The Jenny Lind is a lovely characterful pub with friendly staff. The location on the old High Street means you are based in a really interesting area. It is a stones throw from the beach, restaurants and other features of Hastings. We travelled by train, so it was a straightforward walk from the station. The bedroom was lovely with big windows with views of the sea in the distance. Cosy court yard gardens are great to sit for a few hours. It was also very good value for money. We will definitely return.

Nothing. The accommodation was just as described in the text and photos. We enjoyed it just as it was.

If your visiting hastings for the full vibe it has to offer, jenny lind suits. Over two nights, saw three bands play at the bar down stairs which is what I was hoping for. I normally stay in a different hotel/bar for this reason. The old town is always a good spot if the aim of your trip is see hastings and what it has to offer. All the staff I spoke to in bar and up in hotel were lovely. Great location

If i was going to pick holes, the shower room is a bit run down, but the price I paid was very fair so don't feel hard done by, it was clean which is more important.

A charming building with rooms beautifully refurbished. All the necessary perks for a long spring weekend with children. The bathtub was a highlight, as we each took long, relaxing soaks! Breakfast across the tiny street at the Green Ginger Garden was memorable. We felt very well looked after. The location is unbeatable - right on the high street and minutes away from George street and the beach. Lots to see, do, buy and visit.

The Inn wifi had no coverage in the room (room 1), and the 4G in the area was very poor, I imagine this being a widespread issue not just for the Jenny Lind but across Hastings old town in general. There was noise from the street at night but nothing you can’t manage with a good pair of ear plugs. The bands playing at the pub were amazing. Full Oasis throwback time!

Excellent location in the Old Town. Easy walking (2 minutes) distance to George Street (restaurants/pubs) the Pier/New Town, the beach front and to the fisherman's quarter. Although the accomodation is above a Pub the (mid week) evenings I stayed were generally quiet and (Seb) and the staff in general were polite and helpful. Thumbs up to the cleaners too as my room was immaculate

Little niggles were that the small fridge was a bit noisy as were my neighbours (who spoke loudly) in the bedroom next door. (Thin walls?) None or very limited parking in the Old Town so be prepared for a shortish walk to the Jenny Lind

I arrived ready to check in and quite soaked from a recent deluge that hit whilst I walked to short jaunt to the location. Alas, they said that due to unforeseen circumstances, my room was not yet ready, but would I be willing to wait about 20 minutes while enjoying an adult beverage on the house as consolation? Yes, I was happy to wait. The staff were super charming, accommodating, and helpful. The room, once it was ready, was everything I wanted and more. It had a wardrobe full of things one might want - a fan, a heater, a safe, a hair dryer, an extra blanket, hangers, a long mirror. It had a clean bathroom with soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a powerful shower. The bath towel was big enough for an adult body. The bed was comfortable, snug, and warm. There was a lovely wee alcove by the bed wherein was a handy outlet for my charging, and a wee lamp for nighttime reading. The desk/counter had a lead with 5 extra outlets on it. There was a mini fridge with bottled water and milk for the tea and coffee fixings. The kettle had been recently descaled. The remote worked. There was a lovely booklet with information of importance and local knowledge. There was a torch hanging on the door, in case of a power outage. There was a lovely wee bowl of potpourri that looked classy but didn't smell strongly (bonus!). I'll definitely be back to this dreamy place.

Not one thing.

The ground floor pub is the reception and we were greeted with a lovely smile. We stayed a clean room with views of Hastings Castle. It was close to the town centre and convenient for restaurants and shopping. The pub on Friday night very posh musicians played good sound, which we enjoyed over a beer.

Very little, but the only problem was that the heating had stopped at night, so the room was so cold until morning.

A very warm welcome from the staff. Room was very well supplied including with fresh milk and bottles of spring water in the fridge, heater, fan and hairdryer in the wardrobe. Breakfast in the Land of Green Ginger over the road was absolutely delicious - best cooked breakfast I've had on ages!

Couldn't connect to the free WiFi, but staff had offered to help if it was a problem and we didn't get round to asking them, so can't complain!

Train strikes meant I couldn't go to Hastings when I had originally planned. Despite being passed the point of free cancellation, the team at the Jenny Lind moved my booking to another day at no extra charge so I could come at a different time. They were incredibly helpful and I really appreciated the effort they went to ensure I could still have my stay. The room itself was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Location was incredibly convenient and it was really easy to find (in fact i stumbled across it when I was barely looking!).

It is above a pub and there was live music on the night of my stay. The walls were also a little thin so if you're a light sleeper, you may have trouble. The shower was a little weak but nothing I couldn't live with.

At heart of the town - a bit of a walk from the bus/train stop(10min by cab). Good eateries, antique shops, tourist sites around. Hassle free entry and exit - away from the Pub entrance. No breakfast with our booking. Food at the pub was good.

Very tiny attachecd bathroom. Old building - so lack of windows - but was nice otherwise. Otherwise, nothing much!

gem of a place, all the staff we met were very friendly and accommodating, room was spotlessly clean and we had water and biscuits and a well stocked tea tray awaiting us, don’t understand why this property is only an 8, it’s everything and more you could need, close to all amenities too and just a stones throw from the sea front, the pub is well stocked with a selection of ales and a beautiful garden out back to relax in, street food was amazing too and we were lucky enough to see a shanty band too which was fab we loved it, thank you guys for a lovely stay

nothing it was all good, parking is a bit of an issue as it’s quite a walk from the pub if mobility is an issue, but that’s nothing to do with the pub🙂
