Too many dogs! We are not dog lovers and most of them were well behaved. However we were in danger of tripping over leads and some dogs were allowed to sit on the chairs! It was particularly bad on Sunday because of the numbers so some were barking quite a lot. This is our third time at the Kings Head and we love staying there but I do think you are encouraging dog owners to the detriment of guests like us.

Good location on the town square, nice sized room, perfect bathroom and very clean.

No local parking and terrible public carparks with confusing instruction sating no overnight parking. Had we known in advance we would have booked one of the limited hotel spaces at £15 per night. We were in one of the top floor rooms so had sloping walls which made it a little difficult to use one side of the room. TV wasn't work as it needed tuning but we didn't find out till the morning just before we checked out so couldn't give the hotel a chance to fix it for us.

Particularly liked friendliness of staff and quality of food. Breakfast was ample and varied. Tea, coffee in room good choice. Could have used more milk. -

Would have liked a bedside lamp for reading. Also, for the elderly, somewhere to put a case at convenient height for packing/unpacking. Used bed, but perhaps not ideal. Should have said how elderly I was as 3rd floor minus lift was a little difficult. Perhaps ask at time of booking? Should also have booked your car park as to-ing and fro-ing in the heat was difficult. I don't suppose you can extend your car parking space?

The Superior Double room was fantastic, very clean and well furnished with a lovely view out onto the Market Place of Richmond. The Staff throughout were very friendly and accommodating, even when we were slightly late down for breakfast they treated us well and gave us an excellent friendly service and a lovely breakfast. The Hotel car parking to the rear of the Hotel was very convenient and I would recommend pre-booking a space if you are staying at a busy period.

Very comfortably appointed rooms, to a very high standard. Excellent food, at breakfast, Sunday lunch and dinner. Always my first choice in Richmond. Prices aren't cheap but value is very good. An impressive historic building.

It gets a bit tiresome having given your room number when going into breakfast to then be asked twice more by different staff with varying degrees of impatience, as if they think you've slipped in off the street. This happened to me twice in three days.

Very traditional but not old fashioned. Very spacious corridors - first floor assembly rooms as - Pride and Prejudice Style - quite a gem. Evening meal well cooked generous portions. Breakfast good choice of dishes plus buffet for cereals, juices, toast etc. A far better offering than we gathered from your description ? We stayed one night so £ 15 daily parking charge no problem and no rigid 24 hr cut off when space available. Street parking difficult ! Georgian Theatre your very close and very well done and interesting

Everything, beautiful Hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and it's the best latte I've ever had. The room was spotless and the little touches were welcoming. The bathroom was delightful.

The room was so hot which made it quite uncomfortable, but we managed to open a window. In all fairness the Hotel did provide a fan which was quite noisy so that was a no no. However it wouldn't put us off staying again.

The room was spotless and had great character. Had a deluxe room on the lower floor called the turner room. Turner the painter was rumoured to have stayed in this hotel. The room was spacious with copies of turners artwork of Yorkshire.Enjoyed our stay with a relaxed atmosphere. The bed was so comfortable and large. The room was kept at a good temperature throughout our stay. Breakfast had a good selection of local produce and a variety of choices.

The service could be more organised at times. Staff on the whole friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely old hotel, full of charm, in the centre of the town and very much a part of it. A favourite place to eat for the locals and I had an excellent meal here on the day of my arrival. Limited tight parking spaces but paid parking is available all around. Breakfast was top notch and a great choice for the non "Full English" folk. Best of all, the hotel is in Richmond, what more can you ask?

Room was very comfortable, breakfast was generous and well cooked with good quality ingredients. Had a relaxed feel about it, unobtrusive and not rushed.

Just a tiny thing. Several times, when waiting at an unattended bar for a drink for example, staff walked straight past me, despite me having been there for longer than expected. I would have liked someone to have stopped and helped, instead of waiting for someone else to attend to me. This also happened when waiting to be seated for breakfast. It's not a big thing, but given the efforts made elsewhere to provide comfort and relaxation, this stood out a bit as an area that could do with a little improvement.
