Bridget (I think) was great, hostess with the mostess. Warm, welcoming, and great atmosphere. We went to several pubs and found the King's Arms to be the most friendly and welcoming. Prices were great, and locals welcoming too.
In terms of poor points, there aren't many. For example we found the bed too 'bouncy' and both fell out at least once, with several near misses, all taken lightly. The door to room 11, 12, 13 etc. Could really do with replacing. Whilst it lacks, it's very old and easily accessible by someone. Whilst rooms were clean, and especially the bathroom the high beams really could do with a clean. Thick with dust, whilst it didn't affect the stay it was noticeable.

The staff are friendly and helpful, stopping to chat and give advice on the area. The location is great, with a 20 minute drive to the Wildlife Park, Blenheim Palace and The Motoring Museum. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, along with being able to shop for everyday items, so you won't need to worry if you forget anything. The pub itself is great, with nicely presented rooms that are regularly cleaned and fresh towels provided throughout the stay. Well priced place and welcoming, with a good selection of drinks to try.

We were greeted warmly by the check in person. The room was clean and cozy, we had a great nights sleep! Don't miss going for breakfast at the Old mill cafe opposite, it was amazing! Also the Indian restaurant next to the pub was excellent.
We would have preferred a slightly later check out than 10am. Also, a shame no food available, bar a pizza delivery service , however we were told this on check-in. Not many parking spaces and the free long stay carparks are only for a duration of 12 hours so don't go there too early!

A real pub - cosy and welcoming ,not one of those terrible chromium places with laminated floors and meaningless decor. This pub has a heart made possible by Brigette the landlady's warm and friendly demeanour.

Brigitte was lovely, so accommodating and welcoming, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The hotel is advertised as being above a pub so we were worried about noise but it was actually an attached building and we did not hear anything at all. It looks better than the pictures. Very rustic and cute, good natural lighting and exactly what we needed for our city break. Cannot reccommend enough!
This wasn’t a negative for us but one of our rooms didn’t have a wardrobe - we were only staying one night so we didn’t mind, and the other room did!

The accommodation was well located in a good sized town in the beautiful Cotswolds. The room was well appointed, with the main bed was upstairs on a mezzanine floor (up a very tight spiral staircase); with tea & coffee facilities, along with biscuits. There is off-street parking in a very small carpark. Although the pub on the property didn't serve meals, there are numerous restaurants nearby.
The Unit had a very stubborn entry door, so very difficult to open/close the door to lock. Although the unit had 2 TVs, the remotes didn't work and we had trouble turning them on. Finally able to turn one set on, but couldn't change channel. The accommodation promoted free WiFi, but the signal wasn't strong enough to connect in our unit.

Sadly, no breakfast, but plenty of places around to get some. The room was a little worn, but clean and big enough for a family with 2 single beds and a double (very comfy)- only two of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely toiletries were provided and the towels were big and soft which is always a bonus. The room rate was very reasonable.
It’s a very old building so a bit quirky is fine. The room is on a split level so the steps down might be tricky for older clients, but not a problem otherwise. The bathroom could probably do with updating, but again it has to fit the space available. Some road noise but nothing from the bar downstairs.

Stayed here for 4 nights and honestly could not fault it. The small car park, pub not serving food are all things we were aware of before booking. Likewise reviews stating rooms maybe needed a bit of updating so we were not expecting the Ritz. What I can say is our room was perfectly adequate for our needs and most importantly clean. Fantastic friendly staff, good beer and a great welcome from the Landlady when checking in.
I think the pub is missing out by not serving any kind of food. We were lucky enough to be there on a night where pizza was being served which was absolutely delicious! Something like that or a bowl of chips would go down a treat.

Bridget met us when we arrived and was very friendly . She made sure the room was warm enough for us. The room was very large and traditionally furnished. The bed was very comfortable . The shower was adequate and we had large fluffy bath towels . The pub is situated right in the centre of Chipping Norton and very convenient for trying out the local bars and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed Whistles and Alberto's. We felt that the price of the accommodation was very good value for money.

Lovely pub hotel, landlady very friendly and helpful. Helped us with places to eat for Dinner and breakfast. Also the tea and Coffee making facilities were the best we have ever seen.
She did warn us that there was a disco underneath our room. I thought it would be just the base we would be able to hear but it was like we were in the disco ourselves. I could hear the Dj and every song. Luckily it finished at 11.15pm.
