The only thing I didn't love about this room was that I couldn't stay longer! I had a very long, stressful day of travel that left me checking in much later than initially expected and Stephen from The Red Cow was so kind and reassuring that he'd be there when I could make it. He even helped to carry my luggage up the stairs (a few short flights of stairs–not too bad, but keep that in mind). The room was beautiful and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and so nice to sleep in, and the in-room quick breakfast was a welcome addition. The room had a hairdryer, which I appreciated (no diffuser though, just as a head's up to my curly friends), and a stick fan which helped keep things cool. I felt comfortable, safe, and really grateful to stay there.

The bathroom light went out as soon as I turned it on upon arrival, but it was too late in the evening for me to bother Stephen about it. I'm confident that they would have rectified the situation ASAP.

It was a 5 minute walk to the river, close to good cafes and in an area that felt safe. The room was large and airy. The beds were really comfy, with lovely cotton sheets. The towels where lovely and fluffy. The room is above the pub, but this wasn’t a problem as it seemed well soundproofed, ( we were staying on a Monday and Tuesday nights)as were the windows, so we weren’t disturbed by passing traffic. The shower was very good( good amount of pressure and plenty of hot water) The staff where really friendly and welcoming, as were the regulars in the pub. The food available in the pub was amazing,

The bathroom could do with some updating,

The pub is very central and in an excellent location. Room was very clean too and there is a daily cleaning service. Tops is the deli across the road for breakfast :) It's a good stop for a short period to enjoy Richmond, but with good network of trains to easily reach central London. The room was quite small but we were aware of this when we booked.

Needless to say, remember you're over a pub, so if you have trouble sleeping this is not the place for you. It's also on a main road so traffic noise is also heard. Owners are nice, but we were not given much instruction on how to contact them if there was a problem/or for checking out instructions. When we needed to ask something about our window (which seemed broken - but really wasn't) prior to going out at 10am, there was nobody around. We weren't sure what the checkout instructions were and wanted to go for a walk at Richmond park (within walking distance) before leaving. There was nobody around so we left our things in the room and called them at around 12 to ask them on the procedure. They were very accommodating and relaxed about this. :)

Pretty much everything. Johnny, the Landlord was delightful and extremely hospitable when I arrived very late after a dreadful day and difficult journey. Could not wish for a kinder host. Lovely Pub and facilities were well appointed: very comfortable bed, mini fridge with everything for an ample and satisfying Continental Breakfast. I shall stay again!

The only downfall were the twisting high stairs which was more to do with my knee problems than any fault of the property

I really liked it. Within walking distance of Richmond proper, restaurants, shopping, the park, the grocery store, the train. lovely area.. the owner/staff of the bar downstairs were terrific. helped with my luggage, provided me with a cell phone number in case I needed to contact them when the bar was closed. I didn’t need to. Terrific guys. I felt safe and the place was very clean. the mini fridge was stocked and free to use (so packaged goodies for breakfast). The room is over a bar, but the clientele seemed to be grown-ups, not loud or obnoxious. The live band on Sat night played songs from the 80s mostly. I don’t know if that is standard, or if I just got lucky. Covid prevented me from going downstairs, but I really enjoyed the music. yep, it was like being there! they provided a really good fan because of the heat wave. the room was quite large, with two beds one single and one double. Lots of pillows! good cable and Wi-Fi. I never heard a sound from any of the other guest rooms.

well, it *is* over a bar…so don’t rent this room if you expect to be able to get to sleep by 11 pm on a Saturday night. but they did shut it all down around the time they said they would…at a civilized 12:30. my room was on the street and some lights (the lighted sign?) were a little bit of a problem because the heat wave prevented me from closing the windows/curtains…but this is a hotel room in a small city, and these issues were small and unavoidable.

Very good location. Large comfortable bed. The continental breakfast supplied was more than adequate (fridge in the wardrobe). The bar serves Thai and Cambodian food, which is excellent. Very pleasant and helpful staff

There is noise, outside cooling units cut in and out. Aircraft landing at Heathrow are very much a part of Richmond. More coat hooks would be useful.

Staff were so helpful and friendly, the pub had a lovely feel and ambience, the room was spacious and the bed really comfy. A few immediate issues with the room but these were sorted out once brought to the attention of the staff.

The toilet seat was broken, there was black mould in places in the bathroom and the tap was loose on the sink.

Great location close to Richmond centre, easy to find. Very cute pub with great looking food! Really friendly staff who kindly allowed me to get into the room earlier than check-in time Clean and tidy room, no issues

Wasn't entirely sure what the protocol for checking out was, but managed it easily enough when someone arrived :)

The location was great. A 7 minute walk from the tube. Staff we really friendly and let us into our room once it was cleaned as we arrived slightly earlier. They provided basics like water, fresh milk and cereal at no extra cost. Beds were so comfortable especially after our early start and drive from Scotland. So spacious for me and my 2 teenager daughters. Has a hairdressers, dry cleaners, off licence across the road. A pub grub restaurant. 2 place to eat breakfast.

My elderly Mum visited us and the stairs were quite a struggle for her

Great location, good pub, clean and comfortable, good shower, real milk, complimentary breakfast cereals and yoghurt in room fridge.

Room a little small for cost and not one shown in pictures. Noisy, live music until 11.30 and talking until midnight with pub still open, no problem with this but window rattled with passing taffic which is annoying.
