I am visiting, once a year, for the professional event. Always multiple rooms with restaurant booking included for all the crew. We found the staff working in Cranage to be exceptionally helpful and they are always doing extra length to satisfy our needs, or just help when it's needed. Breakfasts are testy and feeding. To my taste, could be more adventurous, but it is not bad as it is. The restaurant menu is very good and we are always enjoying our meals there and the service quality. The long hair brunet lady ,( pardon me, but forgot the name ) who is the restaurant manager there is simply OUT OF SCALE! 100 out of 10. Can't believe how energetic SHE is and where she takes all that power from, but without HER, nothing would be the same. Kudos to HER, and special TXS from myself and whole our team.

Often I have the room with leaking shower or sort of problem that sort. I don't care if I m tired, as I am falling asleep without notice of it, but in general, refurbishment of those accessories in the rooms would elevate vastly staying experience.

Lovely clean room with lots of fresh air. Comfortable bed. Had food and drinks in the bar.

Bar food was good, but service could have been a lot better. Had to wait quite a while for our first drink and then no apology for keeping us waiting, or even eye contact. Had starter and then waited nearly forty minutes for mains. Just going to the bar to see what was going on and again ignored. Then I could see the food coming out. Sorry he said there was a problem with one of the chefs. If somebody had advised us there would be a wait it is easier to be patient and understanding. Breakfast staff were First Class.

Lovely and quite in the middle of no where, so I enjoy the peacefulness of the area. Cleaning staff very friendly too and rooms was clean and comfortable as well.

For the price I paid, I was expecting more. Had a broken fridge, but it worked (just) and bathroom door didn’t shut either and when shut I was scared it didn’t open. Spoke to another guess, they had drill holes in walls for what was moved in their room and not been finished when room put right before they got the room. Also room numbers was so random and not in order so I struggled to find my room.

Staff were very friendly, courteous and efficient, breakfast included a wide variety of hot and cold buffet choices. The pool and spa were very clean and exceeded our expectations. Real flame fire places and comfy chairs to relax near reception. Rooms were very clean, bed was soft and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with Penhaligon toiletries and a powerful shower.

The bedrooms were in a modern wing with conference rooms, on a long corridor that lacked the charm of the main building. You can hear noise from the room and bathroom next door. The hotel seemed quiet, so perhaps room occupancy could have been juggled to limit guest noise between rooms.

We had a nice welcome from the ladies on reception. All of the public areas are decorated and furnished to a high standard. There is no faded grandeur here. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a good roomy ensuite. We had 2 good nights sleep in the large cosy bed. We used the leisure facilities which were excellent and well kept. The food was really good with buffet style breakfast and lots of quality choices. Dinner was available in the restaurant or more casual food in the bar. Prices were not too bad for the quality of food and service on offer. We had an amazing weekend enjoying the local area and the hotel provided us with a great base. Look forward to returning one day.

Requested a nice view which was complied with. Good clean room, plenty of space for overnight visit and hotel very easy access to M6 for our onward journey to the Lake District. Good breakfast included in our room rate. Ate in bar which was all we required, restaurant seemed expensive and uninspiring. Took our drinks and sat in a lounge afterwards. It is a corporate hotel and so ba r caters for large groups which were thankfully scarce! Would use again for overnight stop.

TV's in bar not really our thing but only stayed in there for quick bite.

Beautiful hotel. Lots of facilities. Friendly staff

Attention to detail with the cleaning in the room. Bathroom was not the best and old fashioned. Taps had the centre peace missing on both bath and sink. Tile sealant mouldy in place and yellow, could do with re grouting to freshen up. Mirrors and pictures in the room are smeary... Just attention to detail would Make a huge difference. Layer of dust on headboard top, stained lamps and stained carpets. It's a absolutely beautiful hotel until you get into the room which is a shame. I would recommend the hotel to others but recommend they invest in upgrade to get a better room that's not old-fashioned with better quality

Very welcoming, room was fabulous and comfortable, staff very pleasant really pleased with value for money

For me the breakfast could have been a little better, the bacon was hard and the sausages hollow as they had been standing in the warmer maybe too long on too high a heat, the young lady in the breakfast room was very smily and pleasant ,the older lady with glasses serving I found quite abrupt and rude.

Great location, lovely grounds and building. Decent bar and restaurant for a midweek stay.

Took forever for both my drinks and food at dinner, despite there being only 3 other tables. Reception staff were pleasant but I felt it was missing that little bit extra ie “how was your stay” when checking out. Also, my room smelled a bit damp when I arrived, I didn’t report but opened the window for a bit and it seemed ok. There was drilling at 8:30am which was pretty loud. Shocking that sort of maintenance is going on where guests are staying, long before check out.

Lovely building, rooms, food & plenty of parking.

Needed extra cutlery at breakfast. Asked the member of staff on the breakfast restaurant desk (who had just been cleaning the coffee machine away from the desk) where I could get some extra cutlery. She advised me to move to a different table. I explained we were sitting with friends. She then told me to ‘ask a member of staff’. She was the only member of staff available. Not at all helpful. Ended up taking cutlery from another table as I passed. Shower door caused a leak. Jacuzzi not working. Signs up in leisure area but we were not informed of this when we DPD ifivslly asked about the jacuzzi at reception 15 minutes prior to accessing the leisure area.
