Room The rooms are converted from a larger house so the dimensions are a bit weird but fully functional. Very clean throughout. The ones facing the street looks out onto the wooded Kelvin Walk so nice and quiet too. Bathrooms are quite modern and very clean. Had an issue with water draining slowly in the shower but that was an issue with the main road drain outside rather than with the hotel. Just to note that the busy Great Western Road runs close to the hotel so if you are a light sleeper bring some earplugs. Location Location is superb. Cross the street, go down the Kelvin Walk, cross the Victorian bridge and you are up in the Botanic Gardens. Cost of taxi from Central Station is around £9-10. Hillhead tube is 200m down on Byers road and handy for getting into town. Also very handy for all the pubs along either Great Western Road or Byers Road. You can also follow the beautiful river walk all the way round and come up outside Kelvingrove Museum. I have stayed in many hotels/B&Bs in the West End and this is by far the best value for money. Food I didn't get breakfast at the hotel as I knew there were plenty of places to eat on Byers road. Especially Old Salty's. Ashton Lane is fantastic for dinners and lunches. Staff Only had some quick interactions with the staff who were all super friendly, especially Sam who helped me check in and switched the room for me as the first one had a window blocked by a wall.
Because the rooms are partitioned, you might get a noisy guest next door who decide to watch TV loudly in the middle of the night and the walls won't block it very well. Squeaky floorboards above could also be annoying, but nothing a pair of earplugs can't sort out! This is quite usual for older properties like this.

We loved the charme of this hotel, staff was very kind and attentive. Front desk provided us with parking tickets for a small fee which was nothing in comparison to the actual fees to be paid every 4 hours at the machine. The rooms were small (which we expected) and practically equipped. Everything was clean and functional. The bus stop to the city centre is on the other side of the botanical garden, so within walking distance which was great. Breakfast was ok in order to get your day started. They serve full Scottish breakfast.
No curtains at the windows only blinds. No suitcase rack.

Style of Hotel was stunning with modernisation done tastefully, reflecting the heritage of building. Location was perfect with beautiful river walks onthe doorstep as well as Glasgows Botalical garden. Shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. My Room was located on top floor overlooking the roof, but this was not a problem as I didn't book for a view. If anything this made the room quieter than if it had been facing the street. For a stunning view you only need to step outside, which I did 😊 Staff i encountered were helpful and friendly. What more can you ask for.
I was wakened during night by a tapping noise which on investigation had been an aerial cable that had come loose on the roof. These things happen, especially as the wind had been strong during the night and not something hotel's can address until it happens. This would not effect my view of the hotel or stop me from returning.

The person behind the front desk, David, was very professional and helpful. He would call me a cab, and they came quickly. The breakfast was also very good. And the location on a quiet street beside the River Kelvin was nice. There was a lovely park right across the street where you could walk for miles along the river. And it was close to the University.
No air conditioning during a hot spell - my tiny attic room heated up probably more than the other rooms in this situation. But the hotel had supplied a fan, which made a difference.

Location was perfect for our visit. The parking is at the rear of the property which would have been useful knowing beforehand. Had to call the hotel when we arrived to find out where it was. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The room and en suite were decorated nicely, to a high standard and the bed was comfy.
Considering the price I paid, I would have liked to have had proper little bottles of shampoo and conditioner. All that was provided was soap in a dispenser. The walls were a little thin and I could hear the people in the neighbouring room talking and their tap/toilet. To be expected sometimes though I suppose.

Friendly staff, location suitable for my needs this trip, Car park is small (6 maximum) but during my stay was never full. Single room is small but had a chair and small table; also a place to put a travel case. Good modern electric shower in the ensuite.
Confusion on booking.com re breakfast, unable to state exactly when I intended to arrive. Lack of insulation meant I could hear doors closing in other rooms. Access to car park is via very roughly cobbled dead end lane. Water pressure in ensuite tap low but usable.

The location was excellent for the Botanic Gardens, Byres Rd and getting into central Glasgow. The staff were most helpful and friendly. A smallish hotel, but with pleasant, quiet rooms; the breakfast was well prepared and offered good variety
Having to use a drinks machine at breakfast, when an individual caffetiere would have been far better. The shower facility was fairly basic, but replaced by a much better model on the day we left.

The location was good for Glasgow west end. The room was large, with a lovely big bay window, It had a kitchen area and modern shower room. The beds were comfy - 1 double and 1 single. Everything we needed was in the room. Breakfast was good plenty of choices for everyone. Car park at the rear was great. Small table and chairs and comfortable settee.
The staff at breakfast were very noisy when re-setting tables - banging cupboard doors continually.

Very nicely decorated, huge room with super king sized bed and boutique style padded headboard, separate sunny entrance hall with table and chairs in a lovely period property, Spotlessly clean throughout with good heating. Nice friendly welcome, free secure parking to rear, Modern spotlessly clean room and shower room. I was blown away by how nice this was for the price.
Unfortunately the shower for myself and my colleague who stayed in an identically lovely room, was stone cold no matter what we did to try to alter the tap position. I mentioned this to the receptionist at breakfast on our one night stay who assured me she would look into this for future guests. Bath sheets rather than towels and better quality coffee tea chocolate biscuit options on the tea tray would be really good. Over all excellent, friendly nicely decorated, spotlessly clean, would love to stay again soon

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, and we found the bed to be very comfortable. I liked the amount of mirrors, especially the one that allowed for me to sit at the desk and do my make up and hair in natural lighting. Also, a great location for the West End of Glasgow.
The walls were a bit thin so we could hear the conversations of the lads in the next room. I had ear plugs with me though so it wasn't too much bother.
