The accommodation was provided in a lovely aesthetically pleasing country style house. We saw two deer at the house as we arrived which set the tone. The stairway was particularly noteworthy, but the lounge and dining area were beautiful rooms from another era. Breakfast was excellent and even better to enjoy in sumptuous surroundings. Our bathroom was a surprise being a yellow suite with matching tiling, but it was in perfect order and spotlessly clean. Our room had everything we needed and the quality of the bedding meant we had a very comfortable night's sleep.

Only one small thing, the entrance! It seemed a bit austere and unwelcoming, perhaps some plants or flowers or welcome notice for guests, although there was a bell to ring, or tel. no. to call for entry.

The location was lovely but it took us nearly 4 hours to find it as we had no Sat Nav.! But having found our destination it was great and the breakfast was fantastic as it reminded me of our house when growing up! What a table and the eggs were just as they should be - thank you.

There was nothing that could have been better except our reason for being there as it was to attend my sister's funeral at the Oaks - it was a lovely place to come back to and relax.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained property and it was a privilege to be allowed to stay in such a historic building. Hollybank House has been owned by three generations of the Williams family who made us and our two rather unruly dogs feel most welcome and comfortable. The suite we stayed in is spacious and overlooks the extensive garden. We requested a tax invoice from them many months after our stay, and they sent it to us without any delay.

Very friendly welcome and this continued with every family member we met. Delightful house and gardens, peaceful environment and comfortable bed Wish that we had booked to stay longer!

Breakfast bacon was slightly over done but the rest of the breakfast was great.

Beautiful house and setting, family run, a truly wonderful set up. Incredibly well hosted. It’s a gem. We would love to go back but consider ourselves very fortunate to have managed to get a room, we imagine it gets quickly booked up. Thank you for your generous hospitality and warmth.

A beautiful country house set in wonderful gardens , but conveniently situated close to town and access to major roads . We liked everything about this large spacious home. The beds , pillows and linens were super comfortable. Breakfast was very good with excellent service . Highly recommended

It is in a lovely location. Parking very easy. The room was immaculately clean & warm, the bed comfortable & the food very good. We felt very welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Ideal grounds for walking our dog. We saw the deer in the grounds at breakfast time.

A stunning house which has maintained its original features and is set in beautiful grounds. Very calm and peaceful. Spacious room with comfortable bed. The host is extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Can’t recommend it high enough. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely atmosphere with warm and friendly hosts. Comfortable bed, soft and fluffy towels. Very homely. We were in the pink room. Lovely and quiet. Old world charm. Breakfasts were delicious with top quality ingredients. All served in the grand dining room seated with other guests who were also delightful company.

Very good breakfast with plenty of choice and nicely presented. We loved the location and being able to see the sea from our bedroom.

We prefer a table to ourselves for breakfast but it would be difficult with the large table and as it was quiet it didn't matter.
