An immaculate bed and breakfast. Innovative use of space for showering. The wet room was large, the shower was powerful. Fluffy white towels and dressing gowns provided along with top quality shower, hair, soap and body lotions. Paula and Steve are the perfect hosts.... warm and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Paula's breakfasts were amazing and very plentiful. We had our breakfast in the garden sitting area, which was delightful, looking onto Hall Garth Park and next to the church. We had the best nights sleep. The bed was so comfy and the white cotton bedding was lovely. Darceys in the yard has parking behind a locked gate and is in the centre of the town. Everything was within walking distance. We couldn't believe how quiet and peaceful it was being in the town.We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back. Thankyou Paula and Steve

Accommodation is close to amenities, but very quiet. Restaurants, pubs, take away and shops are only a short walk. While not large, everything is taken care of and ideal for a place to stay if you intend going out during the day. Your hosts Paula and Steve are attentive and I would say beyond helpful to make sure you have a great stay, but leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet. If you're looking for partying, this is not the place. If you need downtime to recharge, stop and let the world go by then this is it.

We had a great stay here for 2 nights. Loved the boutique styling, all of the facilities and excellent breakfasts served to the room. It is peaceful and quiet with attentive and friendly hosts who looked after our every need. The room opens out onto a beautiful private garden area with views of the church and the park which we loved. Location is excellent for all of Hornsea and surrounding area. Excellent all round!

There was nothing to dislike; the property is true to the advertising but in reality it surpassed our expectations because of the efforts of the owners to make us welcome and feel weĺl looked after. Great place to stay in Hornsea

We received a really warm welcome from our host. The room is beautiful with a lot of attention to detail. Paula was keen to make sure that we would be comfortable, and asked if there was anything else she could provide us with. A very full breakfast was left for us at the time we requested. If we return to the area, we would hope to stay again.

The bathroom is small but beautifully appointed. I particularly liked the waterfall shower option, and there was no waiting for the water to reach a suitable temperature. The downside was that the toilet does get wet as it is right next to the shower, and access to it after a shower is soggy. Paula did explain this situation though and we managed just fine.

The decor, garden, staff, and position were all superb. Close to restaurants and town centre. The room was warm and bed was comforyable. Loved the small breakfast table in the room and the excellent continental breakfast just made the whole stay brilliant will certainly be going again. The lights remote controlled plus the garden lights crested a wonderful ambience. Also the bottle of prosecco was a great added bonus.

Just difficult to quickly turn on to the property due to trafgic lights but easily ivercome

The property was perfect for our stay, right in the centre of Hornsea. Loved going back to our room at the end of the day, nice cosy and quirky. The toiletries were a nice touch, with an excellent shower. Paula the host was lovely, bringing our breakfast each morning, a variety of cereal, yogurt , toast, fresh fruits, juice, tea coffee, pastries and also a warm option. The breakfast was perfect. Private parking next to the property. A nice little garden, but the weather a little cold to make use of it.

Everything, one of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in. The room is gorgeous and is so comfortable , you have your private outdoor space and your own entrance with beautiful views over looking parkland and a charming old church. The hosts Paula and Steve are so friendly, Paula thinks of everything to make you comfortable and the personal touches are amazing. Really great location right in the center of everything but set back so really private. Lovely tasty continental breakfast brought to your room with lots of variety. We will be back I’m sure , missing it already 😃

There is nothing to dislike every box ticked

We booked Darcey’s in the yard as we were attending a wedding at Rise Hall which was only a 13 minute drive away. Paula was so helpful in communicating with us prior to our stay letting us know what was happening in the local area and providing us with advice to book taxis in advance. The accommodation itself was fantastic, completely self contained with everything you could need. Quiet with charming church bells, secluded and secure, we had such a wonderful stay. It’s exceptionally clean with gorgeous fluffy towels, lovely toiletries and snuggly dressing gowns. Being woken to a delicious warm continental breakfast was the best start to the day especially when nursing a sore head! Just a short car ride from the beach and beautifully quaint surroundings. This place is truly exceptional. Paula is a wonderful hostess and she looked after me and my husband as if we were dear friends. We received a very warm welcome and we were delighted to find that Paula had left welcome gifts of prosecco, cakes and chocolates in our beautifully decorated room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and The White Company bedding and toiletries were very classy touch. The garden is gorgeous and there is a lovely seating area surrounded by pretty flowers. The continental breakfast was delicious and very generous!

We are walking the English Coastal Path and sometimes struggle to find good value accommodation. So Darcey's was a wonderful surprise after a long day's walking. Quite simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Fantastic shower; comfortable bed; good quality continental breakfast, beautifully presented (and at silly o'clock in the morning because we had a long day ahead of us). There were lots of lovely little touches that made the stay special. The difference between an average B&B and a great one is the host - in this case, Paula. Fabulous, fabulous, place.
