A super short stay on a working farm in beautiful surroundings. The farm was well signposted and there was good parking for our car. There is a small lounge for guests on entering the farmhouse. Our room was on the first floor. On a soggy drizzly day it was good to find the room warm and welcoming. There was ample tea coffee and hot chocolate and apart from the wifi, everything worked as it should. The bed was very comfortable. The following morning we were treated to a wonderful proper farmhouse breakfast, with home made produce and ample choice. Elizabeth was a lovely welcoming host. We would definitely return.

Everything - I go for a night every year en route to family in Scotland & it's like arriving at home. Lovely, warm host family, wonderful location - the surrounding scenery/wildlife/farm environment, & perfect location for my onward journey. Delicious homely farm-fresh breakfasts - at communal tables for very delightful interractions with other guests: I was very struck by that on my first visit. Elizabeth has even been a tender counsellor once when I arrived in a state of great personal distress. I could not rate Rye Hill Farm more highly. It's connected as well to my own deep historic roots in Hexham area.

Rural Idyll, absolutely nothing around this farm apart from a small campsite. Lovely an quiet. Village pub (the Rose and Crown) only 2 minutes drive away though and they serve tasty evening meals. Lots of parking in the farmyard and the room we had was spotlessly clean. Wonderfully comfortable double bed and it was so nice to have a bath rather than just a shower in the bathroom. No issues with the Wi-Fi connection and the host was welcoming and kind.

Cooked breakfast was very good rather than superb. We personally didn't like having to share the table with other guests.

We liked the excellent provision in a peaceful location within easy reach of main routes. The room was clean and comfortable with ensuite facilities and there was a lovely sitting area downstairs for guests. The hostess was very welcoming and provided an excellent breakfast choice including an outstanding full English. The sitting area in the garden was lovely catching the evening sun. This was an ideal place for a single night stopover but equally would have suited us for a longer stay in such a beautiful area.

No issues at all. We recommend this farm accommodation. We would also advise future visitors to follow the written directions rather than relying on SatNav.

Elizabeth was extremely welcoming and friendly. The views were absolutely stunning. We loved hearing the sheep/lambs and seeing the horses. I personally loved my 1st ever experience of bottle feeding a lamb 😍 x the beds were super comfy. We will definitely be coming back but next time it will be just myself and my partner. We didn't want to come home to all the noise and pollution of the traffic. My partner and I could really see ourselves living somewhere like this when he retires in about 20 years or so. Thank u so much once again Elizabeth xxx

Rye Hill Farm is a lovely B&B! A little rough around the edges, but that's what you'd expect from a rural location. The setting is really quirky and it was so nice to be able to walk around a working farm - definitely a first for us! The bedroom and bathroom was on the small side but had absolutely everything we needed. As for the breakfast - it was fantastic. Freshly made with fresh eggs from the farm - plus freshly made bread - what more could you ask for?

Rooms were on the small side and a bit rough around the edges - it really didn't bother us at all as it all added to the feel of the place. Curtains in the room meant we had an early start with the light but again, I'm only pointing this out if its something that bothers you.

We were met be the owner and shown were to come for breakfast and given advice on evening dining in the area The room was in a converted steading type property and our room overlooked a beautifully kept garden. The room had a lovely bathroom and shower, comfy bed. There was a kettle with biscuits and a good amount of tea/coffee and also hot chocolate. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order. There was also yogurts & cereals, with fresh raspberry's from the garden and homemade bread available.

I have nothing negative to say.

Beautiful location lovely for walking. Plenty of choice for breakfast and promptly served. Very spacious room and very comfortable.

I would have preferred a ground floor room because we were travelling with a dog. The breakfast was lovely but only one thin sausage and one slice of bacon on the full breakfast. Website stated a couple of pubs for something to eat, one of the pubs has closed down. The other pub was full. This is a very remote venue and they should recommend booking a meal on the website prior to arrival.

Rye hill was well situated for where I needed to be. The welcome was friendly and the accommodation clean and comfortable. On site parking was available. The bedroom and ensuite suited my needs and both were well kept. The bed was very comfortable. A good choicd of cereals, bread, fruit and condiments and spreads were offered and the cooked breakfast tasty. Checkout was easy and efficient.

Personally, I would have preferred dogs to not have been allowed in the breakfast room. Anywhere else, but not where I'm eating.

I called ahead to ask about early arrival and was told it was fine. I gave an estimate for my arrival and was greeted by a lovely lady and shown my beautiful room. Everything was spotless and so so comfy. I slept like a log in the silence of the somewhat remote old farmhouse and awoke to the smell of breakfast. And what a breakfast. Different breads and preserves and cereal followed by a beautiful very large cooked plate of plenty. Very highly recommended.

The only thing I didn't like was leaving 😭
