Location is the main thing, its ideal. The room was simple enough, small. clean Access is simple enough though could do with a sign for people who aren't familiar with the location. Bed was good

Could do with a fridge in the room, no toilet brush in the toilet is annoying. Given the layout of the hotel you don't really get the feeling of a hotel, its more like a room in an apartment block. The TV was also not great, some of the channels were buggy, skipped a bit in places. The EPD didn't work either

I'm not a fan of pastries and coffee but knew that was all there was on offer, so was happy to make other arrangements

An option for more room ventilation would be welcome. Bathroom sink smelt a little of drains

Reception staff friendly & easy quick check in. No problems with the lifts or getting into the room. Room was clean and comfy with wide screen satellite TV. Bathroom was bright and spacious with excellent shower. There was even a iron & iron board in the wardrobe. Location also excellent near shops & pubs.

There was a complimentary breakfast with pastries & coffee which smelt nice but unfortunately we do not eat pastries due to my wife's medical condition. Toast or cereal would have been better for us but there are plenty of places to eat near by.

Rooms were very comfortable, especially the bed. Good lighting. Nice and quiet considering the location. Liked the big rain showerhead and step-in shower.

Breakfast was minimal and could have been attended to a little bit more frequently. There was nowhere to clean up after yourself: not even a garbage or recycling bin to bus your table after eating. That could easily be remedied! Some orange juice would have been a nice addition to the coffee and viennoiserie selection. and a few more tables and chairs set out--and a bin! Even though School Lane is in a great central location close to downtown, the listing could give much better directions as to how to access it. We had a hard time finding it, even by taxi, and once there, the entrance was not clearly marked. With reception one level up (via unmarked elevator), more complete instructions for getting to the hotel--and getting inside seems vital--especially for guests arriving after dark.

Breakfast was complimentary and delicious! Location is amazing! Right in the city centre, and still super quiet at night time, we didn't get disturbed at all! Staff were super friendly, also we love that it's dog friendly and were able to bring our pup. Only £15 charge for the whole stay, which is great in comparison to other hotels in the area who charge £30 per night for bringing a dog.

The floors were a bit sticky in the rooms, although clean, it wasn't perfect! Wifi isn't the greatest, but decent enough.

Recently refurbished and clean. Bed - very comfortable and shower wonderful. Lovely soft towels and good bed linen. The location is in the very centre of Liverpool, so really convenient. Even though central, School Lane is quiet - that and my room being on the 5th floor meant my stay was very peaceful. The hotel is also very discreet - you don't have to pass through reception when you enter - you can go straight up to the floor where your room is.

There was no fridge in the room. The lights and aircon have to be switched off manually before leaving the room. Neither of these were particularly an issue though.

Right from the first day the staff gave been very helpful and not in a 'habving to' be it's my job' of way ' but you can feel they were genuinely happy to help. The location was very central to what we wanted to do .Walking distance to Mathew Street,the docks and the bus station being close was an extra bonus for the out of centre trips such as Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields .Surrounded by shops from high end to low cost.Eateries abound .We visit Liverpool as leadt twice a year .By far the best hotel we have stayed in so far. 😊

Nothing really

Nice coffee and fresh pastries. Replenished as soon as they were low. Staff happy to help and obliged everyone. Beautiful rooms which were absolutely spotless. Bespoke curtains to fit the 12 ft windows. Beautiful high ceilings and lovingly and tastefully restored rooms. The bathroom was just gorgeous and the shower could have taken 8 people. Great water pressure too!

The bed could have been comfier ( little lumpy in places. The guests above were very noisy and seemed to be doing a lot of stomping around and banging on the floor, so soundproofing could be better.

We stayed for three nights in April, and everything was very good! The staff is exceptional, everything was clean, modern and worked perfectly. We had great heating, plenty of hot water and a great TV. The location is superb, especially if you're into shopping. It feels like you're living in a mall. The dock is a short walk away, as well as the rest of the city center.

The sixth floor seems to have a bit of a sound insulation problem. We could hear the loud neighbor in one of the evenings pretty clearly. But that wasn't a big problem for us.

No full breakfast as no restaurant on site but pastries and coffee were complimentary in the morning and very nice. Shower area was very roomy which many hotels aren't. Bed was comfortable. Location is unbeatable though - quiet street right in the centre of the shopping area and a short walk to Albert Dock.

Nothing I didn't like, it was very expensive for the facilities available but I was there for a Bruce Springsteen concert and the demand seemed to have pushed prices up a lot - in a normal week I think it would be much better value.
