The person at the reception desk was lovely. Very friendly and kind. We booked two rooms, one standard and one budget because that was the combination that fitted the number of people in our party. The standard room was really lovely, with gorgeous wallpaper and an excellent shower. The budget room was more bare bones but was still very clean and quite comfortable.
The layout both within the main hotel and to get to the budget rooms area was a bit confusing. The main building is a walk-up which means hauling bags up stairs--this was a minor inconvenience for us but would be more of a problem for someone with mobility problems.

Great location and the room we were in was modern fresh and clean
The second room we were given was in a block round the back, very tired and needing a full refresh especially being at one of Scotlands top tourist attractions. A very disappointing room. Also no fridge in the rooms. Lay out of the reception area is poorly designed. You feel like you are interrupting staff conversations when you walk through. Access to the accommodation in both the main building and exterior accommodation blocks is not secure at nights, all exterior doors left unlocked. Some of the staff felt like they didn’t want to be there and were definitely not adding to the customer experience. Hospitality is called Hospitality for a reason.

The family room was lovely, bright and spacious and very clean. The bathroom was modern and I don't think i've ever had a better shower - fabulous after a day's walking. The hotel is well placed for visitor attractions and close to the village green where there is a good selection of places to eat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and made our stay very pleasant.
We stayed in June and at that time of year The Highlands is full of coach tours which tend to take over restaurants and hotels. We were woken by an early departing tour that were clearly excited by the day ahead. Of course, nothing the hotel can do about that.

Comfortable beds with an excellent view! Great service, but a limited menu. An amazing array of the different scottish whiskies!
The manager (a man named Donald i believe) could have had far better manners. I was delighted by the staff's service until i met that man. We were seated at the table reading the menu when he abruptly walked up to us from behind and without even a hello, snatches the menu from our grasps and explained how the other customers walking into the restaurant required the menu. To explain further, we had only just previously been seated and had not yet had the chance to even read the menu.

I was travelling alone and on a budget, all things considered, value for money, comfy, clean and friendly staff! I was doing lots of walking and it helps to have a bath for aching muscles, which you don't usually get in a single room, especially a budget single so I was extra happy about that!
I honestly had no issues; it depends on your needs. I wanted a budget room with basics and a bath for a home base, and that's what I got. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The food was good from the restaurant and local cafe, and the area was beautiful. I hope to go back for another visit.

The hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the Loch Ness area, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout the stay. One of the highlights was the attached restaurant, which served delicious meals in a cozy setting. Even better, the property is connected to a gin brewery and visitor center, which added a unique and enjoyable experience right on-site—super convenient and fun.
There’s not much to complain about overall. The only downside was that the room was quite small, which made things feel a bit tight, especially with luggage.

Nice private room tucked away behind the cafe. It was far enough from the main road that it was very quiet, and the room was very comfy. The staff were very friendly and incredibly dog friendly! Drumnodrochit is quiet this time of year (December) but there is a lovely little pizza restaurant in town that kept me well fed.
The room was very dark, and the lights were positioned so that the only place that was illuminated was the bed. Not normally an issue, but as I was traveling for work, it made it slightly challenging that I couldn't use the desk in the room.

When the hotel realised that someone who deals with their social media had made a mistake on the description of our room stating that it had mountain views which none of the rooms do ! They where quick to give us both a free breakfast worth over £30 to make up for the mistake It was Sharon who sorted everything I think she was the manager ,she was very nice and quick to sort things out for us
The wee guy on the desk at the front had as much life as a funeral home , we had to ask where and how to get to our room as he just said (here room 17) and put the key card down and went back to what he was doing , not a very warm welcome for such a famous hotel

Great location for exploring wider Inverness area. Popular with families and walkers. There is a cafe, restaurant, ice cream shop and 2 gift shops on site. Short walk into the village for small village shop, gift shop and a couple of restaurants. The room was lovely although walls were a bit thin and could hear neighbours at times. Staff were nice. Plenty of parking on site. The restaurant was nice but we felt it was a bit overpriced for the quality of the main courses we received but the starters and desserts were fab. We felt it was a bit expensive for room only although we left it really late to book which may have limited the options available.
Breakfast wasn’t included in the price.

Great location on the way and at the lake (but we didn't come because of it). It's a bigger complex, but our lodge room was secluded from the main buildings and had that countryside cabin feel which I liked. The room size was also allright. There was heating which we could use. I could also park right next to the room, there was generally a great amount of parking space. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
I don't believe there was a fridge available, which would have been useful.
