Great value, the common area is very nice and the Kitchen is awesome.
No posted information. In the 2 days I was there, I walked at least 4 other travelers/groups thru their arrival process. Q. Where are the staff? A. There's none one site. Q. How do I check in? A. Look for an email, it will tell you your room number. If you don't have the email you will need to call the number on your booking confirmation. Q. How do I access the WiFi? A. It is only in the common area, the name and password are on the back of the router.

The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable, if a bit creaky. There was good heating. The shower was excellent. The communal areas were adequate. There is an oven, hob, microwave, kettle and much more.
In one of our rooms the plug was stuck in the washbasin (we managed to get it out using a sharp knife from the kitchen) and there was a area of floor tiling beside the bath with water underneath. In the other room, one of the windows could be opened from outside.

Worth the price and the facilities! I love how clean, spacious, equipped, and cheap the hostel is. We cooked for the trip around isle of sky and the kitchen is very well equipped! Would recommend all my friends whos going to isle of sky to stay here. Thank you 😁
The downside only i think the wifi didnt reached our room from the kitchen (?) Maybe we need to focus and not work while on holiday 🤣 And there is no towel and bathroom mat Idk but overall its all excellent!

Very nice location and picturesque charming chalets for this hostel, close to Loch Ness and to castles and prehistoric sites. The common kitchen and hall is very cosy and reasonably well equipped. We used it in the late evening with no accessibility problems. Very large private bathroom, outside seats to enjoy the surroundings nature (a bit cold for us to actually use, but very nice).
The room was ok but very essential, one bedside lamp was not working. The common kitchen is not very clean, possibly due to some hosts not caring much about others, maybe the presence of some staff personnel checking occasionaly (we did not meet anybody from the staff) would discourage this behaviour.

The en-suite room and bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and there was a nice wardrobe for storage. The kitchen areas were also spacious and well equipped, and the shared dining /sitting rooms was absolutely delightful, full of light and really comfortable for both eating and lounging with a book and a glass of wine! Really appreciated being able to take the dog too, and have plenty of space for her.
A little bit of outside lighting on the path and at the entrance to the rooms would have been great, but we managed with our phone torches.

When we arrived at the property we been told that someone broke the shower in the room so they transferring us to a new hostel which is another 10 kilometers back to the town centre. This review is about the new hostel. HOSTEL name - 1 lochness Hostel Nice Hostel- nice clean bedroom and toilet. Nice living room and kitchen common area. Parking space at the back. The photos uploaded are of the new hostel.
Next morning we were making breakfast when the bread got stuck in the toaster- bit of bread got burnt and because of the smoke the smoke alarm went off. The in house staff came screening shouting as if we did this by purpose. We did not activated the smoke alarm by purpose - it just happened because the bread got stuck in toaster and got burnt. No point of screaming and shouting. Try to avoid this hostel because of the staff. Don't recommend this hostel

1st time experience with hostel. Very well surprised. Room was big with a double bed and bunk bed for kids , clean and tidy. Large bathroom. Hot water, heating worked as we needed to put it on after a rainy days walks and we stayed there in June. Kitchen/dinning with everything you need. Very well supprised.recommended.
A bit far where we needed to be but managable.

The place was great. Lots of space.
The beds were quite uncomfortable. The signage wasn't great if arriving at night. The light is above the hostel sign, so we couldn't see it as it was shining over the hostel sign. The right arrow on the hostel sign on the building is small so we almost went into the house.

Good: most things worked; hot water, heater and kitchen appliances. It has a well equipped kitchen.
False advertising. Towels was mentioned on the amenities but was not provided. They sent me a message of not providing towels when money was taken from my account. Very deceiving! I rang the number provided and the person on the other end of the phone hung up on me when I mentioned this to him. How rude!
