The house is in a superb location - across the road from the beach and right on the SW coast path. Chris and Jane are lovely, friendly and welcoming hosts and went out of their way to accommodate us. We stayed in the king/twin room which has a fabulous sea view - and we had a very comfortable night's sleep. It was lovely to have fresh milk for tea in the room, rather than UHT cartons. Breakfast was very hearty and cooked fresh to order - you just choose your breakfast time and what you'd like to eat the evening before. We ate at the Dolphin Inn, a five minute walk away in the village - great food and reasonably priced. It's an old house with quirky (but beautiful!) decor. If you're after a clinical and minimalist aesthetic, it may not be for you. But if you appreciate good food, comfort and a warm welcome in a lovely spot, then it's perfect!

Bedside lamps weren't really good enough to read by - but who cares?! After a day walking the Coast path, you just want to sleep anyway.

The breakfast was great! Yummy Always fresh , on time lots of fruit and hot tea and coffee. Our host always friendly ❤️and accommodating Thank you

There were a few issues.. the attic room was difficult for my friend to reach and the sloped sides l hit my head 3 times..ouch! The bath which was lovely for me. My friend could not maneuver in the bath. My friend is very private about her health issues , we which shall have expressed this to you. Just a suggestion If you only have baths let the public know this. Thanks

The location and view from our room was amazing. Exceptionally clean and tidy throughout the B&B, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was first class with various options to choose from. We were staying there as we were attending a wedding nearby and we had trouble with taxis, Chris took us to the venue on 2 occasions and we were extremely grateful, nothing was too much trouble.

The property is in great location,close to the beach and shops. No shortage of ice cream parlours Very spacious and private accommodation. The breakfasts are top drawer,there is a great choice including vegetarian The biggest asset is the hosts,very warm and friendly,nothing is too much trouble for them.

The house is located in an amazing place in front of a beautiful beach where you can take a stroll. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the room was very spacious with a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast area was very nice and breakfast itself was abundant and good.

Nothing really to mention. Just be aware that 4/5G signal is not strong in the area but the bnb has WiFi.

Newberry Beach Lodge is a true gem. The house is beautifully quirky and a stone's throw from the beach. We were welcomed very warmly and stayed in room 4, which is on the second floor. There was nobody else staying on that floor, so it was very quiet except for the sound of the sea. The room had a sea view and was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was fabulous with a victorian style bath tub and colourful wallpaper. Breakfast was amazing and there was time to chat to fellow guests. The host was very knowledgeable about the area and happy to give advice on where to go for the day, where to eat etc. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return here next time we visit the area.

The bed was a little soft for me.

With this place, the charm is the location next to one of the beaches, the building itself (long time serving as a guest house), the cooked breakfast and a host that was really good at hospitality. Even his two spaniel dogs came to say hello. While it rained hard in the night, the view of the far beach in the morning sunshine made a special summer experience to remember. They even have a mermaid to welcome you from the upstairs library! Good parking spaces too.

I could imagine that some tourists may find the access road hard to negotiate - it's narrow yet shows up on Google maps as navigable. The only thing I guess could be improved is to clean the carpets a bit more thoroughly, but the ensuite bathroom was actually spotless.

Omg the most restful bedroom ever. Enjoyed the clawfooted bath. Scored a park so happy there( easier for a small vehicle). Lovely hosts. Very good breakfast. Perfect location. Quirky and different. One of the best stays of our trip. Not modern but with old world charm. Would stay again.

Towels a bit tired looking. Very minor though. Choose this place

The host was very kind and helped us to try a large quantity of wet kit after a long day on the coast path. He also very kindly took us on our onward journey in the morning. He seemed very used to having walkers at the B&B and kindly moved us to a room with a bath so we could get warmed up. All of this was very much appreciated.

As we were taking minimum kit with us it perhaps would have been nice to have had a little bar of soap at the sink as we didn’t have any with us.

The location was excellent as we were down for a family wedding. The hosts Chris and Jane to be honest went above and beyond anything expected. Views fabulous. It included breakfast which was really good, home cooked and many variations of your choice, they truely went out of their way for guest to the point of offering us a lift home from the wedding if needed, which unfortunately it was, taxi's scarce and would not come but Chris came and did two trips, I have never experienced such personal service from a B&B, if you're in that region then stay, I will if i am back there, plus its quirky for those who like something different.
