I like the location, it was great. They had a restaurant, they host for company parties, the Garden is beautiful. The building has character and Class...I loved the feel of it. The staff were friendly and came to assist me immediately as soon as they saw me. How water was running well....I was so happy about that. The bed is very comfortable.

My toilet seat was broken. I could hear the baby next door who woke me and the parents at 2 am in the morning, There is no Lift...so getting to my took several corridors, a few stairs up and down....almost seemed like a maze. Carrying a Heavy bag up those stairs was quite a challenge.

Very friendly staff excellent food lovely bed hotel near to a lot of places to visit

Our bathroom floor really needed some attention ie tiles put on top of others but not very well. There was an event on our second day which was very noisy with kids shouting etc would have been better for your other guests if they had just been in one area rather than everywhere especially not playing piano which was under stairs right where our room was

Second time I've stayed here, this time different room and again it was really nice. Room is spacious clean warm, plenty of hot water for the bath. Bed very comfortable, sheets and towels, fresh. Quiet environment. Place is clean and tidy all over. Bar area was inviting and the breakfast was excellent value. Choice of cereals toast tea coffee fruit juice and fried breakfast. Over all it's just a pleasurable place to stay, and Ill continue to use it whilst it remains, like this.

To be honest nothing is really bad about the place. If I had to be picky I'd say the TVs are small screen, but I didn't really use the one in the room, and there is the odd stain on the furniture but this is age related with use.

Room excellent clean, comfy. I was in Room Elsa, bed very comfy, has a lovely bath after a days walking, first time I have visited this place, but will definitely use as my go to hotel. Didn't have a breakfast so can't rate that also didn't use the bar which I had intended to do., but fell asleep on the bed. The bar area did look plush so again will try to make use of it next time. Staff very friendly and helpful. So much better than a lot of other places I use in the past.

Didn't come across anything I didn't like, but as I say I didn't use all the facilities, but would be surprised if they fell short as the over all feeling was very positive.

Let’s cut to the chase, if you’re looking for somewhere with all the latest decor to look ‘luxury’ and impress people you don’t like on Instagram, it might not be for you. If on the other hand, you live in the real world and want somewhere to rest for the night that’s well located for the A55, not all that far from Snowdonia, very close to Beaumaris and the beaches of Newborough Forest, that’s friendly, quiet, cheap and comfortable, you can’t go wrong. Welcomed by Harri on arrival who had a genuinely personable and friendly manner. Didn’t have any of the food options as we’d already eaten but had a couple of drinks, bar and reception staff were pleasant and personable. The hotel welcomed our request pre-arrival for an end of corridor room as we were bringing our dog - speaking of which dogs were welcome subject to a £15 surcharge on arrival. The room and accommodation quarters were pretty well-worn but felt homely and comfortable. Good comfortable bed, the mattress felt quite firm and provided a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was quite small and basic, must remark that the shower was excellent, very warm and good quality. Facilities in the room were basic but it was a clean, comfortable nights room to get a good night’s sleep. Right next to the A55 but the road noise wasn’t intrusive, the setting actually felt quiet and secluded considering its useful roadside location. It felt like the venue is geared towards a wedding / functions venue? All in all, friendly no-frills accommodation which ticked the box perfectly. Would certainly visit again.

As touched on, some of the fittings and decor is rather old, worn carpets etc. That said I’d not be too worried about that in a cheap room to rest for the night. No real dislikes, I was pleased with the stay.

The property looks very grand from the outside, The grounds are lovely plenty of room to walk our dog

Needs a refresh, we were in the area for dog owners which is a great idea as the door leads out to a walking/toileting area so don’t have to go all through the hotel again, but saying that the rooms are very shabby although spotlessly clean, only have 1 pillow each and have to ask reception for more, normally I find spare pillows in wardrobes etc, our toilet cistern kept running so flushing all the time and the shower wasn’t very hot other than that they are exceptionally friendly

Excellent location for all amenities in the area. The hotel has just been bought by new owners and they are in the process of doing it up. This reflects the hotel- it is an old building that needs lots of TLC. The bar/restaurant area has been renovated to a high standard. The bedrooms do need some work. I accidentally booked twin room (was with husband) & was upgraded by jaceline to a double at no extra cost. The bed was very comfy, the room perfectly clean but the bathroom did need an upgrade. BUT it was a good value bed for the night for a wedding we were attending. Breakfast was flawless. The staff ALL polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The manager a jolly local man who was extremely helpful. We did enjoy a few drinks at the bar and it was reasonable.

It does need an upgrade in the bedrooms, particularly the bathrooms.

The staff were extremely helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent . The location was quiet. The room was large and comfy . The towels were huge thankfully and not the usual tiny handkerchiefs!

The bathroom. The shower was an attachment to the bath meaning the room was soaked when using it. The towel rail was coming away from the wall. Due to no ventilation the ceiling was showing signs of mould.

Having stayed here in the past we decided to stay again, we weren't dissapointed, the location for us was good the food was very good and the hotel has gone through some modernisation since our last visit, the rooms are in the process of been updated even more and the staff were exceptional and very friendly, we would definitely be back again the value for money was good.

Our room initially had an odour, perhaps because the heating had been on before our arrival but once we opened the window and left it on vent the room was fine for the rest of our stay, bare in mind it wasn't a busy time when we went so it is a small gripe and not one to put us off.
