Fantastic rooms, beautiful decor, and very clean and spacious. Fantastic helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic location. Will be staying again in August.

Absolutely nothing.

The room exceeded our expectations - good size, spotless, looked recently renovated, bright and well furnished. Also nice little extras - tea, coffee, biscuits, mints, etc. Location is great if arriving by train - 4 minute walk from station, on southern edge of city centre, so not far to Cathedral and other attractions. A bit far if main purpose is visit to Festival Theatre. Value excellent considering it includes cooked and continental breakfast.

We booked to check in Mon, out Thurs because we read the warning of late-night music (till 3 am some nights) from Thurs to Sat. But we didn't know about Karaoke Monday which went on till midnight and is right below the rooms. So avoid Mondays as well if you're a light sleeper and want to sleep before midnight. Not sure if this would apply to our room, but certainly did to ours.

A great location with car parking. Nice clean room with a comfy bed and smelt very fresh and florally and we had fresh towels daily. Tea and coffee making facilities provided and also two bottles of water. Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent with the cooked hot breakfast cooked to order. There was also a small cold buffet provided with a choice of fruit juices ,fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants and cereals but sadly no Corn Flakes. Plenty of Tea and Coffee. Staff were very polite and helpful..

Very steep stairs leading up to the rooms. Very noisy on Thursday night but this was stated in the description before we booked and we did not let it spoil our stay.

Friendly staff, big room, very clean, great location and the breakfast was lovely.

The smoke haze as we walked in. We can't stand cigarette smoke- unfortunately 4 people were smoking inside. They were sitting at a table near the entrance to the upstairs rooms. Apart from them, there were about another 8 on the sidewalk all smoking- who were all near the main entry. This smelt terrible, and to sit and have a drink, we sat right at the back of the pub to get away from the smell. I imagine this keeps families and non smokers away from coming here for a meal.

The location of the hotel suited well for our purpose, we were attending international rugby min series and it is within 10mins walking distance to the pitches. It is itself a pub and restaurant, surrounded by many other pubs and restaurants. Our room was neat, good size with all standard facilities. The breakfast is good, a limited choice but enough for everyone's liking, we enjoyed it. Overall it is a pleasant stay for us.

This was not a negative as this issue of music have been mentioned during the booking so we have no complaints. Just mentioning this as it may help others, the pub has a license to run live music on weekends, to be fair they provided ear plugs but a bit of noise can be heard.

The staff where amazing throughout our stay, personable, informative and lovely. The decor downstairs was so cool, had some really good vibes. You'll have a better stay if you aren't a light sleeper. The room was spotless with a fan, hot chocolate sachets and ear plugs.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the building, the room was really hot but we couldn't open the windows because of how LOUD outside was. We were warned about the noise late into the night. As it was just for the one night it wasn't too bad. But if you're staying for longer, you might suffer.

Very central to Chichester, good parking. Breakfast was adequate. I declined a cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, well equipped and large.

Walking through rowdy bar for access but it WAS a bank holiday. Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. Need some surface space please. The spy hole in the door! Put in by a 6ft man. No way I could look through it without standing on a chair! Thin curtains did not occlude the light Could faintly hear couple next door ! Didn’t last long !!

The rooms are very comfortable. The bar has a late licence until 3am on saturdays, so it would be noisy if you wanted an early night. We stayed up till closing time, so it didn't matter! Breakfast was ok. Coffee and quality of the ingredients could have been better, but it was ok. Staff were all delightful. Overall, yes, I'd stay again.

The coffee could have been better, so could the eggs, sausage and bacon. They didn't have that 'quality' or free-range' feel to them.

Breakfast was good and the room was clean and was tidied by staff on both days of my stay.

The fact that my room was much smaller than my friends room next door even though we paid the same price. I wasn’t impressed with that. Also the soap holder above the sink is in the way when you want to wash your face and there wasn’t anywhere to put your toiletries… my door key also kept not working so it was a pain having to keep going to reception to ask for it to be reactivated….

I stayed here for the first time Thursday we usually go to corporate hotels. Sam greeted us with a smile and such excellent customer service, above and beyond. I had a dilemma with visiting my very poorly mum at hospital and when i booked out next morning Sam couldnt have been kinder, sending me off with a hot chocolate and bits and bobs to eat. I couldn't book in the 2nd night as fully booked but have booked in again tonight. In Sam absence later I had a query and the lovely lad behing the bar was so kind too. I will always choose the vestry as my first choice in the future. Thanks
