Every staff member we interacted with were very friendly and lovely, especially Irene (sorry if I misspelt their name) she was very engaging when we checked in and out, her customer service is exceptional and an asset to the team. Our room was very good, we were tucked away but that just meant we didn't have any loud customers going past our door.

There wasn't much we disliked, nothing that the hotel could do anything about anyway so can't hold that against it. (The car park across the road we got a discount on from getting parking validated does have a lift but it's not sign posted great FYI! It's located in the stairwell closest to the hotel/street) ((the take away places always tried to deliver down the road, we had to walk out the front of the hotel to flag them down despite us adding the info to the notes part of the delivery thing. Possibly because the hotel doesn't have a drop off area since it's right on a junction))

Great value for money. Very central location. Very friendly and welcoming receptionist. Loved the double functioning door allowing toilet to be used by one person while rest of bathroom could be used by the other. Great idea! Nice comfy seat in room.

Hairdryer provided but only mirror apart from bathroom was full length one opposite bathroom door and nearest socket was too far to plug in any appliance so had to dry hair flying blind. Only other slight criticism was breakfast room seemed too small and crowded for the amount of people, one of the toasters wasn’t working and they were running out of hot food very quickly so I had to wait and go back for bacon and by then my egg was cold.

The hotel was absolutely spotless. The staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local attractions. Laura met us on arrival and took ownership of our stay as our point of contact, nothing was too much trouble. The bed was super comfy and the heating wasn't blasting in our room on arrival, rather it was left to us to decide on the temperature - BIG TICK FROM US!! Many other hotels we've visited have thought that a hot room was a welcoming room, but generally takes hours to dissipate the heat to a comfortable level for us. Breakfast was a wonderful experience. Great selection of continental and cooked items, fresh juices, tea and coffee. But the staff were what made it such an amazing experience, always on hand with a smile and warm greeting to assist you in any way they could. The breakfast items were replenished without fuss or loss - everything was always available, fresh and delicious. The tables, plates and cups were cleared and cleaned efficiently and unobtrusively. It really was a marvel. Military precision with a smile The central location meant we were in the heart of the city with all its fantastic experiences on the doorstep. We will most certainly be back, and I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff are. They truly made our visit the relaxing break we hoped for. Well done one and all!! See you again soon.

The only thing I can put in this box is that unfortunately, we only booked one night. Next time we won't make this mistake.

Small table associated with chair in the room was wobbly TV sockets for HDMI cable hard to reach as TV is stuck into the wall with said sockets inaccessibly tucked inside left instead of being at the bottom Radiator location should always be in the main body of the room rather positioned next to the bed Breakfast wasn't great....bacon seemed boiled and flabby rather than fried - scrambled egg seemed high on milk content - with no flexibility for staff to offer fried eggs instead (not great for anyone who's lactose-intolerant) Muesli/granola was too sugary

Thi was my third stay in this hotel, each time for just a single night. It's a great location, convenient for public transport, with very helpful staff and a good breakfast - though the dining room is always really busy. The room was warm, comfortable and quieter than I was expecting, as it was on the first floor, the same floor as the breakfast room.

I booked online at the last minute a standard room and had clicked on a double bed for single person use, the room being priced at £78. A twin bedded room was priced at £67, if I remember correctly. After confirming the booking, I received an email saying bed type couldn't be guaranteed and, upon arrival, I was allocated a twin - bedded room. The receptionist told me that the booking had come through from Booking.com as a twin - bedded room, not a double bedded room, and no double bedded rooms were available, which I accepted. I do feel that it wasn't made clear to me BEFORE I confirmed the booking that I might not get the bed type I wanted. If it had, I would have booked the cheaper twin bedded option in the first place and saved myself some money.

Very handy for the event we were attending. The rooms although a little small were very clean and well kept. The breakfast was a bit of a faff but that’s just because it was busy.

The small bar could be better it there was a means of having tea or coffee instead of having to walk to the next Holiday Inn, even though it was just up the road a little way. The lifts were rather slow and it was quite difficult for the wheelchair when they decided to have them serviced right on checkout time! (We know they do need serviced though). These are not complaints they are simply our observations.

Second complaint ,toilet has raised area for shower no rail to grab this was mentioned to staff on first visit not been addressed ,bed settee no room to do bathroom visits once settee is down for other guests in room ,Quilt on bed settee had odour of smoke ,handed to staff in morning ,as was late going to bed ,slept with bedsheets on ,first visit complained about noise from back room as demolition was ongoing ,offered nothing ,staff smoking back door noisy throughout night opening closing of door

Breakfast although very busy during to finish time allocation set by hotel was excellent and staff worked so hard. Location so a credible for travellers but was pity it was actually incorrect hotel as thought it was Holidsy Inn which had previously stayed at - with lovely lounge and restaurant. In this hotel no restaurant and lounge area limited so had to go out for these facilities . This hotel however did suit our needs for this visit and very perfect for workers or one night stopover but for longer visitor would require facilities already mentioned that we had to ho out for. Booking company need to differentiate between these 2 Hotels!!!!! Other hotel said this has happens constantly but to be honest it is only this lack.of those facilities which was disappointing as hotel was good for this trip and couldn't fault although when we returned after might out it actually looked closed so bit anxious using access card to get in as often these cards can be faulty.

The whole place was immaculate ,my king - room was large bed was huge comfortable , &everything was there, shower,television, & clean towels & bedding .A fan for cooling down ,also was warm & cosy .The breakfast was really good variety well cooked & plenty to eat .Would definately recommend to others also was very near bus station & easy access to find .xxx

At breakfast a good few people took bigger tables & this meant the people who were in bigger groups like myself with daughter,son inlaw & 2 grandkids we had to go in other room ,but not a big problem as was quite nice having the privacy .x

Cooked breakfast good. Lifts worked well. Soap (Dove) good. Reception well positioned (unlike Premier). Booking in/out was quick.

Continental breakfast was virtually non-existant (no meats or cheeses), when we are supposed to be encouraging better eating! Only 2 of 4 jam holders had any content. One girl was good at checking quantities (excluding jam), the other was hopeless; merely coming out of kitchen, walk length of counter and without doing any checks disappears again! Told reception that overall I was pleased, but explained about lack of Continental breakfast. Told that this was Holiday Inn Express policy!
