The leisure facilities was really good. The food was amazing in the restaurant. The lodge was lovely. Friendly staff on reception. The Christmas decorations how it was all laid out, welcoming and inviting.

The bed was absolutely rock solid, so my husband and myself never slept well at all, was very uncomfortable. Think it would be more beneficial for softer mattress to put on beds. The staff in the leisure facilities was not very welcoming and friendly, and did not explain how things work in there, had to ask for a towel, whatever questions was asked just gave off impression/ vibe that they could not be bothered. Staff that was on breakfast duty Felt like they was rushing you and again things not explained how it all worked for example ( do we help ourselves) Feel I am slaying the staff and I’m not intentionally doing it as the staff on reception was amazing and ever so friendly and welcoming but as for others just feel they lacked in people skills.

The hotel was modern and comfortable, food was nice and staff were nice. The hotel is situated is a fantastic location, the town is within walking distance and is beautiful. Our hotel room was comfortable, a bit tight for space in the bathroom but nice. We would definitely stay here again but get breakfast on the go.

We were a bit surprised at the price for breakfast- £12.50 per person per night, so £75 in total. The full Welsh breakfast consisted of one of each (1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon, 1 tomato etc) which on the plate didn’t look like much at all. You had access to other ‘continental’ items like toast, a bowl of fruit salad, and yoghurt etc but we thought it was over priced. We felt we spent a lot of money on bottles of water, as we were unsure we could drink out the tap (soft/hard water etc) maybe access to a water fountain would be good? The pool/spa pass could be looked at, as we paid £12.50 to swim for half an hour, again a bit over priced. Maybe there could be a different price just the pool?

I really appreciated that there is a resturant section and a little pub/bar part of which we used both on seperate evenings. The staff are fantastic , friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and I’ve found my new favourite drink. Somersby Blackcurrent lol. We never had an issue getting a parking space either which is always a plus. The bathroom was very clean which is greatly appreciated. I didn’t make use of the little face cloth and toiletries but it’s a nice touch.

The swimming facilities closing time , would have beeen nice to use it but both occasions we were too late but that’s our fault really. The bed was a little uncomfortable but that is solely based on each individual. I think my husband struggled to sleep more than myself.

booked as a last minute Valentine’s Day get away. Stayed in a lodge around the back of the hotel which was really cosy! There’s a warning about trains going past but we didn’t see/hear one so it didn’t bother us at all. Unfortunately didn’t use the spa due to me forgetting my swimwear and there isn’t anywhere you could really get one from but this was a mistake of my own. Had tea in the restaurant and the service and food was amazing, literally could not find a fault. Same at breakfast. All of the staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay again.

Nothing - it was all spot on

Good location at edge of town. We a had a lodge with parking immediately outside. The room was warm and well-equipped. We enjoyed the pool facilities (You need to have booked room and breakfast to have this included) - a good-sized pool and lively jacuzzi. The meal we had in the evening was excellent- tasty and substantial, with some individual touches. Good breakfast. What stood out throughout was the excellent, pleasant service from everyone we encountered. We will definitely return!

The cold water ran warm for so long we contacted reception, who immediately sent up a large bottle of water and a jug of ice! Once it had run a bit more the cold was fine. The TV is small by current standards. The lodges entail a fair walk to reach the main entrance, so may not suit everyone.

We Chose this hotel due to location as on a motorcycle journey through wales and the roads & views around Betws-y-coed are amazing and the fact they have a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna and wanted to treat ourselves to some relaxing half way through our trip. We stayed in the standard double lodge which was great as we were able to park our motor bikes directly outside our room. We found the lady checking us in a little stern, we were early to check in and explained we were happy to have a drink and wait, however she did then surprise us by bringing us our keys to our lodge an hour early while we were sat having a refreshing cider outside. The lodge was clean and tidy and had a bath! The swimming pool and jacuzzi were clean and refreshing, sauna was good, unfortunately the steam room although on never got steamy, was more a wet warm room. We slept well (once the kids next door stopped banging around). We had dinner the night before, prices seemed to be a little steep but consistent with the area and the food was lovely. Breakfast was adequately enjoyable, we had the full welsh breakfast (full english) and there was fruit, yogurt, cereals and pastries. The waitress who served us both evening and breakfast was lovely and friendly so as the other waiting/bar staff. Overall it was a little pricey for us but for the area being next to Snowden it was worth the treat with the facilities available and would recommend and stay again..

Steam room was not in full working order.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Especially appreciated the large quiet fan in the room. As it was very warm, and with close proximity to the road opening the window was not a viable option. All the food we had was very enjoyable.

The bed was very hard for me, fine for my husband. I was recovering from a hip replacement, so may be a mattress topper could be available on request. Being hot I used the duvet to lie on so problem solved. A little more verity of main menu.

The Standard Lodge room was very spacious and ideal for a couple and a medium sized dog (plus his crate). The spa facilities were very good and a nice way to unwind after hiking in the area. The food and service was good and staff were friendly and particularly generous of their time to our dog especially at breakfast time. Also, the location is ideal for hiking in the area and parking is abundant.

Apart from a very noisy extractor fan (although when aren't they!?) in the bathroom no complaints. And even that isn't a complaint as such.

I took my 5yr old Grandsughter for a 2 night b& b stay in a standard lodge. It was so comfortable, cosy and clean. Breakfast was lovely with great choices. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were perfect and accessible from 7a.m. until 7p.m. We used the pool lots. I decided to book and stay an extra night while we were there. We stayed during the recent storm Isha, so our t.v. ceased working but we were upgraded to a luxury lodge for the last 2 nights. We didn't want to go home, will definitely be back in finer Weather to explore the beautiful area more. Staff were lovely too, very satisfied with our stay.

Room very clean, comfortable, warm. Tea and coffee facilities great in room. Staff in reception very friendly and efficient. Brilliant that they take dogs and the dog friendly rooms are very nice. Have stayed in other dog friendly hotels and sometimes feel they put you in the worst rooms.

Have been visiting this hotel for several years now and have seen the breakfast choice lessen on the continental side. Little bit disappointing with lack of choice on pastries and fruit. Maybe the addition of a mini fridge in the rooms would be good. Our bathroom showing signs of ageing, rust marks around taps and shower not very hot or powerful, could do with up dating. However still a great hotel and will keep coming back.
