of the Worm. Enjoyed the quiz. Convenient for Beamish. Easy to find from A1
There was nowhere in the bedroom suitable for using the kettle and making cups of tea. There were no plugs near the dressing table to do it there. We had to boil the kettle on the very small bedside table (or use the upturned waste bin near a plug) as the kettle flex was too short to reach the floor. Had to make tea/coffee on the floor by the bedside table or carry a boiling kettle across the room to make tea on the dressing table. I feel this is a H&S issue. . There is room for a table between the bathroom wall and the bed, near the plugs so why not provide one? There were only 3 hangers in the wardrobe (and one of these was broken) so take some of your own if you're staying any length of time.

Lovely place and very handy near the C2C route. Placed our 4 bikes in a safe place. Food was delicious, evening meal plus breakfast. Staff were very attentive and helpful. There was a little mix up regarding payment, stating that I hadn't paid. I'd paid via Booking.com that morning. I showed proof of a email confirmation and proof it had gone out of my bank. However after 20mins we were eventually sorted, and resulted in that I had actually paid. The staff were very apologetic and gave us a free drink for the inconvenience.
The loud sound of slamming doors quite late. And lot's of them.

Easy to find, good location and easy parking. The evening meals were good value and the menu varied. Our room had been recently decorated and was very clean, although they might regret using plain carpets, there were already some coffee stains.
You couldn't move in the bedroom without loud creaking floor boards, if they had spent a few minutes screwing down the creaky boards, before laying the carpets, then all would be quiet. Even though you were eating there, you couldn't run a tab! Inconvenient having to get your wallet out halfway through a meal. Breakfast cereals were a bit sparse.

We had a great night’s stay here. We ate lunch and tea and the free breakfast the next morning and all meals were great. We enjoyed the live music 7-9pm whilst having a few drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The decor was nice and modern. We really liked it here.
We were in a bit of a rush the morning we left and unfortunately the shower didn’t work. We ended up having a bath instead which was a bit inconvenient but not the end of the world! We both kept bumping our legs on the bed frame so beware!

We chose the Lambton Worm for a 5 night stay because it is perfectly located for exploring Newcastle, Durham and the North-east coast. It offered excellent value for money. The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful ( the lovely lady who looked after us at breakfast deserves a special mention).
The bedrooms are described as boutique, which they are not. Ours was in need of some renovation and the servicing was a little lacking.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. We ate evening meal in the restaurant for our 2 night stay. Choice, portion size, quality of food all outstanding. Servers very friendly. Room warm and clean . Stairway up to rooms shabby and could do with a make over. Bathroom on the small side (columbus room).
Too noisy for us. Could hear noise from downstairs until about 2am in morning so we didnt feel rested when we got up.
