Everything went very well we enjoyed our Stay very much the staff were happy and very helpful and nothing was to much Trouble I like the Buffett Breakfast and that you could also order other food if you didn't fancy the Buffett in all a very Good food Choice.Oh and the Location was Great right next to the Zoo No far from the City Centre Just a short Bus ride. And if you are young and Fit you could Walk

House Keeping Needs to be stepped up I Didn't say anything about our Room until the Night before we were Leaving It needed a good Detailing From an X Cleaner Most People would not have Stayed in the Room we had from the Urine Smell as you Enter the Room I had a Spray with me which I use when ever we Enter the room Also Flushing the Toilet was a big problem I didn't use the room Toilet unless it was Necessary.As to the Lifts its says Max people in at a time 7 there is no way 7 people should be in the lifts the Inn they are way to small in these days of Covid you would only have 2 per Lift How ever We did enjoy our Stay and we would Book again

There was plenty of choice at breakfast, but the toaster was set so low that you got hot bread! We chose the location as the nearer we got to Edinburgh the price shot up and we ascertained we were on a regular bus route to the city. The room was adequate and beds comfortable. The front of house staff were very helpful and the staff in general were good

Housekeeping were a bit hit and miss, bins not emptied and glasses from the bar left during all our 4 day stay. We would not have chosen this hotel had I known that it was on such a steep incline. It was hard work for me to climb the steep hill to the hotel after using the bus. This should be made clear when booking. l would not have booked had I know this as at present I am unsteady on my feet. We ended up using taxis to and from the hotel as I found it difficult to manage the steep slope and the steps to the ground floor, as there was no lift to the lower ground floor.

The receptionists were lovely and accomodating. Housekeeping and room service staff were well mannered and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable and I was able to control the heating and air conditioning in our room. Fresh towels were provided daily. My son enjoyed meeting the mischievous polar bear at breakfast in the restaurant which kept him entertained. Edinburgh zoo is only next door which is always a wonderful day out for all ages. Supermarkets within walking distance. Regular buses which take roughly 15 mins into the City centre.

My son is autistic and due to sensory overload at times he can appear quite hyper and talk a lot. Rather than pool staff dismissing him at times they could have just said hello. This would have helped ease his anxiety and helped him to remain calm.

Our child became unwell unexpectedly and was sick in the hotel room I felt so bad asking for assistance with the clean up but I was greeted with such a warm and helpful response. In particular a remarkable young man named Kyle B.arrived at our door with all the products needed to safely address the situation with our carpet. He took complete control of the cleaning process and it was dealt with very efficiently. What was even more impressive was his gentle and positive approach to the situation He made us all feel so much better about the situation we found ourselves in. He was so personable and mature and despite the circumstances we met under I'm so thankful I had the chance to meet him. Kyle is destined for great things and I hope that the Holiday Inn recognises this and gives him the opportunities and support he deserves to develop his career. We will be booking again with this hotel and hope we'll meet Kyle in much nicer circumstances upon our arrival!

First of all, the staff at this hotel is nothing but lovely. Big shout-out to all the nice people at the reception (especially Nathan!) and of course the friendly lads and lassies that took care of the (delicious!) breakfast. We really had a good time during our stay. The bus stops to and from the airport as well as to and from the city are right in front of the door, so it's very well connected. Also, as a guest of the hotel, you get 50% off on the tickets for the Edinburgh Zoo nearby.

The rooms were spacious and clean, but you could see that this hotel has already been there for a few years by now. The bed was (in my opinion) a bit too small for two people and we were happy to have an additional couch-bed available. Also, it was a little poorly sound-proofed - might use a little renovation because the rest of the hotel was really beautiful and nice!

The staff were super friendly and helpful and pleasant in restaurants and front desk The downstairs entrance was all very tidy and clean Restaurant staff a ten out of ten Also asked for extra pillows and received them thank you Good for bus travel into town

I did not like the bathroom the seat was needing replaced and some grout in tiles .asking it look dirty Loo did not flush well and did report this and was told they are in middle of refurbishment and it's next in line Apart from the bathroom needing upgraded it was not notified on the website that some rooms required upgrading Parking very tight for larger cars

The restaurant and breakfast facilities were great! A wide range of food and drinks available. The area was well kept and looked after and was modern and comfortable and made the stay so much nicer and offset the rooms which didn't quite match the open spaces. The staff were friendly and helpful and my little girl loved her first stay in a hotel.

The rooms were ok. The bed was clean and comfy and the set up with our 3 year old was great but it was little bits like the mould in the bathroom that made me a little put off. It was clean on the facilities and around the room generally but needed a deep clean to get the mould out from the ceiling and the grout changing colour. With that I am glad we didn't pay full price for the room that the hotel advertised when we got there! But it was clean enough to stay in and wouldn't put me off going back there.

Brilliant location, excellent choices of food, drink, swimming pool etc. Parking on site too. Comfortable bed friendly helpful staff. It was basically absolutely fine, just one or two issues.

Room unbearably hot, air con made no difference (worked but did not cool and kept setting to 18) and when the windows open - traffic noise bad. Coffee stain on edge of bed sheets when I got there (I didn't eat or drink in the room so not mine), no information in the room like breakfast times, facilities, menu, how to book anything, what time check out was etc. Also, having driven for 8 hours, I staggered upstairs to my room with luggage, only to find the key card did not work. I was on my own, so I had to go all the way down with all of my stuff, get card re programmed and then back up again with a member of staff. Where upon it worked fine! I'm also pretty sure people were smoking on the floor I was on (smell).

Amazing staff. I had torn a muscle in my leg whilst in the city and limped into the hotel. The receptionist noticed and offered access to the first aider who gave me an ice pack and some other advice. The bar staff happily arranged ice for me to use as another pack later on and I was able to get analgesia as needed. I was quite worried and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I hadn't reserved a breakfast when I checked in because of the drama with my leg but in the morning I realised and the breakfast staff were so helpful arranging it. Bus service brilliant to hotel to and from city and airport.

Because of my leg I didn't get to go to the zoo! I was hoping my room overlooked it instead, next time! Lack of electrical sockets to plug into. I think I ended up leaving my charger because it was tucked behind some furniture in the only plug in room. Difficult to get tv to work. Bathroom clean and bed comfy with plenty of pillows so I could elevate my leg

Loved the use of the pool We were visiting the zoo so ideal location for us. Staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean. Good breakfast.

Hotel is a little dated but its OK. Its not mobility friendly with stairs everywhere. It was quite expensive for us to be honest but that seemed to be the case everywhere in Edinburgh and at least it has the added bonus of the leisure facilities. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food wasn't awesome to be honest. The risotto was bland and my husbands burger was quite basic. The meal wasn't great value for money.
