Stayed here before, it's a beautiful spot & really nice I chose it because I have a 6months old puppy & k ew dogs were accepted. It's a lovely place in beautiful setting & lovely rooms, the only issue is no bar ...no drink served no pint no glass of wine or anything its advertised yet when I asked I was told my wife may open the bar later .....This place is really missing out it so could be a goldmine it could have a well stocked bar it could have a pizza oven van or burgers outside & a little music say bikers welcome its on the tip of horseshoe pass ... it could host rallies have camping pods & really do so well ! I love it & I am not criticising however it could make tons if it targeted the right market, beautiful setting beautiful buildings great outdoors spaces .....it seriously needs someone with passion & drive to help it out if I won't the lottery I'd make them an offer 100% it could be so much more its quite sad as its in a prime location yet feels tired xxxx I love it & will definitely visit again , I just think it's missing tons of opportunities................

No cold beer on a hot & sunny afternoon or a pub meal ..........

Excellent location to explore that part of Wales The labyrinth on reception was worth ever penny of her wages. The room was comfortable and had some nice homely features. Breakfast was very good well cooked and very tasty. I had an evening meal both nights again good service and well cooked food.

There was confusion by that was due to booking.com. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.

Nice views and very close to my job, excellent wifi and very quiet

There was no one in when I arrived and there was no one in I had to wait 2 hours till the owner arrived, there was no food being served and as there is a fine for having food in your room I had to go out to eat which made for a very long day considering I’d been at up since before 5am I didn’t get to relax till after 8pm

The breakfast was good.staff were friendly.the hotel was clean. The view was stunning from the hotel.

The radiator in our room was on full (really burning hot) all the time and there were no control's on it to turn it down....so I opened the window in the room and bathroom to cool the room down. The matteress was well used I could feel the springs when I laid on it, but I still slept well.

The Hotel is dated in its decoration but the staff and location make it a very nice visit and it's always very warm in the rooms. we have stayed here more than once and the breakfast is great value . It is so close to great scenery and walks

Stayed here several years ago on a number of occasions. Magnificent location, great staff. Needs updating, agreed, but value for money is exceptional.

Need my breakfast after just going for an early morning run. Doesn't seem to be anything available.

Lovely settee and coffee table at bottom of the four poster bed to comfortably sit and watch TV in the evening. Super view from the room window. Nice big tea cups and beautiful four poster bed. Very quiet location with the sounds of nature all round and no traffic. Loved seeing the spring lambs jumping in the fields and see the sun rise and peak through the hills on the frosty morning. Nice big garden to sit in and plenty of parking space.

Unfortunately I had a lot of difficulty getting the shower to a usable heat as it was either full on hot or cold. The mixer needs looking at. I found the pillows way too hard for me and I would have liked to have had the option of a spare softer cushion available. Unfortunately, this caused me to have a troubled nights sleep and bad neck in an otherwise lovely setting and beautiful place. Our bathroom was rather old fashioned and the décor oldy worldly but was clean and fresh and was in balance and suited the hotel

A very enjoyable stay. The location of the hotel was excellent,beautiful countryside setting,with huge parking available. The evening choice of meals were excellent and sensibly priced.

Bar closed at 9.00pm.

Good location. Easy parking, room large and comfy bed and bedding. Lovely view from the windows of mountains. Tea and coffee and kettle in room. (Would have appreciated a biscuit or 2).

Bathroom was a bit tired and could do with updating. Hot water in shower over bath difficult to regulate with the mixer taps) Also the doors in the bedroom , are dark brown and would benefit from being updated or painted white. (These are just the aesthetics though)

Nice location, brilliant beers. Evening meal was nicely prepared as was the breakfast we had. Would recommend to friends. Nice outside area after a meal for beer or coffee - lovely old world charm / atmosphere sitting outside - time moves at a glacial pace in Wales so very relaxing.

The back yard was a bit of an eyesore with various containers, sheds etc associated with the onsite brewery. Needs a bit of a tidy up but not a deal breaker.
