Everything. The manse itself is all you’d expect it to be and more besides. Beautifully well-presented and tastefully (and thoughtfully) appointed - and in a lovely setting that perfectly suits the building itself.
Nothing. There wasn’t anything to dislike. Hidden away in a magical little valley, the Old Manse is a truly wonderful and tranquil place to stay.

Location is stunning. Tucked out of the way. Hosts very welcoming, dogs and cats were too. Home from home with a lovely nod to times when people lived in a more elegant way. Immaculately clean. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Great attention to detail and personal touches. We really were guests in their home. Fab breakfast. Helpful advice when sought. All in all we had 3 very relaxing days and nights, and left rested and recharged. Thank you.

House and location are superb = very comfortable. Paul was a very engaging host, knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast was very good - very tasty free range eggs especially enjoyed!
As a lovely old house with old plumbing, the shower could have been better - fairly weak flow, not very warm water. (Better the second time though, so maybe it was just us!)

This is one of the most loveliest bed and breakfasts set in fabulous surroundings. The host Paul was delightful .We had tea and home made cake on arrival (delicious and oh so quite essentially British given it was the Queens jubilee. ) Parking great. Our room was beautiful with a huge bathroom . Our room overlooked the river. Plenty of places to choose to go and eat in nearby towns , but , you can if you choose and weather permitting have a picnic in the beautiful garden .Great nights sleep. Visit completed with a great breakfast all produce locally sauced and home made. (Gooseberry and apple compote lush ) A really lovely stay . Thank you .
There was nothing to dislike.

The very friendly hosts, Paul and Stuart. The amazing breakfasts. The fact that nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room had a very large bed which was so amazingly comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. We were so in love with our room that we never switched the TV on once, which is a bit unusual for us. We had no idea what was happening in the wide world. We both enjoyed playing with Margot and Zelda the two gorgeous dogs.

Welcoming, friendly hosts, good sized room with comfy bed, large bathroom, homemade treats to have with tea/coffee. Scrumptious breakfasts. Separate guest lounge for reading/relaxing. Loved hearing the flow of the river.
Really enjoyed our stay … if we were being picky the tv was very small and not ‘smart’.

We had a very warm welcome from Paul, who was the perfect host, the house is beautiful in every way, the breakfast was very good, our room was very nice & the bed was really comfortable. Paul had thought of everything a guest would need while staying here, the attantion to detail and facilities were amazing. We will definately return if we need accomadation in this area again.

A beautiful B&B in a rural location but only 10mins by car to Jedburgh. Beautiful decor, fabulously comfy bed and delicious breakfast. The owners Stuart and Paul were perfect hosts. They were friendly and very accommodating when we needed to amend our booking at the last minute to bring our son. I would highly recommend for a peaceful, and very comfortable break away.

A really lovely, peaceful & tranquil visit. The hosts are really kind. We stayed during the hottest of hot times & Paul was so thoughtful & really kind. There are some really great cycle rides Highly recommend. But book direct !
The price charged by Booking.com was way more expensive than if we had booked direct.

Outstanding B&B - from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we loved it! Stuart and Paul are superb hosts and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Before we arrived they sent a list of restaurant recommendations and off the back of that we booked the Deneholm Meet and Stewarts Bistro the night after which were both excellent and definitely recommend them! The B&B itself is set in stunning surroundings and is traditionally furnished, the rooms very comfortable and clean. The cooked breakfast was top notch as well - all in it was a perfect stay and we can't wait to go again - yes it really was very good!
Nothing! It could not have been better.
