Lovely old-style hotel for a short stay. Loads of character and atmosphere and the food in the grill was excellent. We’d been travelling through Wales for a week when we stayed here on the last night of our holiday and the restaurant food was the best we’d had.
We had a superior room which was quite small and the bathroom very small but it had everything you needed. We only had a one night stay but if we’d been basing ourselves there for longer I think we would have struggled with the small room. Our room faced the front. No real traffic noise or noise from downstairs bar/restaurant but some street light. If you’re worried about noise/light I’d ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Having said that, would definitely stay again.

Everything. A top notch hotel, a lively reception, a warm welcome from reception staff. My room was so comfortable I didn't bother to leave it for dinner, I rested with the windows open and could hear a male voice choir singing one of my favourite hymns. When they finished I could hear the bird song, I had a lovely view out of my window looking up from the car park. There was a choice of where to eat, and breakfast in the dining room was perfection on a plate, i could really tell the food was fresh and local, the bacon was so good and tasty. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I loved my stay and would stay again.
It was a bit of a potch having to go outdoors to get to the dining room and back again as I was staying in the lodge but that said I still felt safe and secure so it wasn't a real issue.

When we arrived the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were in the Stables behind the hotel. The room was clean and fresh, well set out (bathroom a little small) but did not detract from the room, Bed was very comfortable, was very warm and welcoming. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. location was perfect for our visit, lots to do and see around the area. Would highly recommend a stay here
Only a couple of little niggles, shower was hard to turn on but we got used to it and was small but we managed and did not spoil our stay

The booking-in process was dealt with with friendliness and efficiency. The man was a local and was happy to impart travel information to us for the following day. However, his instructions for entering The Lodge could have been just a little clearer as we didn't know about the card reader to enter the outer door. (One had to present the card to a black box not immediately visible since the information plaque above it had been removed. The Lodge room we were in was very comfortable and we both enjoyed a restful night's sleep. We enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast there where there was lots of choice for my Gluten-free partner. Staff in the dining area were very attentive but not overly so.
The electric fan in the bathroom seems to go on for ever!

The location of the hotel was perfect especially for exploring Snowdonia National Park and the town’s around North Wales. Betws-Y-Coed has a lovely relaxed feel and it’s a very pretty setting for a base as well. Super helpful and friendly staff in the hotel and nothing too much trouble. Exceptional breakfast and although we did not eat at the hotel as we were out most of the day there were some great items on the menu and locally sourced meat and fish. The room we had was great and although I can understand some of the comments about the item being outdated, our superior room was light airy with two large windows and a super comfortable bed. Spotlessly lean and a linen change every day. I recommend this hotel if you want a super comfy and friendly accommodation for exploring North Wales. We would certainly come here again but with a choice of room and are planning a trip for next spring
I didn’t expect to pay quite as much however I was left with limited options as the majority of accommodations were booked and as usual I’m very last minute!! I would like to see the prices for next year but would Be very tempted to book again.

My boyfriend and I were very welcome by the lady named Jennifer at the reception with a big smile and chatting for a few mins. The room was absolutely beautiful, clean, big. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. Great location for shops and hiking, too. The breakfast was very delicious and there were different options to choose from. We will definitely return back in the future.
It's very hot in the room. So we turn off the radiators. They still had winter duvet on the bed, which was very hot to sleep in, so we slept out of the bed for 2 nights. The shower water temperature was confusing to get it right after sending 5 mins to get the correct water temperature. We were in room 208, and the door was hard to close it so we had to slame it but also try not to slame it too hard in the morning while others are still sleeping. Wish it had some fruits like bananas, etc

Great location, central to everything & we got a complimentary upgrade to a lovely room with a four poster bed, which overlooked the woodlands at the front. In all honesty, the staff we encountered made the stay even better. Jenny on reception & Jordan who waited on, went above & beyond and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were genuinely the most honest/friendly people, who made you feel comfortable & your stay even more enjoyable. You get complimentary parking at the rear of the building with your stay, which is great & the room, was clean, tidy & spacious & the food was excellent.
Only downside to the room we stayed in, was it was on the corner of the building & being a Saturday night, the bar next door had a live singer on, which if you wanted to stay up was great, but when you were tired & wanted an early night (on a warm night & wanted to the windows open) it was very loud. (although he did play some good tunes). Some aspects of the hotel are dated, with creaky & sloping floors, but it all adds to the character of an old building & is definitely fun after a few drinks lol.

Amazing location in a tranquil village, lovely old building. Free parking during our stay. The room was located at the front of the building with amazing view, it was nice and clean, very comfortable. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was very inviting
The check-in wasn't until 4 o'clock, so as we arrived at 12:00 there was a long wait. The Wi-Fi wasn't very good in the room. The television didn't have many channels and although it was a smart TV you couldn't get you tube etc.

Welcome staff - Jennie (I believe) was incredibly welcoming. Answered all our questions. Smiley and friendly and a perfect person to welcome us. In the morning we were greeted for breakfast and a very friendly member of staff took our order and he checked that we were happy. Food was great.
We stayed in the stable block, we have stayed here before. All perfectly fine and outer decoration is spot on. The room is starting to look a little tired - perhaps personal preference. But very clean and very happy with it all.

Great location when traveling to betws. Couldn’t get any closer to the centre if you tried. Would explain the price of the stay. Room is quite basic for the price however, we did stay on a Saturday last weekend of half term! Staff were excellent very helpful and respectful. Breakfast Good value for money if you’re looking to fill up for your day of walking or biking the area. Hire bikes from bricks betws, we had a discount code from the Royal Oak so make sure to book after you arrive. Id heard the food in the oak is very nice and good standard however, we had already planned to visit the pizza place across the field! Great stay would defo visit again
Not really anything to be disappointed in. Other than as I explained above you’d feel the room would be a little more exciting!
