Rooms were clean; beds were made on arrival. The loft rooms especially nice. Each room had a wash basin. Kitchen was very well stocked and walk through dining room spacious. We were there for just the one night. Jamie the manager was incredibly helpful, facilitating a parking permit for a space in the car park to the rear of the hospital. We could see our car from the kitchen sink and the hostel is accessible via a garden gate to the car park. If staying with family, this offers excellent value for money; we had 3 rooms booked the day prior for £160. Location of hostel is perfect, within walking distance of a picturesque Llangollen Bridge, Horseshoe Falls and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. An ideal introduction to Welsh countryside

Beds had spring mattresses which we found on the soft side. There really is nothing to dislike about the accommodation.

I found the hostel easily, very near the car park. A welcoming entrance and hallway. Inside the room was clean and tidy, with great under-bed storage, which would work very well for full occupancy, and small bedside tables, very good for guests, but not always provided for guests in similar accommodation. There was a great selection of kitchen equipment, including a microwave oven, plenty of fridge space. The lounge had a wide selection of books and games, something for everyone ~ with comfortable seating. Outside at the front there is a well kept, attractive garden, with seating for summer evenings, when we get them, At the back, very neat bins for recycling and a table and chairs for relaxing ~ what more can I say ~ wish I had been there longer to enjoy all the facilities. A peaceful atmosphere for my stay.

A small stool for sitting would have been good, though I appreciate space is limited. Otherwise I was very pleased with the room.

We stayed over here for one night as we were going to watch Paloma Faith. The room was two lots of bunkbeds for me and my 2 daughters. Alittle cramped space wise for 3 woman trying to get ready 😀 but other than that it was very good value for money. Room with a view, central to all shops, restaurants etc and 2 min walk from the river. The shared kitchen, dining room and lounge were nice, and the kitchen was greatly appreciated for our late night toasted bagels after the show. The owner was incredibly friendly and enquired about our stay in the morning. My girls were running late and he accommodated them, giving an extra half hour He also said they had bigger rooms if we came to stay again. I highly reccomend this place and will definately stay again.

As above, more space and maybe an extra chair as there were only two and sitting on the bunks was a tad awkward.

Llangollen Hostel is highly recommended. It's in a great location, very central, and there's a big car park to the rear with good access. My room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable. The shower/toilet was huge. When I visited, there was a very cold snap, but the heating was well up to make it cosy. There's an excellent communal kitchen and dining area, perfect for meeting like-minded travellers. Communication was very good and made finding it, and checking in very straightforward. The staff are very helpful. So, don't hesitate to book, you won't be disappointed. Remember, it's a hostel, not a hotel, perfect for those who enjoy the outdoor life.

Nothing I didn't like.

The host was a really friendly guy, gave us recommendations for places to eat/visit and checked if everything was ok with our stay. The hostel is in a fab location, a few mins walk from the river and restaurants/shops. Our room was a good size (family room, double bed and bunk bed) clean and comfortable and had a mini fridge which was handy. The shared facilities are also good, clean and spacious. Overall I would highly recommend this place and would definitely return.

Clean, quiet and comfy. Friendly and laid back. Jamie very helpful.Nice little sunny garden area. Easy check in, check out. Good communications before + during stay. Very good value for money. Centre of town for many lovely eating places.Handy food shop across the road open till nine. and a short walk to local Aldi. 2minutes to bus stop. Regular buses to places of interest Heritage trains. Canal Trips and Riverside walk on the doorstep. Suitable for all ages, singles, couple's and families and I enjoyed the mix. Hope to return

Nothing to dislike My first time in a hostel and I found Llangollen Hostel ideal for my needs

Everything. Spotlessly clean; large fully equipped kitchen including free tea, coffee milk and various sauces;; very friendly staff; reduced fee car park pass. Even when I discovered I had made a mistake about our departure date I was told we could stay the extra night free of charge. Where else would you find that sort of kindness and generosity? Will definitely be staying there again.

Could not fault anything.

We visited Llangollen for a weekend of outdoor activities. The hotel location is easy to find and excellent for the activities, with a large car park directly at the back of the property. Entry is by way of a keycode. The property is a converted terrace house and the rooms are arranged over a ground, + 2 floors above. The ground floor is for reception (manned in the morning) a well equipped and spacious shared kitchen and a decent sized living room. The bedrooms were functional, not luxurious, but clean and with sink. Each landing has a shared bathroom and toilet accessed by a keycode. Tea and coffee making facilities were available in my room. The bed was comfortable enough. Excellent value for money - but no frills !

Luckily we had glorious weather, but had it been raining, a TV in the living room might have been good

The hostel is very well situated indeed - the back of the hostel is just off the main car park in the town centre and depending on when you arrive and depart you might not have to pay for parking at all. We were given a 'suite' of rooms insted of the one room with three beds as we expected. This felt like an upgrade as we both got our own space with just the bathroom to share between us two. The house is lovely, old and well looked after. Despite the odd problem mentioned below I would defintely wish to stay here again and would reccommend it to others.

A couple of small niggles really - we were promised a parking permit which we would pay extra for and would be left in the room for us. There was no sign of the permit (I don't believe that we were actually charged for it in the end) and this caused me a little anxiety when we arrived as I wasn't sure if we'd be okay to park - we were though, The kettle in the room and the tea making facilities were an unexpected bonus but sadly the kettle was really unfit for purpose and so we didn;t use it - the owner (?) apologised profusely to my companion and it seemed he was genuinely mortified which while sad for him, does show that he cares about his guests.

Had a great stay at Llangollen hostel, we rented out the entire place, very good value for money! Loved the communal rooms (guitar in the lounge was a bonus!) the beds were comfy, location was great for nearby activities, shop just across the road was very handy. The parking passes were a useful extra too. Staff were great at communicating with us ahead of our stay and everything went very smoothly. Thank you - would love to return sometime :)
