We are frequent visitors to Felixstowe and usually stay with friends but as there were more of us we booked the hotel. The hotel has been recently renovated and was done beautifully. Our room was small but spotless and comfortable. Lovely decor and fresh bathroom. Really nice communal toilets behind reception and lovely restaurant and bar. The staff, in particular Tracey and Dave on reception, were exceptional. Very welcoming and extremely helpful. The owners are lucky to have these two working for them! Tracey went out of her way to make sure we were happy and comfortable with our rooms, as was Dave who popped in on his day off and made a point of stopping to ask how our evening had gone the night before. A credit to hotel management! We stayed 2 days over New Year and have already booked again for this year. Location is great for beach, pier and shops.

Wasn’t overly impressed with the shower in our room - No power and just about warm enough to wash

Great location. Breakfast was brilliant, with a lovely waiter - very friendly and kind.

We had read a few negative reviews and were a little concerned before we arrived. But we had a really positive experience. One small issue - the floors are wooden , no carpets in rooms, which meant after we got to bed our neighbours in the room above us came back to their room and we could hear every footstep. My husband even asked if I thought they were wearing clumpy boots ! I don't think they were, it's an old building so it echoed. Perhaps upstairs guests could remove footwear ......or perhaps invest in rugs and carpets to muffle the sound.

As we booked late, we were given the last remaining room which, although okay, was very dated so we requested to change the room when one became available of which they gladly did and we were given a beautifully refurbished room which exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was superb with them going the extra mile to meet my allergies and staff were extremely helpful and courteous. |Location perfect, easy walk to the sea and town with a very good Turkish restaurant 30yds away although the hotel equally has a fantastic restaurant. Parking easy too.

Nothing!!

Stayed here when it was Best Western , the place is unrecognisable to how it was then. Room was pleasant and clean toiletries and bottles of water provided in the room. The best aspect was the friendliness of all the staff. Nice to enjoy a drink in the bar after work on a sunny day and also ate in there as well which was nice.

It doesn't actually say Hotel entrance where you enter from outside it's all "Marco Pierre White"signing so its a bit confusing. I went in via the attached pub round the corner. Breakfast was nice not keen on sausages, on second day had eggs Benedict produce was good but sauce was really watery.

Lovely room, which was very large and comfy (201). The bathroom was good, but there was no bath. It faced the front but was quiet and peaceful. The receptionist was very polite and helpful, and he helped me get a reservation in the restaurant. He was not aware of what was happening with the pub that evening. The Marco Pierre White restaurant was very nice, if a bit expensive. Hopefully, the pub is more reasonably priced.

There are no instructions for the coffee machine. The kettle was plugged in under a shelf almost at floor level. I was not able to move it easily. The kettle was very difficult to fill as it didn't fit under the tap in the bathroom. The room was not carpeted, so it was rather echoy. I also missed a rack to unpack my suitcase. I asked at reception and they said I should use the desk! I was using the desk to do my hair and make-up and as a desk! There are no fire information signs on the back of the bedroom door. I am under the impression that these are legally required. There was no information about the dining options in the room.

The manager Andrew was very attentive, he went out of his way to make us welcome and made our stay very enjoyable, he was very professional but also friendly and approachable at the same time, he arranged for chef to prepare a meal for us late in the evening even though kitchen was closing. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious, well cooked and presented, definitely the best scrambled egg I have ever had !! I'd go back just for the breakfast but I also cannot fault the excellent hospitality from manager and all the staff.

Room was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. They are currently refurbishing whole hotel and if the standard is in keeping with other areas in the hotel then it will be stunning,

This hotel is virtually unrecognisable following its recent transformation into the Coco Hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and furnished making it a welcoming place to stay. The dining room is now very modern looking and a nice place to eat. The breakfast portions are generous and nicely prepared and presented.

It's disappointing now that dogs are no longer welcome following the revamp but this is understandable given the quality of the materials used.

From checking in and to checking out all was perfect, we are a large family on a tight budget and we fully enjoyed our time. All staff ! Were kind and helpful , food was absolutely amazing in the bar dinner section, able to see clearly for allergies and felt very comfortable. I would be happy to return and I would come back as a couple or a family, lovely high street near by and beach a short walk, although a hill is involved taking your time helps. Arcades, shops, beach and restaurants all sorts of activities

About the hotel I can NOT find a fault Of the area, the one hill haha

The staff were really nice - Beccy on Reception, Kelly in the bar, the waiter and chef in the restaurant. All friendly and cheerful. Dogs accepted in some rooms. Location - near to beach, pier, shops (great bookshop), cafes and restaurants. Great carvery on some days.

Paying £15 for one night stay for my miniature-size non-moulting dog. He has stayed 12 times previously, with no complaints about him.
