All staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The location for short break was superb. Service was excellent and we had a very enjoyable stay.

The room decor was a little tired but still clean and serviceable. Although breakfasts were very good we seemed to confuse staff when we requested less than a full English. It would be sensible to have a system where individual items such as just bacon, egg and toast can be selected easily, rather than having to decide what items were not required. Room 12 affected by noise from heating system next door!

The room was spacious and clean, although I do feel parts were tired. The bed base was looking a bit worse for wear and the paintwork could do with refreshing in the room and other parts of the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had reserved tables in the restaurant for eighteen people. We were given a dedicated space spread over four tables which was fine. Although it was Friday evening and busy the kitchen and serving staff managed to deal with our meals in a timely and efficient manner. The food was good too.

I don’t believe anything could have been any better. Everything was done efficiently and with a smile. I had a problem with a missing receipt which the manager sorted out for me. Great service.

It was our second visit. The hotel is in a good location and the few staff we saw were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with all that we needed for an overnight stay. No hesitation in recommending it to others. We had dinner in the restaurant , it was delicious and in spite of it being very busy was served up very efficiently.

Our main criticism was the slowness of the internet. We did have one problem though. When we woke in the morning we both had severe diarrhoea which we can only put down to the meal the previous evening. We both had the “ smothered chicken “ main course and soft drink, nothing else. As stated it was delicious and we remarked on the generous amount of food on our plates. We can only think that maybe there was something wrong with the chicken. Did you have any other patrons complaining? We would be glad to hear your feedback

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The housekeeping staff was excellent, as was the reception staff who responded to a medical emergency in the early hours of the morning swiftly, efficiently and with great compassion. The restaurant and bar food was excellent, of good quality and reasonably priced. Breakfast - especially the smoked salmon and scrambled egg was extremely good - with no shortage of smoked salmon. The lunch/ dinner menu was extensive with interesting seasonal dishes available. Alcoholic drinks seemed a little expensive but there were "specials" available at lower prices. When faced with the need to extend our stay by 2 days the reception staff were able and willing to switch room bookings in order to enable us to continue our stay in the same room.

The magnetic card key failed to operate on a number of occasions - necessitating a trip to reception each time to reinstate the data on the key card which, although not serious, was an inconvenience. Nothing else was an issue during our week+ stay.

Location of the Old Mill gives easy access to the A46 & M69 as well as the Ciry of Coventry. Reception staff member Helen was welcoming & very helpful, thank you. Breakfast cooked to order, very good. Dinner can be taken in the restaurant or bar but best to book ahead for the restaurant especially at weekends as the Old Mill is a popular venue. Nice atmosphere on a wintry evening. Food excellent from a very varied menu and waiting staff were really pleasant & friendly.

Lighting in the bedroom could be better but once I’d requested a desk lamp it was quickly sourced and helped.

Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming.Breakfast service was OK, again staff excellent, lovely location, large car park with lots of CCTV coverage and good outside seating area, with seperate no-smoking area well away from the smoking area.

Bacon very salty at breakfast. Not really enough coffee provided but these were minor. We also had an issue with the shower, the tap and regulator fell apart while my wife was in the shower. Managed to reassemble it enough to turn the shower off, reported to reception

Very well equipped room, which was clean and comfortable. I only had breakfasts which were excellent however bar/restaurant meals looked lovely but I'd already eaten midday.

Miffed Booking.com cancelled my room due to them saying credit card was declined which I find doubtful as it had 0 balance...had to quickly rebook to get room back which cost me an extra £50. Prior to cancelling room was told by Booking.com to contact hotel if I had a problem who advised room was booked and all was well and I didn't need to pay them as booking was fine.

Breakfast Room Performance: The Hot Water tea making facility using a pump type thermos dispenser needs to be explored and replaced with a modern plumbed in option. I noted some guests were not famialiar with the hot water dispenser and gave up or the dispenser was empty for the next person gagging for a cup of tea. This dispenser is unsuitable and insufficient within a hotel Breakfast Room setting. However it works great in a meeting room for 3 or 4 people !!

The location and the setting.The restaurant next door so not having to go out for diner and option to eat on patio near the river on sunny day. The staff were great to.Since my last stay they have electric charging points put in for those who need them and the car park is big so no having to queue in a space.

Having a room no 27 that was feet away from the function room.It was so loud we couldn't even hear the TV.The music was turned down about 10.45 but you could still hear it,the music finally went off at 11.40.I know it was a Saturday night and people party but to put people right next to it just was not ideal.Have stayed here before but in the newer part and was nice and quite.

The room was large and comfortable with a couch, desk, and comfortable bed. Great shower over the bath. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

I am gluten intolerant not through choice. The first morning the cooked breakfast was brilliant properly cooked and a wonderful choice. Everything even sausages! The next morning was a different story the hash brown wasn't very edible and my poached egg was half raw and I didn't get sausages. I put that down to different chefs. As for the restaurant menu it could have had more than just Gammon steak.
