The view across the River Ness & hills beyond was excellent from my room on 5th floor. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Hotel was handy for public transport, about 3 mins walk from railway station. [Inverness also known as the 'Highland Capital' has rail services heading north, south, east & west - I recommend the 'Spirit of Scotland' Rail-Rover Ticket which gives 4 or 8 days of virtually unlimited travel anywhere in the country at a reasonable price.]

'Compact' was a fair description of the room - although it was adequate for one person (would have been pretty cramped for more than one). Reception staff when I arrived late on the Saturday night (off the evening train from Edinburgh) could have been more attentive, especially for deaf people such as myself.

Great location- near train and bus stations, restaurants, and shopping, also Ness Walk. Staff was very helpful. (When my suitcase needed repair, person at desk gave several detailed options.) Excellent (optional) breakfast. Very fresh with lots of great options and service.

There was trouble with the internet while we were there, which was resolved. Our room overlooked the street side and even three floors up was noisy with nighttime crowds. Understandable as we're in a vibrant city, but if you need quiet, ask for the non street side.

On site parking is always a must wherever we stay as my wife has mobility issues. Location in Inverness is excellent for shops and amenities. Very tidy and comfortable room.

Some members of staff had very little knowledge of various drinks stocked behind bar, I had to point out that Martel was a brandy after being told that you didn't stock it. Unfriendly staff in the breakfast room, lack of pleasantries after being met at front desk, no conversation with customers after that. Too eager to clear crockery from breakfast table when we were obviously not finished. Front entrance and reception needs to be updated and brightened up, receptionist could be more active with customers rather than just sitting behind a desk.

The room was ideal for us,. Nice clean, large bed, good in room facilities, excellent shower, The breakfasts were really good, freshly cooked and plentiful. Check in and out process very simple. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the station and bang in the centre of town, so all the attractions, pubs, restaurants and shops are within very easy walking distance.

There was nothing I could think of in the hotel which I could say we didn't like. Although the property is a little dated, it's well maintained and clean.

Excellent location to visit Inverness with car parking. Room spacious and comfortable. Good shower room. Obviously recently renovated. Friendly staff throughput. Expresso coffee machine and bottled water replenished daily.

Is tired looking from the outside. Smoking area by rear doors to car park a bit unpleasant for non smokers as the first area you see on arrival. Bathroom sink design with running water and not being able to fill sink for use always seems a waste of water.

Location was great and staff friendly. Lovely views from room window. Lack of electrical sockets for dryer/straightners always carry extension cable for this exact reason. No charging points for phone next to bed. Only 1 double socket which was situated at large desk which is very dated.

The stairs from carpark dated interior of rooms. Noisy outside from nightclubs which dies down early hours. No temperature control in room needed to open windows to cool room down.

We were met very well and upgraded on arrival due to the availability. The room was very spacious and the bed was excellent. Views over the river were great. Bar was well stocked and food was great as well.

Although the breakfast was excellent (veggie sausage, tattie scone, fried egg all really good) a wider selection of fruit could be available? The position of the kettle and coffee machine in the room could be closer to a socket so that you don't have to move them to use them. The over head shower could be more powerful.

Nicely decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent beds and bedding. Great Showers. A good range of breakfast choices. Love the "Tatty" Scones! Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice to be greeted with a "Good Morning" from house-keeping team.

Abominable instant coffee at breakfast 1st morning as coffee machines broken. but I am a coffee snob! :-] A couple of hooks in bathrooms would have been useful. Update the website information as we were told that "We don't do Lunch". Very disappointing as we had hoped to give a friend lunch on our 2nd day.

Perfect location for exploring Inverness. It was a bit loud from the pubs at night, that is no fault of the hotel. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice, walking distance to everything. A food market was just down that street. Many good restaurants to choose from. I rode the train very short walk to station. I also did day tours that left from the bus terminal, and departed on the Megabus. It was also a short 10 minute walk. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The food, sorry.

Sadly we had to skip brwakfast in order to catch a early bus to Ullapool to then catch a boat to stornaway but we did rather like to cosy feeling of the hotel in general

No too much We did wait rather along time for our meal in the evening and then an item was missing but to be honest we are not the complaining type as we have run a holiday park in the past and know how hard it is too please the general public so no real complaints from us
