We arrived late after a long delay on the M5, to be met by the smiling, friendly Margaret, who made us feel very welcome. As we were leaving early next day to cycle to Plymouth on the Devon coast to coast ride and would've missed breakfast, Margaret brought croissants, yoghurts and fruit juice etc to our room for the next morning, and even put in a small fridge for us, service above and beyond for such a small hotel. The family room was a good size for the three of us and was great with a couple of comfy chairs and table. For the excellent price, we felt that this was amazing value for money and the hotel was in great condition, a lovingly well cared for imposing Victorian building. We certainly heartily recommend Cairn House as a fab place to stay in Ilfracombe and if back for a visit, look forward to staying there again.

I received a warm welcome on arrival. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious with ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent! It's a lovely old house, well maintained and very clean. Although St Brannocks Road is one of the main routes into the town there was no traffic noise. Parking was good. I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future. One thing to be aware of is that the driveway is quite steep and curved at the top and bottom. Be careful when leaving the premises as main road visibility is limited. I found it best to emerge slowly with my hazard lights flashing. This is true of all the houses on that section of the road so it's not something that could be easily changed. It's a historic 'feature'.

Just such a lovely place to stay. Very quiet hotel conveniently located for visitors exploring North Devon, it's also near Exmoor, horse riding up the road. Bus stop a few yards away if you don't drive. . Within walking distance to Ilfracombe town. Ample free hotel parking. Clean, warm hotel, fresh decor, plenty of towels etc. Nice crisp bedding. On my booking breakfast was included which featured the works! Was delicious. Great service. Free WiFi which was a good connection. Hosts were lovely and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

Breakfast help yourself cereals and fruit drinks, choice of breakfast standard British but other by request, the room was single I stayed in because of availability but full en-suite with bath or shower very clean and lovely size for a good nights sleep and the Host very friendly and welcoming.

Do not usually use a single room and because of the lovely weather the Beaches were all full with no parking at 10 am but that is not the Host fault but after the day a welcoming comfortable room

We stayed in Room 3 from the 5th-9th August and can honestly say that we had an amazing stay. The room was great. Clean comfirtable and extreemly relaxing abd quiet. Nick and Margaret are brilliant hoasts informative friendly and warm. They couldnt do enough to make you feel valued and important. Tge breakfast was lovely with nothing being to much for their guests. Thank you both and we will definitely recommended and be back xx

Amazing hosts so caring and helpful hard working happy and so pleasant to be around very clued in to guests who want privacy and space but also so informative of trips and bus times wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this band b perfect breakfast was delicious the hosts went out of their way to make sure every thing was to your requirements even down to asking if you wanted something for breakfast as we are quite late risers thankyou Marg and Nick for a fab time if you want cleanliness comfort and friendliness hosts in a clean comfort envitoment this is the place to stay at a reasonable price anx wel worth every penny carry on the good work hopefully we will be back soon

Room was great with a sea view and all you need for a comfortable stay even had an iron and ironing board which was a nice touch ,plenty of parking onsite too . Bus stops are close by so getting around to Woolacombe, morthoe etc is easy enough if you aren't driving . The hosts were fantastic very attentive to any of your needs and the breakfast is absolutely superb🙂. Would not hesitate to stay here again .

We were greeted with the friendliest welcome, our room was much nicer than I expected. It was very clean and very comfortable, so much that we had a take away rather than walk into town. The room was tidied and refilled with tea etc whilst we were out the following day which I didn’t expect and was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious and it was lovely that there was oat milk, especially as I hadn’t requested it. If I needed a bed and breakfast again I would stay here as I know it’s perfect for what we needed.

Lovely little B&B to stay in . Hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Happy to offer their views on the local area and offer suggestions to make the trip as enjoyable as it could be.

Nothing that springs to mind, it was a very pleasant and and B&B to stay in. Parking can be a bit tight when there is several guests but nothing that can't be overcome if everyone parks responsibly

Greeted with a big smile when we first walked in. Very friendly and happy to help us with directions and things to do in the local area. Homely throughout but also very clean. Rooms are very spacious, and we couldn't have asked for anything else. Instant hot water in the shower. Pressure 10/10. Breakfast, again 10/10! Spot on! Needless to say, when we return to Ilfracombe, we wont be needing to look anywhere else for a place to stay. Many thanks!
