We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Lancaster. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Excellent location - walking distance to the shops, bars and restaurants in Lancaster city centre. We visited the brewery during our stay which was a short taxi ride away costing £5 each way. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! We stayed in room 4 which faces the police station. There was some noise from the main road but that didn’t bother us and didn’t disturb our sleep. The help yourself breakfast station was a nice touch at no extra cost! This included cereals, fruit, tea, coffee and fruit juices. On the second night we had a few drinks in the bar which were reasonably priced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return to the hotel!

Nothing!

Great modern, clean accommodation in the centre of Lancaster, close to shopping centre and castle, museums etc. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was in the courtyard stables to the rear of the main building. Although the rate is for room only, there was a good selection of breakfast items that you could help yourself to (fresh orange juice, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and porridge pots). We would definitely stay there again.

It would have been nice to have chairs in the room to sit on - there was just a stool at the dressing table. We stayed on a very rainy day so there was no one using the bar courtyard sitting area, but if there had been, they can see straight into the downstairs rooms, unless you closed the curtains.

Complementary breakfst bar - liked that replenished frequently - choice reasoable. I aapreciated being on ground floor - bad knees make climbing stairs tricky. Appreceited the daily servicing of the room. Spacious bar area - pity about early closing - but understand your position. All staff welcoming, helpful and cheerful

Nothing really - Maybe residents could be allowed a drink after hours - maybe with a 11.00 limit. We plan to visit again later in the year , this time with a disabled friend and would like to have rooms 10 & 11 - can we book rooms direct with the hotel or does it have to be via a booking site.

Excellent, comfortable room with plenty of space and basically everything one needs. The person welcoming us was very helpful and friendly. We had some trouble finding parking space, but luckily the £5 a night on site parking space was made available to us. The room was clean and kept clean. The hotel was close to pretty much everything. Lancaster isn't that big, is it.

Can't think of anything. Things can always be better, bigger, cheaper, whatever, but we were quite happy with what was there and didn't miss anything.

Advertised as no breakfast but simple breakfast items were available FOC. Staff were exceptionally accommodating, made the stay so comfortable. The room was lovely, some street noise as expected in the location but they had clearly tried to minimise. The bathroom had some small cosmetic issues but the shower was the best I’ve had in a while! All in all a brilliant well located and good value hotel.

Street noise was persistent but that’s the trade off for the central location. The hotel had clearly tied to reduce the impact also.

The bed was super comfy and the duvet was amazing! Really great nights sleep. Despite the listing saying they don't provide breakfast, they do offer a self service light breakfast of cereals and fruits, and at weekends partner with a local cafe for an amazing brunch.

Our room was ground floor looking out over the beer garden - there was nothing stopping people looking in unless you drew the full curtain across, blocking out all daylight, A privacy curtain or film on the lower window would have solved this feeling of exposure.

The staff were incredible. They went the extra mile for our wedding night! We had roses in the room, heart-shaped coasters, a hand written card from the staff. The room was incredibly large, and immaculately clean! The internet was stable enough to easily stream videos to our tablet and connect two handheld games consoles to the internet too. There was a help yourself, breakfast nook, just near the entrance. Perfect if you're peckish during the night or if you really need that extra tea bag. It had a wonderful selection too! We'll definitely be staying here again when we next visit Lancaster! It was almost perfect!

The people in the room next door kept arguing loudly all night, but that's not the hotel's fault. Can't help your neighbours sometimes after all! Also massive vans/trucks going down the road at all hours of the morning. Again, can't be helped.

Lovely clean and spacious room, with a large comfy bed. In a excellent location in the city centre and only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Nice touch with the breakfast cereals/yogurts you can help yourself too, from the fridge close to the room. But the best part was the staff, expecially Liam. He was excellent and helped make the trip for my wife's birthday extra special. He noticed in the booking request, when I asked if there was a chance of a bottle of champagne being ready in the room for our arrival, which was provided. He also arranged for our room to be ready early, to coincide with our trains arrival time. Thank you! Also the pub is worth having a drink or 2 in. We ventured out around Lancaster, for a meal and an explore. But, the pub was nice and wonderfully decorated for Halloween. Also they had a great live performer singing. Which set us up perfectly, for our night out. Will definitely be looking at booking again in the future.

great location spacious room and a big comfy bed

we were disappointed that food wasn’t served as we were ready for a bar meal/lunch when we arrived, the bar itself was really nice so it would have been nice to sit have a meal and enjoy the surroundings. There were a number of places to eat close by though which the staff very kindly guided us to and there was the offer of a cooked breakfast in the morning had we wanted it (at an additional charge)

From the staff welcoming to handing keys back, we had the most fantastic time. As I walked into our beautiful room the staff had given me a birthday card, so lovely. The staff are second to none and will do anything for you, provided us with a map and circled some great places for us to try out. We loved being taste tasters for your new cocktails ( all of which were beautiful, especially the cherry Brandy one omg ) thankyou for making my big birthday one to remember, cannot wait to return

Nothing ! Maybe wish the bar was open later 😜
