We stayed at the Penta a hotel for five nights over three different visits. The location can’t be beat. The staff at the reception bar was very good. W only got the room we requested one of the three different stays. They were I I dated with large tour groups that kept us from eating at the hotel and having everything available for breakfasts. The tour groups would wipe it out quickly.

The big tour groups at breakfast. Requesting and paying extra for early check in only to be told that they only had one room available. We had requested and paid for twins and a Penta plus room.n we got a double bed and the smallest room there is! We were offered complimentary breakfast which we thanked you for. Luckily the friend and I that were traveling together are good friends and we made the best of it.

Pentahotel saved me from night in the cold after Easyjet cancelled my flight at 1 in the morning. There was some difficulty with synchronising the reservations on Booking.com and the actual hotel platform, and since many of us were procuring a place to stay at such a late hour, it was initially quite confounding for the team. Still, they made an effort to sort us out and find us accommodation, stating that if they didn't have a room they would help us find one elsewhere. For that I am very grateful. As for the room and hotel itself, it was a very comfortable stay. Staff, as I stated above, was very helpful. Breakfast was vast and delicious. The location quite central in Inverness. Should I return to Inverness, I would certainly think to stay at Pentahotel.

The location was excellent! We needed to be close to the bus depot and the train station. The hotel is also located in the center of town and easy to find interesting places to eat and to go shopping. Nice restaurant onsite. Great breakfast buffet.

The cleaning of the room was very confusing. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and were unable to get anybody to come and clean the room - even when we put the required sign on our tour. We also could never get clean towels and we had to keep asking. Finally, we had a huge pile of dirty towels on the floor and begged them to come and get it.

Lovely restaurant on the property and a great buffet breakfast. Perfect location for us because it was right by both the train station and the bus station. Also close to many fine restaurants and shopping in town.

We had a difficult time understanding when our room would be serviced. We stayed there for 4 nights and while we didn't expect the room to be cleaned each day, it was never cleaned the entire time, even when we put the door sign up to come in and clean. We had to ask for clean towels every day and finally, when the pile of dirty towels grew so large on the bathroom floor, we begged them to come take the towels out. When we checked out, we were informed about some sort of green initiative for when our room would have been cleaned. However, we were never told about this! Very perplexing! This is why I rated things a little lower.

Location is great, minute from the river, close to the main sites with a cheap parking lot near by. The hotel is clean, staff is very nice and welcoming The bar and Lobby are pleasant and modern. , We enjoyed sitting at the bar for drinks at the end of the day. Reception is open 24/7 which is rare for hotels of this price rate

The room is a bit old fashioned and could use some refurnishing. It's even more obvious when you compare it with the Lobby which is well designed and modern Our room was facing a bar, between 01:00 to 02:00 there was a noisy group of partygoers, drinking and smoking. It was hard to sleep till the cheerful bunch called it a night..

This was a nice hotel to stay in. The room was very clean but had a feeling of being "weathered" probably with the quantity of tourists passing through. Staff were friendly but felt officious when checking in. The bed was comfy with decent towels.

Sadly, our room was next to the lift shaft, and you could hear it every time it moved. There was also a party in the adjacent room which went on all night. The hotel dealt with this, and I was refunded money due to the disturbance it caused. The water from the shower did not escape down the plug hole quickly enough, which resulted in me flooding the bathroom, which was not ideal.

Great location on Academy Street, just through the lane you face when you disembark at Inverness Bus Statio. It's perfect for city centre exploration and amenities. The overall ambience of the place is fantastic. Trendy and modern without being pretentious. Staff were all tremendous and very friendly to deal with. Free WiFi that was fast and reliable also so if you're doing some business etc, on your laptop, you'll have no issues. Bedroom was very spacious and well lit by daylight and at night with the lights on comfortable with freeview tv and a large selection of movies on demand at no extra cost. The double bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean and the shower deserves a 5* review of its own. Also the complimentary handwash, shower gel and shampoos are all top quality. I had a room that faced into their beer garden so it was quiet but unsure as to how that would be when the summer months come in though. Will definitely be looking for this place again next time I'm in Inverness

The door to the bathroom would act as the shower door when it was opened. Fine for me as a solo traveller but if you're in a room with others you'll have no privacy to shower unless you want to risk flooding the bathroom

Room was modern and really cosy. The bed was so comfy! Loved the big shower and the handy clothes rail/luggage shelf. The hair dryer although it’s tied to the wall was powerful and worked well. Didn’t have the breakfast, but loved that check out could be as late as 12pm! Great for when you’re in town for a late night catch up with friends. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Hair dryer is tied to the wall with its cord - I understand why but they didn’t really take the user’s height into account. I’m a 5 foot 7 female with a lot of hair and I couldn’t lift the hair dryer high enough to reach the top/back of my head (whilst in a standing position)! This was just a minor annoyance. Sound proofing between rooms is non existent - I was woken multiple times by a VERY loud snorer but that’s not really the fault of the hotel.

Lovely decor, looks very vibey! Travelled with daughter so didn't get full experience of using the bar/lounge or fitness room, maybe do it again with friends! Pet friendly. Room was lovely and clean! modern looking and beds were super warm and comfy. Amazing black out curtains that I thought it was still dark outside untill I seen the time in the morn and opened them!!! For a city centre hotel on a fri/sat night it was surprisingly quiet and relaxed. From what interaction I had with staff they were all lovely.

Nothing in particular that probably could have been rectified, ( I just chose not to complain) room was a bit cold. We had 2 radiators, 1 of which was switched on but didn't work, perhaps housekeeping could report these things to be fixed prior to guests arriving. I actually work as a Housekeeper myself and this is something we would have flagged, specially at this time of year. I'm unsure if I booked wrong or wasn't clued up but I stayed 2nights and I don't believe breakfast is included in the price, I think it's separate. We did not eat in the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival, during the stay and after checking out (12pm checkout btw). I will be back to stay again. Very Central, can’t comment of the food, but didn’t hear any complaints from other dinners when I was in the bar.

For me personality, the lack of draught lagers and beers, and can only pay by card. Also, some weird service/surcharge (£0.54) every few drinks, which the staff were unable to explain as it was a new policy. The low seating area near the front windows we ample, but didn’t have room for everyones legs or a table for drinks, was more like a sofa bed. Lol.
