Hamilton is very convenient for access to Glasgow by train and Arron House is only a 10 minute walk from the station. The house is very clean and tidy and the host very hospitable. The bedroom is spacious and we had a private bathroom, albeit via the hallway, ie it's not en-suite. The shower was good but you only get a trickle of water from the tap in the sink - not the best if like me you wet shave! We liked the fact you could park off road and compared with other similar accommodation Arron House is good value for money.

Most of the gripes are minor, and I probably should've checked the confirmation details with a bit more care. The main page on booking.com refers to Arron House as a 3 star bed and breakfast. It also goes on to say that the bed and breakfast features a flat-screen TV and George Square is 22 km from the bed and breakfast. This B&B does not serve breakfast, which if you read the booking details it confirms: There is no meal option with this room. However, there doesn't appear to be any option that includes breakfast! It also says on the site that it's non-smoking, at least one resident was smoking on our first night.

Excellent host. Excellent location near the centre of Hamilton, Hamilton West train station.is only a 10 min walk. Quiet location within walking distance of several bars, restaurants etc. Irene was always available when needed. Excellent value for money. I would highly recommend it. Town Hall near the property has many theatrical shows on. Bombay Cottage Indian restaurant 2 min walk albeit public transport nearby if required. Retail parks close by with every shop you could possibly need. Irene was a fantastic host.

I couldn't fault it for excellent value and location.

What a nice place and fantastic location, very close to the shops, bar's and restaurant's but still feels like your in the country when in your room with the sound of the bird's from the wooded are near by, The house is in a lovely area and there's space for parking, A lovely worm welcome from my host as I was show round my large room with the normal tea and coffee stuff, tv and evan a fridge, good size bathroom with a nice shower, I had a really good sleep in one of the two single beds which were in the room, I had everything I needed for a lovely stay over and would definitely stay there again. Nice room in a small B&B. The owner was very helpful and kind. Useful location in central Hamilton.

Nothing at all wrong with the B&B; I'll look to book there again.

The facilities were clean and well kept.

I had a terrible trip up & missed the first night, turning up with no more than three & a half hours sleep in forty eight hours. The lady was obviously non plussed but after the explanation, couldn’t have been sweeter. I slept almost all the first day and night in a wonderful, cosy room and she was constantly helpful and as warm and friendly as her lovely dog Jools. Lovely area too, with nice walks and very warm locals. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

The property was in an excellent location and the owner was very helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money and it exceeded all other properties in terms of the value. The only downside was that the bed was not comfortable.

The only thing I didn't like was the bed. I can only suggest a new mattress or a mattress topper. Nothing else to add.

Made to feel very welcome from my arrival and throughout my stay. Room was very spacious with an en suite bathroom / shower. Fantastic location with great selection of restaurants close by as well as asda only 10 mins walk for all your supplies. The owner is always around and very approachable and great for chat.

The room could be doing with some thick curtains to keep out the drafts coiming from the wooden frame windows at either side the room.

It's ideal place to stay for exploring inner and outer areas of Glasgow. Lovely friendly host,and so was the friendly dog,loved a fuss. 10-15 walk to bus station,rail etc. Standard rooms comfortable beds,and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Ideal for our stay, great value and would stay again.

Sounds from outside prominent, but we not use to town noise, just something to be aware of.
