Room for a one night stay spacious enough as travelling light with small amount of luggage. Breakfast was an ample choice for buffet very pleased with the offer of fried or poached eggs available too. Bathroom refreshingly modern with large walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and linen of quality and overall room, hotel and bar and restaurant clean in all public areas Our greatest comfort was the on site parking and extending our parking whilst sailing from Portsmouth leaving our car safe and secure with you.

Only natural light was in the bathroom but did not spoil our experience as amply lighting and lamps in the bedroom area

Easy to find. Ample parking in front of the hotel (free at wknds), very friendly staff throughout the hotel at all times. Rooms great size, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. We booked 2 doubles which they gave next to each other without being asked which was a bonus since many hotels struggle with this request. We had to pay £5 per room extra for the leisure facilities but we got to use the swimming pool, sauna, steam room etc for the 2 days so not an issue. Decent serve yourself breakfast with a good variety. Starbucks on site if you prefer, again with friendly staff and good opening hours.

The only minor complaint would be that we were on the second floor and at 6am we could hear the beat of the gym music ...... however that is because the rest of the hotel was so quiet.

The gym, was great. My 'club' room was really nice with a huge walk-in shower and good size bathroom. Lovely big bed, Aircon and ample storage. Phone (talking) signal wasn't good, but that's not the hotel's fault. If being able to call someone, is important it may be better in other parts of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely. I asked for poached eggs and they were perfectly cooked. This will be my go to hotel when working at Lakeside.

Check-in was a faff, because I'd used booking.com and payment hadn't been released or something, so it seemed to take a good 10 mins to sort. After a 5 hour drive, this was not the best.

Room was comfortable, quiet, well appointed, very large en suite, and the shower was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was available from 7:30 at weekends and 6:30 during the week. Plenty of food choice available cereals, drinks, hot English breakfast plus croissants, pain au chocolate and toast. Good selection to set you up for the day. Location was good not far from M27 but still quiet. Ideal for ferry only 15mins drive. Although I didn’t use the gym or pool they were available for an extra charge.

Parking although free at weekend had to be paid for during the week.

so near Portsmouth that where I work so nice. Comfort to get and a small treat for me and my sister nice to spend time together pool and spa was lovely dinner was great big portions of nachos and chicken tenders woo yummy and I paid for late check out so quick and messy and it well worth the bit extra.

only problem I had was the iron board in my room was not very steady was bit scary to put the iron on it very uneven, Your bath towels not very big for a bigger person body when coming out shower that it really.

The room was clean and spacious, check in was easy and the lady I dealt with very helpful. We were arriving in Portsmouth via ferry in the mid to late evening and it is a very convieniently located hotel.

Room design is a little odd, the bathroom is across the far end of the room (including the room) The glass where you can turn it frosted was good, but not having the window in the room does make it feel a little like you are in an inside cabin of a ship or similar. Breakfast was also very good.

Location

We opted for dinner vouchers but did not realise it only covers food not drinks. Ended up paying extra for drinks but left with a food credit I am only able to use at this particular hotel location which means I lose money as I am not planning to go back soon… I think the dinner vouchers are pointless don’t buy it unless you are planning to hog a lot of food.

The room was very well equipped and tidy, albeit with limited storage, so we were grateful to only be staying the one night. The facilities available were extensive - it has a health club (pool, gym, etc), a large bar & restaurant, and a Starbucks on-site, although we didn't really take advantage of any of them, to be fair, so can't say how good or otherwise they were..

It wasn't clear how the parking worked for hotel guests, and the breakfast was a bit disappointing, but couldn't really fault anything else.

Although my stay was brief, the hotel offered a great deal of facilities and the restaurant and bar were very busy which shows it to be a very popular venue.

A little tricky finding the slip road leading to hotel but this was mainly due to poor sat nav instructions. Slip road not signed very well and a problem at night. Unfortunately I didn't get a very good nights sleep owing to the fire alarm going off at 2.30am. According to staff it appears to have been set off by a guest either accidentally or on purpose and wasn't as the result of a malfunction.

Excellent bed and bathroom. The storage facility was poor, a few hangers but not in a closet. Virtually no drawer space. I had a large suitcase and this could only be stored vertically. Clothes such as socks jumpers shirts had virtually nowhere to be stored. It was OK for me as a singleton but for a couple staying 6 days it is not adequate. Breakfast good served efficiently.
