Violet was amazing, welcoming and so helpful; nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and had a great sense of humour! George made the best, breakfasts ever: any combination of ingredients freshly cooked to order. The room was spotlessly clean and large, with a very useful case stand, something hardly ever provided these days. Towels were large, fluffy and luxurious; again something lacking in many hotels. Parking in the hotel's car park right outside meant we could keep an eye on the car. The location was perfect for us as we came for a wedding at the Tunnels beach which could not have been closer. It took us a minute to walk there. It was also close to the centre of this picturesque town and harbour with some super walks, views and many places to eat. We barely used our car in our 5 day stay. All in all a wonderful stay! So glad we found it; the previous glowing reviews were correct!

Our room was large, comfortable, very clean and tastefully furnished with a separate seating area. Plenty of coffee and tea was provided as were toiletries in the en suite, which had an easy to use shower. There was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent- everything was cooked to order and was delicious. The hotel is quiet and yet very convenient both for the beaches and the town. Violetta and George are wonderful, friendly people who made our stay perfect. It's a gem of a place and we hope to return.

Sadly, because many of the surrounding hotels have closed and are in various stages of renovation into apartments, the exterior surroundings seem a little run down- but that impression is expelled as soon as you get inside.

We recently spent four nights at the Palm Court, the building itself looks quite tired. However we had a lovely spaceous room which was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide selection to choose from, multiple choices of cooked breakfasts as well as a very good continental style choice. The place is run by a lovely couple, Violeta and George who cannot do enough for you. Would certainly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as said earlier the building itself is looking rather tired but inside it was fine. No complaints.

The lady running the B&B was very friendly and helpful. There was a very good choice of breakfast meals on the menu. The cooked breakfast was tasty and well cooked. There was a large choice to suit all tastes, requirements. The bed was really comfortable . All the bedding and room was very clean and fresh. Toiletries were good and better for being in large bottles instead of little tubes. The location was good . It is within walking distance of the main town and seafront. The road running.past the hotel was very quite especially at night. We would stay here again and recommend to others.

Everything! The husband and wife team who run the b&b were fantastic! Nothing was too much effort. Chatty, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and happy to assist with anything to make the trip enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were super comfy! Great shower, with lovely smelling shampoo, body wash and hand soap provided. They had the best stock of tea, coffee and little milks in the room - I drink lots of tea (as do the rest of the group!) Breakfast was fabulous. Toast and cereal available as a self serve and a choice of cooked breakfasts available to order. Parking is also available. A good sized, spacious car park. The b&b is close to the harbour, which is lovely! 5 mins drive from Hele and 15 mins drive from Combe Martin. I would absolutely recommend this b&b. We had the most fantastic stay and would love to visit again! Thank you for making our weekend so fantastic!

Coming home!

Old but redecorated, well maintained and cheerful Plenty of quality fluffy towels Good shower - excellent water pressure and hot Great service:Violet and George both put guests’ comfort first Breakfasts - plenty of choice, always freshly cooked and hot

Not so much didn’t like, but guests need to be fit and agile to get up and stairs (with luggage) and to get in and out of shower which is over the bath Plenty of mirrors but I needed one near power point to style hair with hair dryer Seagulls crap everywhere in Ilfracombe - ask George about the bucket and brush!

Breakfast was lovely and made to order with a nice varied menu to choose from. Nice choice of cereals and fruit drinks and unlimited coffee! Nothing was too much trouble for violeta who was wonderful and very welcoming.

Not so much didn’t like but Palm Court is an old building and some adjoining/nearby hotels are closed and area looks tired which did not create a good early impression but this was soon forgotten once we checked in and stayed for 2 nights and in the end had a lovely stay which met our expectations based on previous reviews.

The whole stay was made better by the hospitality of this hotel very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was superb especially the sausage nothing was too much trouble. The hotel its self was clean and smelt fresh. They are very knowledgeable about the area of Ilfracombe so if you've never been I'm sure you be put into a direction where you'd get the most of your stay. Beautiful restaurants in the nook and crannys with lovely cooked food , the fudge sweet shops are crazy I whent a little mad as a fudge lover so many hand made varieties. To sum it up don't look past this lovely hotel We will be back in very near future.

There was nothing too dislike a open honest hotel

Personal friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and comfortable room, which was serviced as frequently as we required. Brilliant breakfasts with lots of choice on cooked menu. Able to come and go as we pleased and had space to park in onsite carpark.

Nothing! If I had to think of an improvement, I would suggest sachets of drinking choc in the room (in addition to tea/coffee), but I’ve no complaints at all!

Great b&b with free parking in close proximity to local shops. Cafe bars, restaurants, tunnel beaches just round the corner. Violet & George (the hosts) so welcoming & hardworking to make sure you have the best possible stay & always on hand should you need them. The b&b was spotless clean, lovely spacious rooms & lovely breakfast room. Great selection of breakfast items to choose from the cooked breakfast was delicious cooked by George.(Thank you) Violet there to greet you each morning with a lovely friendly "good morning" (despite her feeling under the weather) to take your order always had time to ask after each guest & make sure they had everything they needed. We had a fantastic stay at Palm court thanks to Violet & George & would highly recommend them. We wouldn't stay anywhere else now if we come back Ilfracombe after being so well looked after. Thank you Violet & George.
