All the staff were friendly. The room was spacious and value for money and served our purpose for one nights stay to attend an engagement party at the hotel. The breakfast was excellent quality and definitely value for money.

Very creaky floor, pillows were not very good quality and were lumpy. The decor is tired and furniture is poor quality with raw trims. No mirror above the dressing table, although one was located next to the door over the luggage stand, however there was no plug next to it for drying and styling hair. The window had a blind, however, there had obviously been curtains hanging due to the curtain track still being above the window, this made the room feel bare.

Great location across the road from the angel of the north. Very well presented building and grounds. Ample free parking. Staff were lovely. very clean building and room. bath in room. reasonable price. regular amenities in room that you'd expect from a 3-star hotel (kettle, hairdryer, tv etc). Beds were very comfortable. peaceful. restaurant on site doing good food. Genuinely one of the best hotels we've stayed in!

It would be better for the restaurant to operate until about 6.30 at least as they currently only do food until 5, which is a bit early for most people.

Location was amazing, however I arrived in the Dark and left in the Dark so did not see much of the angel, Room was fantastic and is was comfortable, Food I have to say was amazing, I read the reviews and it DID meet the level that was suggested,

I asked for a quiet room, when I got there I could hear a humming so I reported it, Staff member suggested it was an extractor fan in adjacent room, I left it while I ate, When I reported it was still their, it took 3 attempts to get staff to enter the room, only to find the Transformer in the Bathroom light needed to be disconnected from the mains,, I was made to feel as though I was making it up, until they came in and heard it for themselves, Belittled and Annoyed as I had a really early start next day,, and it was 2200 ish by the time this happened, so little sleep and felt humiliated, by the staff member.

Room was a good size and lovely and clean. Bar area is nice and food was good value. The weather was awful when we visited but I could see that there was a good sized beer garden for summer and a lovely courtyard to sit out in too.

There was lots of noisy Xmas parties when we visited - music was turned off about 12ish but then they're was some further noise as people came to bed. It wouldn't put me off visiting again but would probably avoid Xmas time if bringing kids.

We'll we had booked at another hotel on your site in Whitly bay Windsor hotel not fit for purpose and just incase your company isn't aware this hotelnis used for Homeless/persons with drug issues maybe your company might take so notes from this situation

Bedroom carpet was disgusting tv didn't work at certain times music getting played all night and receptionist was shocking yes I did complain about the room nothing was done she smiled and said she would report this matter

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the overall facilities - shower gel, shampoo, soap, hot drink making facilities. I also found that there was a towel 'bow' on the bed which added to the surprise. The room was in a quite corner of the hotel. I didn't have any meals there, so I'm unable to comment on the food. Only downside was that the fire alarm went off at about 5 am, which meant a disturbed sleep. Staff were friendly and very polite and helpful when I asked questions about future stays.

The fire alarm going off at 5 am!! But that could happen anywhere (and has done). The bed was a little soft for my liking, but I slept very well both nights. I asked about accessible rooms and twin rooms but unfortunately the twin rooms are on the 1st floor (not suitable for the person I would usually travel with) and there is no lift - but it is a listed building converted from an old barn

Very well situated with east access to main routes. Plenty of parking spaces.

The decor is looking very tired and obvious that someone had been painting walls in reception whilst people were visiting the hotel for funeral wakes. The smell of paint was very prominent! Also, need more staff on at breakfast time and not have one waitress expected to see to breakfasts and also reception! Might be an idea to have key box so guests can drop keys in instead of have to hand around waiting for someone to come to reception!

The location and view was amazing, friendly staff although I can tell some had a long day as they looked tired but still showed great customer service regardless. Room was decently sized and was overall clean. Restaurant was lovely! The room looked like it had recently been decorated and it was very pleasant. The bathroom looked a bit outdated however, I think that fits well with the building.

The mattress was too soft for me and my partner but that didn’t stop us from sleeping okay. The bathroom ceiling has paint peeling off. The smell of the overall room was musty but can be sorted by an air freshener. There are a lot of potholes on the road/car park but nothing that could break a car wheel etc

Beautiful place to stay, right across from the angel of the north. Really lovely staff (despite them being quite busy and short staffed, they were all lovely and helpful). Convenient to get to and from, with a bus stop right outside. Lots of green space around. Nice and quiet. Great food in restaurant downstairs.

No elevator, but honestly it was fine without one, we were just tired and have heavy bags!

We liked the area, outside seating facilities were a bonus. The food was very good staff friendly, nice bar.

The stairs to our room, i have mobility issues but told our room was only one available at the time we managed but it was a struggle. The noise very late at night disturbed us and our quality of sleep. It won't deter us from staying again just hopefully in a more accessible room.
