Good sized room , nice bright decor and comfy bed . Exceptionally clean with good sized towels . Also great choice of breakfast , i would recommend the smoked haddock omelette it was fab, also with some extras on the side . It felt like a home from home with very friendly staff making sure i was well looked after , thank you to the Parkville i will definitely be back .

The room could do with some more storage space and more coat hangers in the wardrobe as i was there for over a week it was very limited . The tea , coffee and hot chocolate were replenished every day which was great adding a couple of biscuits would have been nice touch or a bit of fruit

I have stayed there many times and always very happy with staying at the Parkville. Very friendly support staff, also had a family lunch there which was superb. Great atmospher and overall a lovely place.

Unfortunately during my stay I found out that the Parkville is unmanned at night and I do have a problem with this. I was shocked to learn this and I feel this needs to be addressed and I also want to highlight that to future guests. I certainly will not stay in a place that is unmanned at night.

Clearly in the back of nowhere-but this gastro pub / hotel - wedding value- is exceedingly good. I stay globally and I would return in a heartbeat. Room, food, ambience and staff excellent and I strongly advise everybody to give this place a go - exceptionally good for the price and I had a truly memorable stay

Nothing ! Although they had run out of some of my favourite wines - please note wine list extremely well priced

clean rooms with good quality fixtures and fittings.

staff where pleasant although could have given more information on arrival I.e breakfast times (I had to check it was definitely included as the signage and guest information say it’s only available Saturday and Sunday), and wether I wanted to eat in the restaurant that evening. wasn’t sure about the entry and exits as I entered through the bar area and wasn’t told what to do after the bar had closed.

I had water to drink and a plain omelette- see below for explanation. Husband enjoyed the full Scottish breakfast.

No decaffeinated tea or marmalade for breakfast. The washbasin in the en-suite was so small, could hardly get two hands in. I had to stand on a towel in the shower as the base was very slippery and there was nothing to hold on to; not good for anyone with mobility and/or balance problems.

This is the second time I have stayed and it is clean, each time I have had a nicely appointed bedroom, comfy bed and good food in the popular restaurant downstairs in the evening, reasonably priced for the quality. Decent shower and nice toiletries.

This is a restaurant with rooms. There is no reception, no breakfast in the week and you let yourself out of the fire exit in the morning. As you can see I have returned and that’s because the rooms are so nice and great value. But do be aware this is not a hotel as such. I am in my late 50’s and on both occasions when I stayed I have had 3 bags to get up the stairs. Although I was shown to my room on each stay by a friendly person from the restaurant, no offers of assistance with baggage were given.

Single room was small but cosy with everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfy and not a single, but a 3/4 size, so bigger than expected for a single room! Staff were lovely and the food was amazing and good value. No wonder the restaurant was packed out every night! Lovely bar too with excellent beer. Safe parking on site. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff went above and beyond in a weekend that saw problems with their internet and a leaky roof. We were offered apologies from reception, restaurant and housekeeping staff and we were given a lovely breakfast as compensation for the inconvenience. The problems were out of the control of the workers but they went above and beyond for their customers. The owners should be proud of their staff.

Lovely spacious room decorated to a high standard with a fantastic shower. All staff we met were very friendly and hospitable. Enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant.

Guest info in the room stated breakfast only available Saturday & Sunday. On checking out, we noticed the key card wallet states breakfast is available everyday, however we were already too late and had missed breakfast.

Very popular restaurant, and rightly so. Food and staff service was excellent, and if you do stay here I would highly recommend an evening meal. Room was clean and functional, bathroom a little small, but on the whole a good stay

.This is essentially a restaurant which offers rooms as well, it is not really a full hotel. There was some confusion and slowness during the booking in process on arrival, despite having being prompted to complete an advance registration card. Also to be told that there was no breakfast available was disappointing, as this is a standard feature you expect at any establishment claiming to be a hotel; advance notice in this respect would have been appreciated as it was difficult to make other arrangements at short notice, particularly in view of the poor weather that prevail
