We visited as a group of 6, we booked the stay and dine package. What a fantastic place, easy to find, plenty of parking and easy check in. Our room (9) was stunning, with views, 4 poster bed, bathroom with bath and separate shower and 2 washes. We drank and ate, food was lovely, the team looked after us all night, keeping us watered with a good drinks menu including cocktails. Breakfast was very good too. The team split the bill across the 3 couples without any issues (some places make this more complicated than what it is). Everything to the highest standard. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.
Genuinely there is nothing that we didn’t enjoy.

The Bear's Paw is a beautifully presented eatery and a fabulous place to stay. We stayed to break up our journey home from the Lake District and didn't disappoint. Food was excellent, both at lunchtime and dinner with a tempting menu and quality ingredients. Our room, although on the top floor was spacious, clean and the bathroom luxuriously appointed with quality fittings. This will now be our default stop over when travelling North to South.
What didn't we like? We only could stat one night!

The hygiene and cleanliness of this hotel is fantastic. Every day I witnessed the communal areas being washed/mopped/hoovered. The staff were very helpful, polite and respectful to us and especially our dog. Beautiful inside and out, as well as the location. Nice sized rooms, good showers and room accessories.
I feel the breakfast requires improvement. Full English Breakfast for example, only one sausage, half a slice of black pudding etc. Its a bit bizarre sitting with it knowing someone on another table has the other half of your black pudding. Average quality. One elderly member of staff that I only ever seen at breakfast time - never smiled, didn’t seem enthusiastic and gave off the vibe that she didn’t want to be there or enjoyed serving people. Made as much noise as she could when clearing tables too. Definitely wouldn’t prevent me coming back however, the rest of the experience was fantastic.

The property is beautiful, very well laid out for a relaxing drink or meal. The room exceeded expectation, it was very big, lovely comfortable bed, great views from the windows. There was plenty of storage, comfortable seating and even a chaise lounge! Coffee, various teas and hot chocolate for you to make yourself and a few nice biscuits. The bathroom had a nice big bath, separate shower, double sinks and even a TV! (we couldn’t get the tv to work but I suspect user error) We ate in the dining area at night and the food was excellent and well priced. The staff were professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and keep the place very neat and clean. We’re already planning a return trip.
Nothing to dislike.

The Bear's Paw is in a charming village location within easy reach of the M6 and the nearby towns of Nantwich, Crewe, Middlewich and Sandbatch. Its modest-sized, traditional-style frontage belies its spacious interior, modern facilities and comfortable, well-equipped rooms and the standard of service was everything we could wish for without being intrusive in any way. The breakfast choice was excellent and we found plenty to savour on the main menu which as it was available from mid-day until 9.30pm, gave us plenty of opportunity to schedule our meals to fit in with the various activities we needed to complete while we were in the area.
We could not stay long enough on any of our visits

Lovely room. Very good dinner menu, delicious Steak and Ale Pie, good breakfast.
Shame about dogs in restaurant, before you complain I am a dog lover but don't approve of them in dining areas, when serving staff made a fuss of dogs, never saw them go to wash hands afterwards. Would also have preferred if some rooms were designated dog free. Timing at breakfast was a little fast, cooked breakfast arrived when only just started to eat cereal, it was good but why only half a slice of Black pudding.

Every thing was great , rooms were clean & well appointed. The staff were very friendly & attentive. The beer & wine was delicious! The meals were great, apart from mine & my sister in laws main meal.
We were a group of 4 , my husband & I travelling with my brother & his wife. My brother & husband ordered their dinner which was excellent they said. My sister in law & I ordered the Red Thai King prawn curry, unfortunately it was not good. It did not resemble a curry at all & certainly didn't taste of curry. A very disappointing meal for 2 hungry people. I actually wish I had asked for it to be taken back. I never complain at the best of times but this meal was dire. :-) The breakfast the following day was excellent & the ladies serving were so friendly & lovely, it made up for our awful meal the night before.

We fully enjoyed my stay at The 🐻 Paw, the staff was professional polite smart helpful, the room was great the restaurant was as it should be, the food was fantastic, evening and breakfast a good choice, the photo is a little humour
This is the problem, I am a very light sleeper, the church was about 150 meters away So on the the hour and quarter past and too, the church bells rung though the night, lol ear plugs or more wine next time, lol its part of the village setting, I do believe Thursday night from 1900hrs to 2100hrs church bell ringing, but I did sleep some of the night, but don't let this put you off, fantastic place, I will be going back big thanks to the staff, owner

Room was lovely & spacious, quiet and beautiful area to stay for a couple of nights. Breakfast & dinner was very good.
I was very put off by Dogs in the restaurant & right by my table at breakfast. I understand everyone likes to have their dogs with them but I don’t see the need for them there while I’m having a Saturday night dinner or right at my breakfast table, this put us off booking this hotel again, which is a shame because we have stayed here before and never had this, so if you don’t like dogs, not the place for you.

The hotel is set in beautiful and peaceful countryside and there are several public footpaths around if you enjoy walking. It is also dog friendly. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom. The food in the restaurant was very good with a large choice and staff were friendly and helpful.
Our only gripe is that they are still using individual tubes of shower gel etc instead of the dispensers that most hotels have these days. Granted they are more aesthetically pleasing but SO MUCH PLASTIC .
