From the start we were greeted with a friendly and helpful member of staff. The room was what I call "compact" but it contained every thing we could need. Thus, there was a wardrobe to hang clothes and a dressing table with drawers, comfortable bed, bedside tables and TV. The bathroom and toilet was also small but had everything including a double-head shower. An adjustable radiator kept the room cosy even when there was a storm outside. The cooked breakfast was excellent as were the dinners we had for each of four evenings. We felt completely relaxed and at home throughout our stay. We intend to return soon.

The pub is in a lovely Dales setting, complete with the agricultural mechanic garage opposite. The beer garden has possibly the best setting imaginable. Staff were super friendly. Make sure you book for dinner if you're staying, it's well worth it. Room and en-suite were immaculately clean. They are used to catering for coast-to- coasters, although we just came up to travel the train line from Settle. You'd need a taxi from the station if you have luggage. Try Prima Taxis, again, so friendly.

Our room (3) was a bit tight for space so would not suit larger couples.

The room was a little small but had a great view and was quiet even though it was right on top of the bar. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and provided good service when asked.

The process of getting to the hotel from the railway station was a nightmare. I should have organized the hotel to get a taxi to meet me. The taxi service in the area is non existent after 5:00 pm particularly on Sundays and phones are not answered. When I rang the hotel for assistance none was offered so I had to walk almost 3 km in heavy rain to get there.

Very well appointed room with mirrors and electrical sockets in all the right places, for hair drying, makeup and charging mobile etc Very friendly and helpful staff including Maisie behind the bar and lovely Ann serving breakfast. (The lady who checked us in was lovely too, but I didn't get her name.) Great choice of well cooked and presented food, and huge portions!

Only thing I can fault in any way at all. - The car parking spaces are a bit tight (Especially when other users park REALLY badly, but that's not the Black Bull Hotel's fault)

Breakfast was lovely. There was a good choice of food to suit everyone from fruit and cereal to the full works. The vegetarian option was welcome. Plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice. Toast was plentiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and polite. If you wish to have an evening meal we can thoroughly recommend booking a table in the restaurant. The food was beautiful and reasonably priced. The views are wonderful especially from the beer garden.

Loved everything about The Black Bull at Nateby. Can’t fault it

Welcome was warm and friendly and staff kept that up all evening. Good food and great beer on hand pull! Breakfast was excellent served by wonderful staff member.

Stay would be 10 out of 10 except for Pet Policy. Had to put up with a yapping dog in breakfast room ...... not everyone likes dogs and they should not be allowed in eating areas.

A beautiful part of the country. Black Bull not flashy on the outside but very comfortable and the evening meal and breakfast were outstanding. All staff were friendly, curteous and very helpful.

Just one very small thing... when we first came out of our bedroom, room 5, there was no light on in the long landing which includes a step midway which we couldn't see... all lights came on by sensor but only when we got to the corner where the other rooms were.

Very nice room, lovely comfortable bed and duvet, tastefully decorated. Breakfast excellent. Food very good with plentiful portions from a varied menu. The Black Bull is in a fine location for exploring the. surrounding countryside.

Not sure about dogs being allowed into the dining areas. Pub car park very small and difficult to turn round in.

A small but comfortable, clean room. Super quiet and a lovely view from the room. Easy access to the local town and far reaching views. Very nice dinner, I had the Cajun salmon and the rest of our party enjoyed the Fish and Chips

A little more choice at breakfast, perhaps some fresh fruit, yogurt but the full English was very good and I'm told the Black pudding was excellent!

Room was excellent and clean with very comfortable beds. Although it is classed as a pub it really is a restaraunt as there is no non-dining pub area. This means that there is no late night noise from drinkers. Nice and quiet.

We ate here but our meal was spoilt by being plagued by lots of flies. The pub needs to get an effective insect control device. Car park is extremely difficult to manoevre in and marked spaces are far too small for modern cars - we tried but then decided it was better to park along the road.
